I’m worried for Lincoln. Consumer Reports have stopped recommending the Corsair and they’re just not selling any of their new vehicles. I don’t believe them when they say nobody wants a sedan. I don’t know anybody that wants a crossover or SUV. I hope they get back to manufacturing what is wanted like MKZ’s.
@@BillLaBrie not in the least ! Ford is econ and Lincoln is luxury ! That's like saying Buick is an entry level Cadillac ! With all due respect It's not !
I got my 2014 MKZ new and I still love it. I store it in the winter. As long as I love it I don’t care how much it is worth. It still looks like new inside and out and people are always amazed at the fact that it is over 10 years old.
The 2.0 Ecoboost in 2016 - 2019 MKZ has an extremely high failure rate due to a defective design in the block deck . I had to replace the engine in mine at 95k miles , many have failed with less than 40k miles on them .
Sadly I’ll be parting with my MKZ in the upcoming year. This is due to reliability. My warranty expires in one year and I’ve made multiple claims since I’ve owned my 2017 Reserve. It’s currently in the shop for a rear diff and compressor. Without the warranty this would’ve costed around 5k USD. I’ve had the transmission reflash and other issues I’ve had the car in for. I’ve lost trust in its reliability and it saddens me to part with the car but I need peace of mind. So I’m going with a Honda or Toyota product, leaning towards the Acura TLX.
I was shopping for sedans about 15 years ago. I looked at a few MKZ‘s. The fit and finish were nowhere near what it would be found on a real premium brand. Hard pass. They were asking premium money for what was essentially a Fusion with extra stuff on it. These are not luxury cars.
I have a 2008 mkz. 130k on the odometer. Bought it 3 years ago with 111k. It's been a great car. I had a small valve cover gasket leak that I just fixed. Did it myself for 80bucks and 6 hours of work. I've replaced front/back brake pads and put new tires all around. I'd recommend this make n model.
Brother you are absolutely 💯 when it comes to SUV's. They all look the same and are really uninspiring. My question to you is was your maintenance basically the same on your 2017 Lincoln MKZ hybrid? I want to replace my SUV with another Lincoln hybrid.
basically the mkz is cheap because it’s a fusion underneath. fusion being built an main stream midsize car. it’s just a nicer fusion with a lincoln badge that flopped because it wasn’t lux.
I mean, that can be said about the most Japanese and American luxury sedans. They make luxury sedans out of their main stream midsize car/suv. Besides styling, there wasn’t much difference in powertrain and interior styling until 2017 on the MKZ
Lincoln & Infiniti. 2 marks that I've always liked. But minus the occasional big hit model, they've both really struggled. Both make some super nice cars, but seem to get overlooked to competitors. Shame.
Finally somebody comes around to appreciate how this amazing HOT deal is slept on and hopefully will continue to be so i can snatch one up for myself ;P some of these people out here buying ford fusions dont know they could be good n well dipping into a car with the same platform and a pretty matching pricetag, and yet 10x better in all aspects The mkz is the official cheap car to make someone look made of money and yet everyones sleeping on this car
WOW! A one year old tesla for that much? Unreal! I think the Lincoln Is superior to the model 3 in terms of ride quality, comfort and luxury, but tech wise it’s definitely a step up!
@@321verykind was probably a base model from a rental company lol. Or he got some tax credits. Still a great deal tho. It's a good time to buy EV vs ICE cars. ICE are all so overpriced still. I got about 12k off my used volvo ev with tax credits and dealer discounts
@@Mr_Smackle yea, it was from Hertz. For a used car is was perfect, the inside felt new and clean. Plus it had 36k miles which isn't much.... I looked into getting an ice car but they were expensive and u get less for the value/tech. For example: a 2022 Toyota Camry with 60k miles was $24k so I went with a Tesla which had 36k miles for $23k.
i’ll always love the reactions I get from anyone that rides in my mkz, got my dream car befoe I turned 30 🎉
Congrats! Glad you and your passengers are enjoying the MKZ

Yup! It’s sad story for Lincoln these days. Lincoln is a brand that’s solely living off the Navigator.
They have no entry level car, their brand managers are very ill informed, and the younger generation knows nothing of them ! { Almost Gone }
@@davidn5334 Ford is supposed to be the entry-level Lincoln

@ It’s exactly that way, and you’ve just revealed total ignorance of the histories of two corporations and four brands.

Nice, wish I could store mine for the winter too😢
I owned a 2013 mkz brand new and absolutely loved it.
Beautiful car man
We have a Lincoln mkx awd with 220 thousand miles , best car we have ever owned
MKX is such a nice vehicle, and also under appreciated haha. Enjoy it:)
What year is it?

Yup, I’ve noted that in many of my past videos. Avoid those years of ecoboosts

Oh no! Sorry to hear! Tlx is a well built vehicle
@ thanks. I’m considering looking into an extended warranty because I really love the car.
I love the fan grill!!

Very true! But now in the used market, it’s a bargain! It is a premium vehicle, not a luxury
@ yes, a nicely maintained example is a buy a $2k
Apparently the hybrids are the most reliable of these and not the 2.0t
That is true

I am not familiar with the first gen platform but heard they were quite reliable! Enjoy it:)
Be wary of the water punp
If only it qualified for Uber Black
Hahaha that would be awesome
I want a 2017 3.0 v6 turbo. It had 400 hp & 400 Ib ft of torque. And AWD
A good car, but has oil pan leakage issues. I would get a later model
That's what I want to trade 2.0t my for!

Yes, exactly the same, no more or less when it comes to maintenance. Hybrid is the way to go with the MKZ. Good luck and happy holidays:)

Very true! I’m an infinity fan, but man theyre struggling big time. They had a good run in the 2000’s tho
I would rather have a Town Car.
TBH yes……..but the fuel economy 😭
You forgot about cadillac being a direct competitor, and like consumer reports say the lowest reliable car & truck on the road in other words JUNK.
True…..

You can get better value and tech with other cars. I got a 2023 model 3 for $23k with 36k miles... vs 2019 Lincoln mkz for $24k with 28k miles.
