Only people who don’t understand the deep incredible talent she posses and earn a title of the best pianist for decades. Love her I call her my Steinway queen.
Always Fantastic Ms Yuja Wang and unfortunately the envy and jealousy of some people just doesn’t stop… Ms Wang has given us incredible virtuoso level art for years. We,the people, don’t need toxic comments. Remember the ‘Community Guidelines ‘
Those that love great music know that Yuja Wang is a wonderful and unique pianist. God bless her always in her life. She is the best pianist for me. All my love and gratitude for her.
I have loved this piece since I was a child, and it is a treat to hear the inimitable Yuja Wang play this version. She gives the piece a unique spirit. 🤩🥰❤️
So good - the music and performance speaks for itself. Amazing - that cross over descending run at the beginning?!?! Yo the execution of that just looked cool
It's not the clothes that attract people to her performances. In fact, I would attend her performances and watch her videos even if she wore no clothes at all.
some of the audiences are constantly checking their cellphones, were there anything that need to be prioritized over such beautiful performance? so disrespectful
La ciencia y la técnica tendrían que avanzar para que el sistema de actualización de kas páginas se electrónica sin asistencia humana. Y tener al instante la partitura del músico en este caso la PIANISTA.
this is Cziffra's transcription of the "blue danube", but... Yuja is not able to play it like Cziffra it played, it is not bad, but is not good either...
I partially agree with you. I certainly do not think this is as good as the Cziffra version that I heard. I just reran a video of that version a few minutes ago and it is much better. But I cannot agree that it is not "good." I suppose it depends on the definition of "good." I would call her version "very good" and Cziffra's rendition beyond the usual standard of excellence. Also, supposedly, he improvised it. I don't know if that means he did it totally on the fly or whether this was something he was "fooling around" with for a while and then decided to play it in a concert. But I would call her rendition at least "good." It's not exactly the same as his. She shortened it and the ending is quite a bit different.
Another horrible sounding pirate cell phone recording. You can hear for yourself how Cziffra played it-it’s on TH-cam. The trick to playing this, as you can hear on the Cziffra recording, is to focus on the beautiful waltz melodies while simultaneously making the extraordinarily difficult filigree passages sound effortless. Yuja Wang’s performance here sounds labored-more like an exercise than an affectionate tribute to this most famous of all waltzes. Listen to this DG promo of her playing an excerpt from the Strauss/Cziffra “Tristch-Trastch-Polka.” She knows the style: th-cam.com/video/fMehWUsBRLY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=CIbJrXNbpRQcbjaI 😎🎹
I had to purge my ears after this by listening to Cziffra's own recording, which is wonderful, and to the original orchestral version, as conducted by Herbert von Karajan with the Vienna Philharmonic in 1987 at the New Year's Concert. Here are links to both: Cziffra: th-cam.com/video/eYwO9WyV2Tw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FOP4wDNm8W003Fp0 von Karajan: th-cam.com/video/H771CEdwjO4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=hXIbqU_-Vyc-LkBE 😎🎹
I think your ears are still stuffed with wax. A really intense listening to this through the audio fog of the cell phone finds little wrong, even compared with your better-recorded hero Cziffra. And, an encore piece composed as a virtuoso one based on an original composition, it needs no comparison with it; not the point Marshall. She knows the style and has it; poor to judge her harshly for this pirated one... @@MarshallArtz007
Again, you make no sense; your prejudice against her is obvious and taints any intelligent opinion you may think you have. Being a troll of hers are any default statements you post.@@labienus9968
Having great talent and near immeasurable ability is one thing but exuberance in the extreme can kill a beautiful piece of music especially in the beginning of the piece. YW would have been better off doing the same thing at a much lower volume and subtly raising it as she progressed. The runs need to sit behind the well-known melody with a restrained crescendonic approach and then blossom into a festoon of delivery with her own improvisation AdLib’. Mikhail Pletnev has a more contemplative and slightly traditional yet vivacious approach.
It’s a fun encore, and an homage to a great virtuoso of the past, plus there are lots of beautiful moments amongst the swirls of notes that she conjures. After the last Beethoven sonata, Chopin 4 ballade, late Scriabin and Messiaen Vignt regards surely some fun is allowed…
You either deaf, stupid or all of it. People they criticize her don’t know much about playing different music, technique, yuja is the queen of pianos. Yes in every piece she like to show her skills/ nobody can match/ only jealous and deaf will post bad comments, Yuja is the best.
MUCH-ADO-ABOUT NOTHING!!! Excellent precision as to be expected from Wang, but the show-off piece has very little artistic value. Hours of work but little memorable merit.
It is very bad... you are all blinded by her mechanical technique but trust me this is very bad... it is to me DISGUSTING. Would you mind listening to the original STRAUSS and then to Cziffra playing Strauss his transcription, yes he wrote the transcription that miss Wang TRIES to play.

Sadly, many trolls do not...
Miss wang has given us mediocrity, that's all. WOuld you mind listening to Cziffra WHO WROTE IT?
Yuja having fun and teasing us with her dancing around with Strauss - fantastic and charismatic

Only a star could get away with this. She is not just the finest pianist of the age but like Mohammed Ali she is entitled to show off sometime.

Again LaMaestra delights and amazes us with her sublime talent. We are privileged to see and hear her ,Thank you Yuja
no, she ruined it
The Queen of Piano ❤❤❤
This is the most beautiful and elegantly dressed Yujia I’ve ever seen!!😊
naked would have been much better, then I would not focus on her horrible interpretation
潺潺的流水,寂静的森林,蓝蓝的天空,清风拂过。钢琴演奏蓝色的多瑙河,别有一番风味。好美!
Just think...memorizing every individual note, and stylizing them in this performance. And this being only Part of a concert ( third encore)!
stylizing? hmmmm

it's sad to see people in the audience just holding up their phones the entire fucking time and can't even enjoy the music right there in person
enjoy what music? It's just mechanically played nonsense. Yes I can know...
PS Great view of her technique

A very refreshing interpretation Ms Yuja Wang, 👍👏🏼👏🏼🎶🎼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Cziffra "On the Beautiful Blue Danube" 那时候我也在上海,不晓得有这个音乐会,真想代替这些举着手机不会欣赏音乐的家伙
Yuja Liberace.
Who made millions; good for Yuja!
Silly comment.

Liberace has much more passion and understanding of how to play a waltz :-)
simple great !!
this is a Piano machine Mr Chen
You must be deaf 😂
Not a fan of the composition, but student~fans love the Artistry, I’d bet
You bet!
Nonostante yuja la trascrizione per piano non risulta gradevole.
Mi piace vedere la signora Wang in un elegante abito lungo
I prefer her naked
ate que enfim com roupa decente
She can wear that she wants.

This is just so over the top. The Blue Danube on Acid. I prefer Pletnev's Strauss/Schulz-Evler transcription...
Without question, and I really like Yuja’s work
nope it is bad
some of the audiences are constantly checking their cellphones, were there anything that need to be prioritized over such beautiful performance? so disrespectful
Maybe they are recording ....but you are right!!
yes because it is so bad

I would not presume to lecture Lang on her interpretation, but I will say that she took this cloying, overdone piece and made it fresh for me.
I’m afraid you’re asking for the impossible.😅
