I cut it down even further. 1 cup mini marshmallows, 1 cup cereal and 1 Tbsp butter. Depending on time of year I add Pumpkin Pie spices, or Vanilla extract, or chocolate chips or even Maple Flavored Marshmallows. Pat into a 4" square cake pan and just enough for ME!
I need something sweet just once in awhile so I cut it down even more.. I do 1 T of butter, 1/2 cup of rice krispies and 1/2 cup of mini marshmallows in a small saucepan. That's it ...really fast and just right! Thank you for the idea.
I thought the butterscotch ones would be my Favorite., And it is. But, the plain rice crispy treats with vanilla added are a very close second. Very close.
Ralston's Foods brand name for "Crispy Hexagons" gluten free is PERFECT for rice crispy treats!! Try them. WAY better taste than the Rice Crispy cereal.

Did you add 1/2 cup of butterscotch chips ?
the recipe uses 1/3 cup of butterscotch chips.
