If I have the Deity D3 Pro connected directly to the camera, will it turn off when I turn the camera off, and then turn on when I turn the camera back on? (without me pushing any buttons?)
Hi Scott, Thankyou so much for this video, for some reason , my mic light doesnt turn green , it stays orange do you have any idea why that's happening ?
Hi! Just bought myself one couple of hours ago. Got a used one in perfect condition for 100$ bucks, for the price I got it, it should be a killer aha. Hope it will work out well for my shoot tomorrow. I've put mic to 10 and in my A1 I set volume to about 5, should work out fine I hope. Thanks for a video, well done.
I thought the same thing I even went and ordered a new mic😂but in all actuality all u have to do is twist it to the left and it’ll come off… u just gotta play with it
Can't the Pro turn on automatically when attached to a camera that is turned on? I have both and I use the cheaper one simply because I don't have to worry about turning it on lol. Also the screws on the cheaper mic are higher quality than the pro 😂🤦🏾 it always falls off.
Gain increases output volume. Having gain too high at any 1 step will cause clipping (volume too high, loses information) and noise. Having gain too low will cause output audio to be too low, which can introduce noise if you have to digitally increase volume. Usually you’ll want to set gain so that your peak volume does not ever reach 0 on the meter, causing clipping, and it’s usually best to have some headroom to be safe. Any more can then be added in post, often through the help of limiting/compression in voiceover work.
Thanks exactly what I needed to setup my mic correctly 🙏

It will go on sleep mode to save battery and turns back on when you turn on your camera

The screw at the bottom prevents you from sliding on

Good point! Looks like the mic needs to be charged or have external power connected to work!
Could you tell us what the gain knob does in terms of sound? I know nothing about audio 😭
