Stunning knit pieces! Wowza😍 thank you for sharing your experience knitting the patterns, as a new knitter I am learning & being inspired by watching your videos.
I'm loving the Yell updates. I feel like you're knitting it for me since I don't have the time. It's such a beautiful pattern and you're doing a really great job. Loving the perspective and mods.
Vanissia that Pink Velvet looks SPECTACULAR! what a wonderful knit!! I have been eyeing that pattern for so long as I had a special skein of suri and was unsure, but you just gave it such a modern twist with your colour choice that I feel better about maybe giving it a go! Thanks for another episode!
@@thewoollyworker i find selfies hard although im trying to get better. Portrait mode on my phone has helped. Nice that your fella helps. Mine took my profile picture and that is the best finished object photo i have.
I thought you had made a lot of progress and found all the content quite interesting! Maybe it's because I am a slow knitter, but I never expect so much progress with presenters who do us the favor of podcasting often. I have often thought of making the Anker's sweater and knew if I did, I would use twisted rib because of my sloppy ribbing. Your beautiful sweater has convinced me to try!
thank you and i guess yeah, with a bit of perspective, that is still enough to talk about aha ! i do prefer to podcast every other week, otherwise i get too out of practice/nervous aha !
Your Pink Velvet - Andrea Mowry is stunning! Thanks for mentioning interchanging German short rows for wrap & turn. I didn't realize that adjustments are supposed to be made--and that maybe that can be ignored.
The colours in your Yell cardigan are just beautiful! You are making great progress. I would suggest that it is more important to make the increases you need for a well fitting sleeve than to worry about continuity on the underside of the arm. You have done such a good job with the needle change on the magic loop…I am doing colorwork socks right now with magic loop and mine is much messier…I’m practicing!
I’m currently knitting on a tank top in line while watching and i agree it’s a more pleasant knitting experience than drops belle. It feels a bit softer to me.
The Zakami yarns are beautiful! I always get sucked into buying hand dyed but then am quite precious about knitting them up, need to resolve to just do it. I think also my style is quite "basic" and minimal, but I am drawn to INSANE hand dyed 🤣 would love to see that super fluffy skein knitted up in a cumulus, I bought the pattern years ago and still haven't done it!
Thanks very much for your comment regarding short rows. I like to always replace wrap & turn with German short rows, but am always bothered with this 1 stitch difference and keep forgetting about it. Good to know you ignored it completely without any issue. And thanks for the great video, I always enjoy this moment with you! 😊
I have also used Qing Fibre Yak Single for a sweater (and for a frogged shawl), and I agree that the Yak fibre does get ”released” quite a bit. I was quite worried, but what I have found upon wearing the sweater is that this ”calms down” as the garment gets used. In my experience I absolutely had a lot of fluff to remove the first 2-3 times wearing the sweater - but after that it’s been ok. Not quite sure what the science is at play here, but have read comments that this is very common behaviour for Yak. 😊
Yayyyy pink velvet. I knit that last year and it's one of my most worn pieces. The colorwork is so gorgeous. It reminds me of peacock Feathers. I also do the same thing you do with subbing German short rows. Like.... there's no way that 1 stitch is going to make enough difference for me to go through the headache.
I think the pink will look great in the cumulous blouse. I knit the cumulous with one stand of brushed suri alpaca/ merino wool/cotton (the Fibre Co. Cirro). I got gauge and it looks great!
I really like your choice of projects, and your style of telling about it. Lovely! Thank you. So inspiring. I am in the middle of the Anker TEE myself. Considering the pink velvet. The Yell is not within my reach.
When I have a pattern that requires an alternating row pattern, I use lightbulb markers and at the BOR I put one marker hanging off the other. So on one row, I will have two markers together, then when I am going to start the other alternate row I will take one marker off and it will hang. So at any point on the row I can look back at my BOR and see if there is one or two markers there..
Hi Vanissia. Is anyone else having trouble with the volume of your podcast? I have my volume at maximum and still can't hear you real well. Thanks for checking it!
I would recommend blocking that green tank top to see what happens. I knit a bottom up shirt with a folded hem which kept doing exactly this - it kept rolling up. I thought meh, it'll block out... Right? Well, it didn't, it was just as bad and it was driving me crazy and I had to redo it later. 😂I cut off the bottom of the finished shirt months later and redid the folded hem.
I am so inspired to knit the pink velvet and I have some suri that I think I could use. I was wondering if you are holding the suri double or single? I checked your Ravelry page first but I don't see it mentioned.
I had the Melides top half knit, then ripped it out. I've knit so many tanks successfully that it's interesting that the one pattern with exhaustive math to supposedly enable a good fit did not work out AT ALL. I wish I had known before I bought the pattern that there was so much crazy math. I probably will pick a different tank pattern. I hope yours goes well!
oh no ! i see what you mean, sometimes patterns are overly wordy for no reason (looking at you fish-lips-kiss-heel ... ). Next on my list is the mini mock neck !
I really enjoy making the Ankers Summer Shirt. I tried the Ankers Tee also and didn’t like the fit of it at all. The neck rides up in the front and the yoke is too deep and unflattering on me. I looked at the pictures on the pattern again in Ravelry and noticed that the designer seemed to have the same issues. I will be sticking to the Ankers Summer Shirt if I make it again in the future. The Ankers Tee was definitely a waste for me ($ of pattern, yarn, and my time).
Stunning knit pieces! Wowza😍 thank you for sharing your experience knitting the patterns, as a new knitter I am learning & being inspired by watching your videos.
thank you so much for saying that !
When all of the comments are talking about different projects and plans you can see you did a good job at inspiring everyone 😊✨
aww yes, it's nice to see!

Oh thank you!

thank you Rebeca !! Hope you do !
Your anker looks like a shop bought garment in the best possible way. You should be proud xx
Oh thank you!
You’re pink velvet looks amazing! Completely inspiring me to make my own 😍 And to me that green is the colour of matcha!
thank you Michaela !!
Love that yoke
thanks!
The pink velvet sweater will be gorgeous. Great job on anker tee.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful yoke! Love your colour choices.
thank you so much :)
Thanks Vanissia. Beautiful magnus opus.....just stunning. So so pretty. I'd like to see the light pink in Petite knits ha. go well 🥰
Thank you! Will do!
Your Ankers top is the nicest I have seen! And... I vote for the soft pink cumulus blouse.
thanks!
I’m loving the photo of you in your anker tee. The light has caught your face beautifully. I always struggle to take good finished object photos.
Thank you so much! Credit to the boyfriend for sure! I hate all the photos i take of myself lol

Your Anker suits your body well, very flattering, stunning with the twisted rib
aw thank you ! :D
To avoid a mark form magic loop you can move the place where you fold the needle cable , it does not have to always be at the same place
very true ! will keep in mind !
Your Pink Velvet - Andrea Mowry is stunning!

glad to help!

ehhh, i am the exact same !! like those skeins are SO special, but how to use them??

aha yess, glad it's not just me worrying about those details aha !

very good to know, thanks for telling me !

I really enjoyed the zecami parade!
ahhh good to hear ! hope the fit is ok, circular yokes are such hit or miss ! and glad the substitution of short rows works for you too aha !!
The Zagame ideas will work well. Anker is great. Might do the same.
have fun!

that was another yarn i considered for that ! much softer than mohair isnt it

thank you !! really nice to hear it :D Good luck with the pink velvet if you make it !

oh no! a few people said that too, i dont know what happened !

oooh not what i want to hear, but will follow the advice !

intersting ! Yeah i think this one works better cause hte neckline is wider, so no choking !
I will love to listen tve coments or review on the anker top, but the volume was to low or you was recording without a mike.
Sorry about that! I have a mic, but I don't know what happens, hope I can fix it for the next !
