Straight Piping my Cammed C4 Corvette!

The bigger component in the middle of the stock exhaust is the resonator, which does the majority of the muffling, not a third catalytic converter

I’ve seen forums saying it’s cats and saying it’s resonators, when I look up after market exhaust system I find they have a “high flow cat” option for that piece so that’s why I think it may be a cat but I could be wrong. Thanks for the info!

On the L98 its a cat in the middle, i cleared it the first week of owning my 1989

@@angellara9790 still stock motor because it’s my daily. Just cosmetic stuff like srt front bumper and I have a hellcat spoiler with a wickerbill on it now.

i just bought my dads c4 he passed in august and my uncle had it and spun a bearing and blew the transmission lol I dropped it off yesterday the motor and tranny are being pulled and im rebuilding the motor and transmission i would really like to know what you have done to the motor I'm in love with the sound it now has.

Did you throw any codes after removing the cats from the system? I'm thinking of doing the same setup you have.

No codes or anything! Just something to note, without the cats you get more of a “gas” smell from the exhaust
