    While am invested and you are funny, what you are highlighting is way more important. People rarely get to see this perspective as it unfolds. Thank you.

    I‘m not black, i‘m white. But my parents had to be careful with what they did and said, back in the 90‘s to my primary school teacher. She was white too.
    But why did i have a hard time and why had my parents have to be careful? Because of my cousins, two of them (boy worse than the girl) were the towns spawns of hell. And because they were my cousins, i got put in the same bucket with them, although i never did anything, i was bullied by classmates and teachers alike…
    So this stuff doesn‘t only happen to ppl of color, but i do believe that what some/most of them have to experience can ve way worse and its not fair. Skin color doesn‘t matter when it comes to something beeing unjust.

    Trickle down happened to both of my sons and I’m not black. Neither was the teacher. And it was a Christian school. And we were not in the wrong either.

      @@SilkRainSand-pc3ph people should Treat others as they would want to be treated. Thats how I live and is why I gave the mature adult teachers the benefit of the doubt when I shouldn’t have. I paid thousands of dollars to this school yearly. And it was tied to my church. Which I no longer support or attend.

    Trickle down happens to everyone. We all have to be careful of exactly what we say and do to whom, regardless of race, because people can be awful and petty and make life difficult for others just simply because they have the power to. It's truly not a race thing. It can even be simply a financial status thing.

This literally happened to me in December and I handled that very quickly!! Nipped that behavior in the bud Not mine No you won't!!!

    As a black mother I have had these feelings and similar experiences with my daughter having a white teacher. It's a real thing. It's exhausting. It's not easy teaching my daughter to stand up for herself but struggling to advocate for her as her parent due to the dynamics you shed light on. I pray all parents and educators are able to continue conversations like these and come to peaceful solutions. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you the best overall. ❤

    The trickle down happened to my grandsons at their schools and we are white as snow my friend. It’s not about race where I live it’s about who they think are rich or poor. We aren’t poor by no means but my grandsons don’t hangout with the richest kids in their schools so they get targeted. The teachers treat them like they are garbage.

    TLDR; I love your videos and can totally relate to this! Also you are awesome and obviously a fantastic momma! 😄
    I saw the first four parts of the story in a react video and I just HAD to find out if there was an update, I just feel like I can relate to this so much.
    When my son was in elementary school he had undiagnosed ADHD and was really easily influenced by others and he ended up 'trading' his pokemon cards with his 'friends' but somehow these trades kept resulting in him not having any pokemon cards which seems a lot more like stealing than trading.
    I had a really hard time explaining to him that sometimes people just pretend to be your friend because they want your stuff or to use you.
    He's now an 8th grader and has finally found his true friends and he's super happy but man it was rough going for a while.

    Ok this randomly showed up in my feed and I don't know what the story is because I've only seen part 5.
    But. As a teacher. I do want to say that parents behavior does affect how we treat the kids. In both good and bad ways. I've had a few shrieking Karens (3 to be exact, in my 10 years, but you don't forget them). And 2 of them disposed me negatively towards their kids and made me just not want to interact, like, if I don't talk to the kid at all then mommy won't find something to scream at me about. Oh I'm not checking to see if the kid is following my class? Yeah, sorry, you've convinced me it's better if I act like you're kid is not here.
    Number 3 just made me feel so so so sorry for that poor kid.
    And then the parents that are lovely I pay more attention to their kids. I mean we try to treat them all the same but the dynamic with the parents definitely affects our relationship with the child

      I for one think that’s despicable coming from a teacher. The child can’t help what the stupid parents do.

    • @ccheyenne
      @ccheyenne 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@melissaevans4396 It's despicable to recognize that I'm human and that getting screamed at changes my behavior? I'm not doing it on purpose, but I'd be lying if I said that the parents behavior didn't make me more skittish around the kid and maybe just feel like it's not worth the effort to try to help if all I'm going to get for it is more grief. Obviously it isn't the kid's fault, but we're all weird around the kids with the difficult parents because you don't know what is going to trigger a tantrum from the family and the end result is that generally it isn't going to be positive for the kid.

    Okay, so, I commented on Charlotte Dobre's reaction video highlighting your story and I had to come over to your channel to 1. Subscribe because I think you are amazing and 2. hear more of the story. You are a great mother and handled this situation so responsibly. It's so sad that black people have to tiptoe where white people run.

    So true, minority mothers are always judged so harshly when trying to advocate for their children or else we come off as looking crazy and not frustrated and upset while advocating for our children.

  • @NatalyaCherry
    @NatalyaCherry 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Nope, I've enjoyed being led here by Charlotte and love you and your vibe, but here's where I unfollow you, because the one thing you're right about is that you don't know what it's like to be a kindergarten or any other elementary school teacher, let alone one who was sick all weekend...they absolutely do not have some time, not even to pee or remember their own name, let alone respond to voice memos or email during the school day. Nope. And there aren't enough of them these days, so nope.

      And I completely understand but I also said in the video I don’t know what’s it’s like to be a teacher. In addition part of this is comedy so I get it if it’s hard to distinguish. ❤

      I'm white. 95% of the parents I worked with are white, 70% of those parents were white trash losers who threw their kids into the daycare, not looking back, never bothered to learn my name, when I'm watching 13 kids from newborns-10 year olds- and mentally disabled diaper wearing kids, you'd think they'd give a shit. I hated them. One of their kids made art out of their shit on the walls in the bathroom and my boss told me that the parent to this kid was teaching me a lesson for not putting the wipes back in their kids back pack, when she was supposed to leave them at the daycare anyways, by never packing him with wipes again, saw that I had the flu while I was cleaning up the walls of his shit. She never wanted a conversation, I had to follow her around, because she was too afraid to talk to me, in order to tell her to pack wipes for her kid and not to be petty (told her that in a more professional way- but still had to practically chase her.) I had a Hispanic mom who was wonderful, but her husband was disrespectful, hated him, loved her. I loved this black woman, quit my job- still watch her kids- why because she was respectful, easy to work with, and we both saw each others true and best intentions. RACE was never a thing! Attitude, attitude, attitude that was the ONLY THING THAT MATTERED.
