steering wheel wasn't in bad shape a little filler and paint, horn ring and center cap turned out alright for now could use a re chrome but fine for now ,instrument panel needs to be wired up
I installed all of the wiring, temp gauge, and VOLTMETER,plus the dash and turn sig. indicator bulbs, before installing cluster into the dash. I used an A.A.W. kit,for the '55-'59 Chevy trucks. I went with a 4-way flasher, and after-market turn signal. Techs are extremely informed, and very helpful. You pay a little more for their harness, but I'm extremely satisfied! Nice job!!
This truck project is awesome! Watched the entire series from the beginning and knew I needed to subscribe after about two segments. Great videos. Perfect amount of detail without being boring. Fantastic for those of us that are learning. Can't wait to see you get this thing on the road.
Coming along nicely! My 64 chevrolet had the tach on one side and a clock I believe on the other side. when ever I would come across the vacuum gauge cluster it was usually in a grain truck. Kinda nice having the full Monty on the gauges!
Yes I really like the set up been looking for one for a while some also came with the air gauge also I'll find a line on the back of the carb for the vac line
these videos charged me up !!!! went out last night and came home with a 65 c10 step side, winter project going to set the body on a 70ish 3/4 ton 4x4 frame,,, I CAN DO THIS !!! thank you for taking the time sharing your work !!! Lov it....
Thanks man This instrument panel actually came in these truck one of the two I guess it was an option to have the tack and vac on each side take it easy
My old mama would tell ya that for a nickle more you could've got a red truck. I tell ya though, it's looking good. Tilt wheel and all man, you'll have name it cowboy cadillac. I like the white top, seen it before and that,s nice. I can't believe how intense you are but with the money and your putting out it will be well worth it. Great job man.
That's just coming out awesome, I have guys doing the body restore on mine but then I'll be doing the interior and installation of engine components and getting it running,
Hello, Sir . Question how were you able to use original steering wheel with I-didit column? I didn't think the original would fit onto those? What exactly did you have to do if you don't mind me asking?
When I ordered the Ididit column I ask for the 1963 Chevy c-10 column they told me it would work with my original steering wheel, I did have to shave a little plastic down from the center horn
What kind of paint is that? Does it come in a chrome color? I need a mid 1950's steering wheel (Buick or Chevy or something similar) for a show I'm doing unfortunately most of the restored wheels are way out of my budget. I thought I'd try to restore one myself. Any suggestions? Very grateful for any advice.
Gibson63 thank you. Great work by the way. Wish I could afford one of those mid 1950's beauties. A Chevy convertible ... baby blue with big fat white wall tires. Yes...thatwas would make my day.
Very very nice work. Looks fantastic!!! As mentioned below, shows great attention to detail. I would be EXTREMELY proud. I guess it's OK to ask since everyone always asks me; do you have a "target" end date??? I'm curious to see how your answer compares with mine. ;o)
Don't realy have a time date at all, I frame houses for a living and sometimes I get realy tied up but get slow in the winter I'm just going with the flow hopefully by the end of spring I'll have the bed on
gibson63 Cool!! I'm a retired electrician who has wired many houses in the past. Finished my electrical career in a pharma. environment. Very satisfying. I usually answer that question (end date) by saying " don't know and it stops being "fun" if you rush".
Hey man! I love your videos on your 63 Chevy truck! It is awesome how you include every step you are taking to get the truck built back up! As I was watching your videos I thought hey our vids are really similar and I believe our love for old classic cars is to! I was wondering if you would be willing to do some sort of collaboration between our two channels, that way my subscribers an find you and yours can find mine! Let me know if you would want to talk a little more in depth about it. Thanks! Ben
Really like the restored instrument cluster. Can you give me a name, number, website, or email where you got it? Have watched all your videos. The truck looks great.
I'm on my own c10 rebuild. Enjoy watching the speed in which you work.

I went with Early classic 63-70 front disc brake conversion kit [Raybestos] 2.5 drop spindles
