That’s interesting, why not just have 3 flexible ads in 1 ad set (all different creative or hook) with 2 headline & 2 primary text, isn’t that still 322, I just don’t fully understand why we do 6 ads in the ad set, seems more complicating when you could just do 3 flexible ads since you actually still get breakdown on headline/primary this way
Yes, i'm also wondering about this too! Nick, any idea bout this?🤩
I wanna know abt this too nick
I know right, nick is it ok to use this instead?
It’s because when you look at the breakdown it does not show you the image that is converting best. It does show txt and headline though. So if you have three variations you won’t know which one is actually working
Flexible is just so much better, yes it doesn't show which ad worked, but it also does!!! Just check the post ID of it with the engagement stats, and voila thats the one getting majority of spend. I mean you could do whats on the video, but it will take longer to find a winner.
I just have each adset with its own flexible, and now slowly going for 1 Adset and adding flexibles in it with the winners, if it works leave it if not turn off the ad, so all the learning is happening on one adset level. Nick what do you think?
So, turn adset on ➡️ run it for a week ➡️ turn off all non-performing ad variables ➡️ run it for a couple more days ➡️ check how adsets performed against each other ➡️ turn off adsets that do not inprove our NC-CPA ➡️ Start testing again... right?
Correct
@@NickTheriot and for scaling only push 20% no more or
Thanks you! At the end you talked about turning off ads, I remember you talking about previously that you only turn off ar adset level not ad level. Does that change with this setup and you turn off bad performing ads within the adset?
I would still do adset
Bro many people talk about doing research and problem solving, but I don't think there is a lot of research involved in apparel niches like casual wear stuff, or maybe not as much as products like protein shakes or coffees etc, right?
Research comes down to better understanding trends amongst your customer and interests, to better align your brand with them
Bro do stock footages work well for Ecom brands if custom videography is out of scope
Depends on what you need to showcase someone to create belief your product satisfies their desire
Thanks for this Nick! 2 questions
1. How often do you test new primary text and headline? Do you do that for every new launched adset?
2. With this new method you create both the new primary text and headline in a new ad. How do you know if it's the primary text or headline is doing better/worse?
1. I do one new and existing winner with every test
2. I don't
Why don't you add 2 headline and 2 primary texts in the one ad?
You can nothing wrong with that
Hi nick awesome video as always 🔥🔥 Im just curious about the specific reason behind 3-2-2 setup, why not do more creative or headlines?
Too much pressure on system at once
Exactly what i was looking for , Thanks Nick!
Welcome!
Bro with your prominent presence and personla branding, how much will be your agency worth?
🤔🤔😍😍
Multiple 7 figures+
Thank you Nick. do i need new facebook pixel when testing new product (new market)?
No, just new account
@@NickTheriot why new account, Nick?
This is great. Two questions - a lot of competitors seem to have over 100 active creatives at a time and are testing 10-20 per week in the ad library.
When we launch too many new tests, it seems to hurt the performance of our winning ad sets. What kind of structure would you recommend for a brand who wants to go heavy on creative testing in order to scale?
Nothing different than my flexible, dct, or route i show in the video. The only difference is daily spend, those people are prob spending $10k+ daily
Nice, great update!
Thanks!
Could you clarify something for me?
1. With DCT we have 1 campaign with 1 adset and multiple DCT ads. With the new method are we looking at adding adsets (with either 6 ads or 3 flexible ads) and having multiple adsets in the campaign?
2. Do we still pause adsets, not ads?
1. Adding adsets yes
2. yes
Hey Nick I have a store in jewelry niche, If I want to promote new jewelry, I need to create a new campaign for every jewelry (every product) or just a new dct adset?
Just a new adset
Hey Nick, how about running 3 flexible ads instead of 6 ads? The winning and new primary text will both be in 1 flexible ad
Nothing wrong with that, still follows best practices
Hi Nick, is it correct if I test creative like this?
1. Creating a separate adset for one concept, make 3 single image or video format ads with 1-2-2 (technically can be considered as 3-2-2 in total right?).
2. If I found a winning ad, what should I do to those 2 other variations within that winning adset? (If 2 of them get terrible CPA, and another one gets good CPA, which is the winning ad.)
1. Correct
2. Depends on spend, turn them off
How often do you find primary text actually makes a difference in performance? I’ve never seen it make a significant difference so I completely stopped testing it. Bought your ebook btw and it’s great
Or course it will. It is part of your messaging and some people read it.
I change mine at every concept
Yeah i see little impact, that is why we focus all attention on creative
Hi Nick,
I saw some people create the Campaign structure to follow Awareness, Retargeting, and the coupon is the final step for the 3-funnel approach. I saw a lot of your videos but it seems like you only use 1 Campaign BOARD for all 3 funnel?
Can you share your opinion of that structure?
I used to do that and moved to 1 campaign as I get better results
Thank you so much. Your chanel really quality, hope you keep going that well.
Nice, hopefully they will update the flexible ad soon to show the creative used. For a budget of 100$ daily, how much adsets would you run at a time? I currently have 6 because I want to test as much as I can but been thinking maybe less is better with a smaller budget
I would launch no more than 3 at a time per week and i would have as many on as winners
Hey Nick, regarding what you said at the end of the video, testing new creative against new copy to give it another chance, are you making tweaks to the existing copy or completely changing the positioning?
Depends on what i'm testing
Hi Nick, Thanks for the great content, I know you always do broad targeting but what if the campaign was what'sapp messaging should I add interests bec there will not be pixel optimizing or what should I do could you tell me your thoughts?
I would still do broad
@@NickTheriot Thanks' Nick really appreciate it
I just created an ad following your video, but it looks optimized when I publish it as a post on my Fanpage and then create an ad from that post.
The format doesn't seem as optimized as when we create an ad and upload image, do you think so ?
I just create ads in the ads manager and upload
If you're dealing with a lower spend account (sub 100/day) would you run the test for longer or just have less variables (e.g. 4 instead of 6)?
I would run for 7 days
When adding new ads to an ad set that already contains existing ads, will the existing ads continue to receive a larger portion of the budget due to their performance history? If so, what is the best way to upload new ads?
That's a myth, new ads equally have potential to beat
hi Nick, i'm not sure if i miss it but is this campaign CBO
Yes
hey nick, i feel like marketing wise im doing the right things. how do i know when my product is problematic and should be changed?
When you've done everything you can to make it succeed and there is no upwards trends in performance
Are you worried about auction overlap when you keep making broad targeting ad sets 001, 002, etc
No, because it's a cbo and fb has the freedom to spend between
If your client asks you to day part (9AM-5PM) - Are you simply using the same strategy but turning on and off?
I would prob not listen to my client, you're the expert. You tell them if they need to day part or not. With that being said, yes same strategy and I would set rules to turn off and on
Hey Nick, I have a fashion brand that focuses only on women clothing. I have seen some videos of you saying that you should always keep running the ad that spends the most money. I did what you did in this particular Video right here, I had 2 creatives that were spending a shit ton of money but the cpr was bad, in the middle pack I had a good cpr ad. Now I turned off the ads that were spending a lot and let the middle one run. This led to me increasing my roas 2x.
Was this just lucky ?
A question related to the video, I always make a campaign and test on every adset different creatives but with the same template on each adset, for example adset 1 uses template buy 2 get one free, adset 2 callout with picture etc. etc.
Is this correct? Or should I use a different campaign for every creative?
Another problem that was kinda strange, when I started scaling another successful ad that I had, my cpr just went up, but the margins decreased due to higher ad spends.
Is there a reason for this?
Nice! Just depends on how performance on all ads are looking.
Depends on what you're testing for. I like to do mostly fresh new content for clothing brands.
That ad doesn't resonate with enough people
@@NickTheriot thank you very much for your answer
What do you mean by background? The body text or literally the black background?
The black background
How much do you spend on testing to see if a product is worth it or you should give up on it?
whatever you can spend daily for 30 days without any success
do you recommend two seprate campaign for gymwear for men and women or both into same campaign with different ad sets? should gender targeting be set or should it be left at broad.
Yes I would do one specific for women and the other for men
Hey nick can i use the same hook my competitor is using ( seen a winning ad of competitor ) want to target same angle of audience ( i have to test 3 hooks ) can i use 1 hook of him and other 2 related to that hook of mine in test or don't copy competitor hook
Nothing wrong with that
Did you do 20% daily to scale? What budget did you start off with?
Yes i do 20% daily depending on performance
Hey ,
I've been working on my copywriting skills and created a few samples for you. Feel free to use them if you find them helpful.
Could you please let me know where I can share them with you? I understand that sharing them in TH-cam comments may not be ideal.
Not interested
Nick Theriot, do you wanna collab?
no
Why not just test the full 12 variations?
I don't feel like spending the time creating 6 more. If i want to do the 12, i'll do dct or flexible
@@NickTheriot fair enough. Manual testing like this is old school! I love it. :)
what if i made 9 ad creatives instead of 6?
I wouldn't
@@NickTheriot oh cause i was doing it based on your course Nick Theriot - Facebook Ads That Scale
@@NickTheriot and btw does your strategy applies to high ticket products as well?
Taking DCT away and having this method is definitely a step back for the ads manager.
