I wish Nike would make a run of Airships for those of us who want something close to a Jordan.
People that complained about the toebox, all they had to do was take a damp rag and iron the toebox down a little to get the desired shape.

Great review! I have the Bred NB 85 and compared to my Retros and I can say one minor correction to your sizing comments are that the length of the outsole of the New Beginnings Jordan 1 85 is the same as Retros. But the width of the heel and midfoot is definitely narrower when compared sole to sole. So its width is 85 spec but length is Retro spec
That classic Jumpman booklet attached to the kicks caused me to impulse buy the Varsity Reds, overpaid a little but just glad to get a taste of the flavour
I have the Varsity Red 85 and I NEED this pack. Hopefully they’ll come out with more 85s. Have you heard any word about that? I can easily swear off all other Jordan 1 retros in lieu of 85 retros because the quality and feel on feet is bar none

Why do most of the new beginnings packs I see for sale on ebay have an odd looking toe box with a MUCH thicker mudguard than yours?
I just got the pack today but noticed my insole doesn't have the numbers stamped on the bottom of them should I be worried?
It might be because mine are pre-release. I don't know if there are any reps of these packs.

I'm not knocking, I'm probably the biggest Jordan fan. At least I can say I saw the man at least 10 * and one time going into the stadium. That's more than most y'all Young Bucks can ever say and you never will be able to say. Here is a marketing trick, give already confused people more options with different colors of shoelaces and call them fancy killer waves. Yeah I did say killer because it's stupid. They should come with white and another pair of white for when they get dirty, but hey I'm original
Why do people act like it's so hard to copy something. In my world I am an artist. In the easiest form of art is the copy., so getting everything exactly in place is anything but amazing it is very average and not hard to do. That's why 5th graders in China, yes they make real Jordans in China if you didn't know.
I think Nike/Jordan proved it is quite possible with this drop. I think replicating something made that many years ago by different manufacturing standards (board lasted for instance) with different materials and not having one single panel to start with (the retros share no common pieces), is a huge undertaking. There were enough of us who spoke up long enough that they finally listened though. Will anything ever be 100% exact, no. It is nice to get it close though.
How hard is it to make a freaking name tag the same. You guys act like it's a miracle when it's simple measurements
