Very nicely explained I ended up ordering one.... Just wanted to know where to install the round cover ring wire.... On the cylinder head bolt is fine?
Many thank for nice review. I have question about possibility to set initial value for ToT. I'm asking because I have an old tachometer which isn't reliable one and I decided to replace with Runleader. So I wouldn't be happy to start once again from "zero" ToT reading.
@@kd_enterprise3404I already checked manual but frankly speaking I don't see nothing about such possibility but in the Amazon in the description there is such info 🤔
This is what I m looking for, nice video. Need your advice. My honda CRF250L is 4stroke / 1 cylinder. I have set the time and set it to 1PR2R and R3 as per the manual. I m dont understand what it is mean by Job and Svc. How do you set the job and svc? Thanks
All you are doing is entering a set number of hours for it to count and it will flash and reset when complete. I think you can set a few SRVC for different things like oil or air filter. You have to remember what u set for as. Job is just a generic title u can't modify. Just navigate to the job service area and use the same button press methods that get you into other settings, then to modify.
Sorry I don’t, was going to do at recommended interval but there are no indications they need adjustment, after talking to several people including a Yamaha Parts and Service guy everyone says it’s unlikely they will need adjusting at my current mileage of 12000km or 7500 miles…… it’s not hard to do but a pain from what I’ve seen…
@@kd_enterprise3404 my bad im in kansas city tryin got watch the chiefs and program this thing i think i got it i just wanted to be able to see the current rpm's and the current temperature on the same screen.
my tach says 1500rpm and my runleader says 4500. its a 1 cylinder engine and i have it set on 1p2r. does the number of times you wrap the wire around the spark plug coil wire affect the reading? i wrapped it probably 8 times not 4 or 5. oh and my rpm range is set to 12k
Ok I’m guessing this is not on an xt250… so it’s either a 2 stroke or a small Chinese 4 stroke bike… either way set it to 1p1r … wraps should not be a concern.. or I’m guessing wrong… what engine is it?
@@kd_enterprise3404 its a chinese 4 stroke 4 valve 250cc 1 cylinder engine. zs172fmm. i read on an amazon review it does matter how many times you wrap the wire around the spark plug cable but they said it should only make a 10% difference
Thank you, I was having trouble with the instructions but with the help of your video I was able to set the correct values for my gen 3 klr 650.
Thanks….
Thanks for this video, helped me get mine wired up

the only wire involved should be the one you wrap around the spark plug wire… I’d keep everything else away from heat and vibration…

@jamajson honestly, I'm not sure...
@jamajson I'm really not sure, have not done that.. we will have to do some searching in the manual . Appreciate the comment

Do you have a video doing a valve adjustment for your XT250?

anyway to keep the back light on during operation? If i set rpm alert to a low # would it stay lit up red?
You can set it to keep the light on when in use, but it’s hard on the battery…. I don’t have the manual with me, but it’s in there.
@@kd_enterprise3404 #15 on the instructions thanks very much!!! Got it lit up sweet tach for the price doesn't get much better than this
is it accurate, did it last, and is there a delay in the reading on the gauge from when you turn the throttle?
Yes, I actually have two, bought second one for another bike after using a yr on first, they both work fine, seem accurate and responsive.
Your question disappeared... about settings.. I'm guessing u figured out? Just wondering if youtube is OK.
@@kd_enterprise3404 yea I did. But with this gauge can it display rpm and temp on the screen at same time?
@@warrenpeas read your question, having trouble understanding…
