      Haha, I actually debated it. But decided to save some money and just practice good safety habits.

    Hey there my friend how are you doing you have a very nice looking shop there. Very well organized for your layout is extremely well. And I'm out here on a quest trying to give all my fellow Woodworkers subscription. So I wanted to let you know that I was giving you one. And thank you buddy that's a great layout you have there. Great video! I have been watching lots of shop tour videos to get ideas for my own layout. I like how your clamp wrack uses the dead space behind the jointer. I am also finding that watching shop tour videos helps me find smaller channels (

    Hi Taylor and greeting from an Australian woodworker.
    Just found your channel and going through your videos and loving them.
    Garage workshops are incredible and yours is set up really well.
    I have a bit more space but still get great ideas on setup from smaller shops so thanks again.
    Have a great week.

      Hey James, sorry for the late response. Thanks for watching! Now I can tell people I know an Aussie woodworker. I'm glad I could help spark some ideas.

    Nice shop! Looks like the dust collection bag is almost full......shouldn’t the dust be going into the separator? Thanks for tour!

    • @SaltCityWorkshop
      @SaltCityWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the separator was full as well. I'm lazy and don't change it when I should.

    Fellow SLC'er here. Nice setup, my 1 car garage shop is not even close to being done but we have very similar preferences it looks like. Subscribed! What lights did you get for your ceiling? (PS, your link to the outfeed table goes to the flip top plans )

    • @SaltCityWorkshop

      Awesome! Utah is amazing. Here is a link to the lights I have in the garage. amzn.to/3RLznNj They work well and are pretty inexpensive. thanks for the Sub!

    I’m with you on keeping Ryobi. Started with them and see no reason to change. Can anyone tell the difference if you drill a hole or drive a screw with Ryobi or Dewalt or Festool?

    • @SaltCityWorkshop
      @SaltCityWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you can tell a difference slightly, but the real difference comes in longevity. I have noticed on those jobs that I use my drill gun or Ryobi tool for an extended period of time, it can overheat and even start smoking. But those jobs are very few and far between. until I need to use them for 8 hours a day (which will likely never happen) Ryobi works great for me.

    Great use of the space. Liking the overhead storage. What mechanism are you using to lift the bench grinder?

    • @SaltCityWorkshop
      @SaltCityWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The mechanisim is actually meant for a mixer in your kitchen. Here is a link to the one I purchased on amazon: amzn.to/34bwfaI

    Thanks for the video. What light strips do you use? Color temp? Do you have an Amazon link?

    • @SaltCityWorkshop
      @SaltCityWorkshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are the best shop lights I've ever purchased. Highly reccomend them. Here is a link to them on AMAZON: amzn.to/3xSmqK3

    Don’t waste your time with a floor sweep. I put mine in and I never use it. I used it for the first couple weeks now I forget about it.

    • @SaltCityWorkshop
      @SaltCityWorkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the advice! Yeah that’s why i haven’t put it in yet because I just don’t see how it will really help the shop. Thanks again.

      @@SaltCityWorkshop I didn’t expect you to reply. Haha. Yeah just some advice from someone who already put in the time, effort and money to have a obstruction down my wall. Haha.
