  • Here is the setup I use for recording podcasts with the original Irig into a cell phone through my mixer. I use the Behringer XENYX Q1202USB and also the Zoom H2n.

    Excellent video: straight to the point with great camera angle and clear sound! Thank you!

      Yes. This is the easiest video to understand I have seen on this subject. No straying from the subject whatsoever. Pleasure to watch and listen to. Very educational (for those with older equipment not wanting to or can't afford to upgrade to more modern stuff with all these features built in).

    This wasn’t exactly what I was looking for but gave me solutions to another issue. Thanks for the video

    Head phones out can be split from 1/8 stereo from the irig into two 1/4 mono L-R into a stereo channel on the board.

    curious do you turn the volume down on the phone since you are running through a channel on the board?

    I want to use my iRig for emulating a nice and good guitar sound and play along songs/videos AND record it on the phone. Problem now is input lag and I don't know if this solution would fix it.. Maybe I can play with 0 delay with (with guitar external effect/pedal) and record the emulated signal with delay..

    Hey, great video! I'm interested in setting up this way, but wasn't sure what cables you are using. The 1/4" to 1/4" instrument cable, I understand, but what are you using to plug the iRig into the board?

    • @fingersmcgins
      @fingersmcgins 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would be a 1/4" that goes into the board and the headphone jack is a 1/8" that goes into the Irig. All I had at the time was a 1/4" to RCA cord so I just used an adapter to go from the male RCA to a 1/8" jack. You could always use another 1/4" instrument cable and just use a 1/4" female to 1/8" male adapter.

    I tried this set up on my iPhone 11 with a dongle and it sadly didn’t work. Switched over to my partners Samsung with a headphone jack and it worked like a charm. Would you happen to know if it’s perhaps a setting on the iPhone 11 that’s preventing a phone call connection or maybe the dongle itself? It’s strange because if I play TH-cam through the iPhone 11 the sound comes through but yet nothing with a phone call. 🤔

    Hi sir. So everything playing from the mixer can be heard/monitor with headphones connected to it right? Which means i can play & record
    everything playing from the phone as a source to the mixer inside the phone itself right?

      I have been looking this irig thing as well but i dont know how to use it connecting to a mixer from a phone😁✌

      If you have music playing from your phone, TH-cam, Soundcloud etc.. you will hear it through the headphones from the mixer. Any sound coming from the phone ex: regular phone call or music can be heard and recorded from whatever recording device you have hooked up to the mixer.

    Do they have to be mono cables?

  • @footyonthedowns9287

    Would that still work if I was using the phone for Zoom or any Video call?

    • @fingersmcgins
      @fingersmcgins 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it would. It takes the audio signal from your phone and doesn't matter if it's a Zoom, Messenger, Skype or regular phone call.

    Where do you plug up your headphones in?

    • @fingersmcgins
      @fingersmcgins 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a headphone jack on the board but if you have multiple people, you will need to use a splitter or a separate headphone amplifier so you can accommodate more people.

      Hi Jefferson. This would be any phone that has a headphone jack. A lot of the new phones now do not have that option unfortunately.

      @@toddgeek5608 But they work with iRig even with the USB-C to 1/8" plug that comes with every phone that don't have 1/8" plug.

      @@wintabletinfo unfortunately I don't have that cable to see how that would work. I will have to put that on my list of cable to get from Princess Auto to try :)

    I see how we can hear the caller but....How does the caller hear you talk?

    • @robertmclean9770
      @robertmclean9770 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      FX out sends the signal from your board into the guitar icon jack on the irig. I have been trying to work this out for months. This guy finally explained it. Awesome.

      To answer you question better: Caller hears you speaking through the microphone that's plugged into your board.
