  • In this video I build the eye mechanism of the 3D printed inMoov robot.

    Very cool assembly! Are you using the original stl files from Gaël? Also, what is that servo tester you are using, that would come in handy:) thanks

      Hi James, I used the original stl files from Gaël. Because I don't use a camera I printed a grey 5mm thick cylinder to bring the white of the eye more to the opening in the face. I also printed a black disk for the pupil. The tester I use you can find at: www.aliexpress.com/item/HJ-Digital-Servo-Tester-ESC-Consistency-Tester-for-RC-Helicopter-Airplane-Car-RC-Tools/32360165706.html

    The DS9229HV don't appear to be sold at hobbyking, what other servo can be used, thanks.

      Hi the deamon. I used a Tower Pro SG91R for the left/right motion and a Tower Pro SG90 for the up/down motion.

    ¿ABS or plastic?

    • @Sumida2
      @Sumida2 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      ABS _is_ a type of plastic. This looks like PLA, which is another type of plastic.

    • @jvegazorro
      @jvegazorro 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see you have taken my question as a joke, it is not.
      I buy PLA for my 3D printer for some jobs, for another I buy ABS.
      They are not mechanically the same, therefore, my question is still standing.
      Is it ABS or PLA?

    • @Sumida2
      @Sumida2 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Maybe it didn't come through in the youtube comment, but I was completely serious - no joke. They are both plastic. Your question made it seem like ABS was not plastic. I did not make the video, but from the shinyness of the material and the fact that the author has made other parts for the same robot from PLA (it says so on his web site), it is very likely PLA. PETG can also be shiny, but as I said, I believe this is PLA. SInce I didn't make the video, you can not expect a 100% correct answer from ME.

      Hi Jose, I use PLA for all of the parts.

    I guess he never ever heard of thread lock... that's a lot of tiny screws to come loose

    • @markcygnus
      @markcygnus 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Daniel. I used self tapping screws for the most part and they didn't come loose yet. I also used some lock nuts. Maybe the normal nuts can use some thread lock.
