@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia I picked up Super Mario Bros. a week before it’s initial release! My son and I loved it. Nastalgia like you said. Im 48 now so yea lol!! The picture and sound quality were absolutely phenomenal in my opinion. How great was Dawn of the Dead in 4k!? (I saw it at the theater twice)…The picture quality was stunning! Especially ontop of the mall. The colors were just phenomenal n vibrant..The previous blue ray!? I mean, I can pitch that now right!? Haha! ….I own Air Force One and Cliffhanger, but the previous 4k copies unfortunately. Double N triple dipping like crazy nowadays… At the end of your video I went on to Amazon and ordered Paranorman. Upgrading my regular blu ray which may have also come in 3D. I loved it, and if you say it’s a must own Im buying 😀 Always love your reviews as they honestly help me decide if I should upgrade or not. Keep up the fantastic work.
I agree with the star trek movies, I loved how they look. You don’t need the best looking 4k quality but if they fix color and issues from the Blu-ray then it is a must buy. Kubo is a favorite my wife and I love to watch, great transfer. Love your list and I need to pick up a few

True Lies, Abyss and Aliens come out in 4k UHD for the first time in March. Not sure if you mentioned those before.
Awesome 4k BEST OF 2023 (so far) list! I thought for sure the Arrow release of The Last Starfighter would make your list, I know of your fondness for that movie:). New pickups for me will be Coda, Dawn of the Dead, SNW, All Quiet, Kubo and Boxtrolls. Just a heads up…Amazon Europe says they only have 8 copies of Coda left! Keep up the great work!
I had actually considered The Last Starfighter 4K, but this is my TOP 10 favorites list including the image & sound quality & the Last Starfighter was great as I shared in my review video but it was not a reference quality 4K UltraHD💿 like these titles in this video were! But it’s always hard narrowing down to create a video like this because there have been sooo many good 4K releases to own this year & we are only half way through too LOL!!!!😅
So we have some big 4K’s coming out still this year to look forward too!👌
You’ve also got some great films on 4K💿 that you just listed from this video to watch & man are you going to enjoy them!
Also, as I was explaining in my review video of CODA it’s an EXTREMELY Limited Edition 4K release with only 2,500 copies worldwide even created!

Thanks for responding! Yes! Station 11, I really liked it, and Waterworld-Wow! I am so in awe of how these discs look in 4k on an Oled! I also watched Tenet on 4k, it was incredible! I’m glad I purchased Coda when I did.
I also learned, always choose to pay in Euros instead of dollars. You get a better conversion rate from your bank. Each bank might be different, but, with my bank it’s always cheaper, sometimes much cheaper:). Best practices:)
With Star Wars the complete saga the blu ray is incredible(the box set with Darth Vader on the front cover). This is the best blu ray I've ever seen.

Great list. Have picked them all up and have enjoyed all the reviews you have done on them as well. I see a few other lists have added the avatar movies to their top ten so far this year. I am hesitant to pick them up given disney's track record excluding Cinderella. That Cinderella transfer is one of the best restorations not just disney has done but most other studios as well, its beautiful.

As far as Avatar goes, I’m simply not nearly as huge a fan of the Avatar movies themselves, they are fine enjoyable Sci-Fi distractions but I simply feel a lot of James Cameron’s better more entertaining films were earlier in his career like The Abyss, The Terminator, ALIENS, True Lies & TITANIC we’re all far superior films & storytelling over any of the Avatar films themselves!
I’m still waiting for all of those Cameron films I listed to get 4K restorations on 4K UltraHD💿, I think we might see TITANIC later this year on 4K but still not sure he isn’t just still dragging out the Abyss & True Lies for another few years before those actually release on 4K!😫🤨
@@InSearchofPhysicalMedia I have to agree. Avatar, especially the way of water, are well...pretty bad haha. I have purchased the discs but they are still sitting unopened on my desk. If they get put on the shelf they join the collection and I am not sure that they belong there. I am glad disney finally used a bd100 for something its just a shame it couldn't have been for a better movie.
Part 2: I agree the Cinderella is a stunning 🤩 4K restoration & even the screen shots from it don’t do it completely full justice until you see it yourself in person on a high end 4K TV, it’s simply a gorgeous looking 4K💿!👀

@@MINONIVEK1 Yah, I completely agree it’s a dang shame after seeing Cinderella 4K that they can doing a stunning 4K restoration yet they barely physically release anything each year! I’m planning on doing my early 4K vs Blu Ray image comparisons analysis on upcoming The Nightmare Before Christmas 4k UltraHD💿 & I’m hoping we get the Snow White 4K restoration that Disney has been working on this year soon too! Hopefully it’s the exact same team that worked on the Cinderella 4k that do both those upcoming 4K UltraHD💿releases!🤔

I also was pretty stunned about the awesome picture and audio quality of "All Quiet On The Western Front"! The 4k UHD easily wins vs the streaming quality from Netflix.

It’s a shame, watching Shout Factory turn into a monsterously *greedy* bunch of gangsters.
Vhs tapes are out doing internet now days and damage blue ray disc movies everything proven vhs tapes don't lock up at all like internet does and it doesn't matter how old they are it the playing what matters more and people like myself are fixing a break vhs movies with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's
