Take a screw driver and jump the two large posts on the solenoid ( located by the battery) or to locate it just follow the positive battery cable to the end and that's the solenoid jump across the 2 large posts, if it spins over then the solenoid is bad, if not the you need a new starter. Mine sounded exactly like yours. I replaced the solenoid and it worked however the starter doesn't spin it over very good so I have been using that way until this weekend. I shut it down warm and it wouldn't start just a lite clicking sound, the starter was dragging so it took out the new solenoid. Now I'm replacing the starter along with another new solenoid. Hoped this helps
Mine did the same, come to find out it was the solenoid, I could cross the terminals on the solenoid and it would start, I replaced the solenoid kept the old one for emergency
Just had this on an Outlander 450. My multimeter was getting inconsistent pulses at the starter. Put 12v to the starter and it spins hard. Customer said he was using atv to jump start lawnmower. Forums said it is common to burn solenoid doing that.
Usually start with at the simplist things first check your battery terminals and cables make sure tight check battery voltage then solenoid sometimes tapping it with a screwdriver or jumping it over then if no start check starter
There are different things it could be 1:you need to check the spark plugs to see if there sparking with a tester 2:check your pressure 3:the starter could be messed up
The connection was loose on mine and wasn't possible to tighten enough to prevent the cables from moving .. basically hand tight cables but absolutely cranked post screws. You need to put a stainless or copper washer or two on the battery post to be able to tighten enough. A little anti-seize wouldn't hurt as well.

Try pecking on the starter if it cranks after that I would put a new starter on it because it will leave you stranded if it goes completely out

I was going to say the same thing

How do you cross the terminals on solenoid to start it? I need to try this to see if i can get mine to run.
@@jdmsashimi4183 use a small flathead screw driver and cross the terminals with the key in the on position
Sounds like the Solenoid to your starter is bad???

Drop it off at your local Pep Boys.
Where is the solenoid located cause I have the same problem and can’t find it
Put some washers on your battery connection. You can't tighten them enough to make a solid connection
I had similar issue and the bolt the held start backed out and starter lost contact with engine. So basically wasn’t ground properly.
Op, did you get this fixed? If so what did you do. Mine is doing the same thing
Same thing happened we change the battery in the ignition coils
please tell me how u fix that problem , mine do same
New solenoid
I'd say change your starters also while your at it check you battery
U need a new started same thing happened to mine
The battery might just be low or not a good connection could be the starter or the starter cylenoid
My sportsman 700 has the problem, when I hooked up jumper cables it started right up, so I thin I just need a new battery
There are different things it could be 1:you need to check the spark plugs to see if there sparking with a tester 2:check your pressure 3:the starter could be messed up
Could need a new starter or could just be bad battery connection

Your starter solenoid is stuck you need a new one or a whole new starter that click is the gear not wanting to kick out
Sounds like the starter is going bad or one of the wires going to the starter solenoid is lose
Check your battery
Mine happened like that, it was a bad ground on the battery
Mine is doing the same damn thing.. I'm about to replace starter and add extra battery. A bigger battery
Sounds like either a bad battery connection or a starter solenoid
Do you get it fix
What si the problem ?????
The same thing happened with my cousins it’s most likely the battery
My can am side by side won't start too
Bypass the starter silenoid first with a screwdriver
try to start it when it is still buzzing
It could be battery or you need a new starter
Locked starter or starter selenium not engaging the starter
Try tapping the starter slightly while hitting the buttom
Had the same selenium issue...the dealer asked if its blueberry or chocolate flavor, the one with red and yellow polka dots😅
@@11ongas33 solenoid* auto correct.
Battery
Battery is dead!
I think is the tire pressure
Check yo starter g
When my clutch stuck that happened.
Have you figured yours out? Same thing happened with mine
please tell me how u fix the problem
@@juancarlosyanezmartinez7027 I ended up pulling my clutch and buying an STM clutch to replace it.
Spark plugs
Starter
Battery
It could be a spark plug
Sell it and buy a newer one lol
Jump in your seat. Sounds silly but same thing happens on my 21 x3
