Hi mate your last video helped me out about the hidden menu and coolant display . My fans no kicking in even at 100c only way to keep car under 100c. 94c is blasting the heaters full blast but getting to hot for that now am cooking lol any idears thanks

Do you leave the cap off the coolant bottle (header bottle) while bleeding for 10-15 minutes,after holding the gas pedal down for 10 to 15 seconds and opening it to check electric water pump is running as shown in the video.

My 2014 535i overheated and derated on the interstate. I pulled over and found it was low on coolant (I hadn't checked it in 9 or so months). After I filled it, it continued to slowly overheat but then return to normal operating temperature, over and over again (I monitored the temperature via the hidden menu) . Once I got home I was able to bleed the system and top it up thanks to this/your video! Crisis averted >.

I have a 2017 430i and I think my mechanic didn’t do this to the car . I still have the car asking for coolant after it’s hot. When I remove the cap halfway I hear a lot of air coming out. Is that normal? I did change a hose and he replaced another piece under the manifold to remove the part. Any ideas?

Hi George, good work great channel. Any recommendations for replacing the water pump on my E93 N53 engine? There seems to be a lot of choice, I guess most of the cheap ones will be Chinese? Is Pierberg a good bet?

Done this about 10 times so far and can still hear air in the system, no heat from heaters. As the water pump is cycling the water doing the bleed i can hear crackling/air by the oil filter. Cant find any leaks or anything and the car doesnt overheat, just no hor air out of the heater vents....which is getting pretty rough now its freezing cold in the UK.

For me, there is no bleeding when i try to do this like U. N47 E90 LCI 320d. I don’t know something wrong.
N47 does not have an electric waterpump

How many litres of coolant does that engine fit?

also does the pump stay on and pump for the full 10 mins ?? mine doesnt stay on all the time..we previously bleeed it a few montsh ago after installing new water pump..i hope my pump isnt bad or does it stop pumping once air is all out?? hope u can answer

Would I just leave everything closed if I want to start running coolant through the system before starting the engine? Had a severe coolant leak and engine over heated I waited 2 days before starting it again it got so bad i couldn’t even start my car but I want to run some coolant through the hose and around so when she starts she won’t over heat again. If she starts again 🤦🏽♂️

Just drive the car first, it won’t kill your battery running the water pump for 10 mins

If this doesn't solve the issue with cold air one side hot the other, is it a case of try it a couple of times or do I move onto trying another issue?

I’m having a issue with my engine n53b30 325i, coolant overheating and going over the 90degrees celcius, a local garage diagnosed the issue and said it was the water pump which I changed today and I followed the procedure of bleeding it and getting the air out of the system but it’s still doing the same thing overheating and going over the 90degrees celcius. Any tips on what else I can check to see what’s causing this issue? pls try get back to me mate, cheers
What do you mean going over the 90 degrees? You do know these engines run at different temperatures right?

I have do this. But than im driving for 40 km highway . When im back i open the tank and still water bleeding into the tank. Whats wrong.

To keep your car battery good yes i usually use another Benz make sure enough gas tho and add extra oil.
do u have to flush after topping up when u take off cap? when i tried to bleed without CAR RUNNING, my headlites stayed on and ran my battery down? how u turn headlights off???

@@GeorgeAusters i had them off but they still came on ..i didnt start the car as i was bleeding the system..weird..when i shut the start button off and pulled key out, they went off..
Same thing battery died on mine make sure charger on battery.

What to do if your pump don’t cut on
Check black box with 30 30 20 30 30 fuse passenger side check those if pump not on I removed mine before doing this test coolant pushed right out .

Hey I replaced my radiator and everything is good no leaks but I still have my light on for the coolant should I re bleed it ? And also don’t you have to turn the bleed screw when bleeding the system ?
If light is on then your coolant is low, just add more until at max level
@@GeorgeAusters it’s at its max level w the floating red thingy with coolant under could it be that the radiator has the wrong drain plug I have a automatic and its the manual one originally in it I didn’t think to check it and just replaced the radiator but could that be a reason for the light to be on?
I always do it with the engine on for 10 minutes and then close cap and no problem

Did you figure out the problem? Just replaced my water pump, but it still won’t turn on when I try the bleeding procedure
@@Li8eralsarescum69 I replaced my water pump which worked for me. Have you tried checking the fuses in the white electrical box under the bonnet?
