  • This is the first time riding my new Inmotion V14 (50S Version) electric unicycle. The 86lb weight was challenging to get used to after coming from my 44lb Gotway MCM5 v2 wheel. Mounting was especially difficult, but with enough practice it started to feel much easier. Started in my apartment parking lot and then took a drive out to Alameda, CA where there is an old airbase that has been re-zoned for public use. This is where the Bay Area Intro2Speed events are held. I think I only reach around 25 mph (40 kph) on this first ride but still had a lot of fun. Thanks for watching!

I own a ton of wheels and the mcm5v2 is an amazing wheel. I still ride it to this day...along with my Lynx..contrary to what people may think, larger wheels are easier to ride.

Agreed the MCM5 is a great wheel!

Have you dialed in your settings yet? I didn't mess with mine for the first couple of days while getting the feel of the wheel so the learning curve was a bit shaky. After dialing in though (75% on both braking and acceleration, and I think three clicks softer on the suspension) everything just felt so much more natural. Congrats on the stellar upgrade!

I have played around with most of the settings except for pedal angle and things are feeling much better now. Thanks!

It's all about repetition, before you know it everything will be second nature. You're doing a great job

Thanks James, it’s definitely feeling more comfortable about 50 miles in, but still a ways to go!

@@Kev-In-Motion give it around the 200 mile mark and it'll be a world of difference.

When lifting the V14 into the car, grab the pedals, not the handles. It's far easier.😊

Coming from the lighter weight V11 & V12, I was having a hard time getting up on the V14 when I first got it. What helped me was adding +2 degrees of tilt to the pedals. I don't think the pedal height was the issue for me. I never had any trouble getting up on the V11. And it's pedals are pretty much the same height as the V14's.

Thanks for the tip. I haven’t messed around with pedal angle yet so I’ll try that out.

    Enjoyed..Thanks!. But what a place! It’s a huge area…what was it?…an old Flying boat / Seaplane base?

Glad you liked the video! I believe this area was an old naval air base. Definitely a great spot for riding!

Thank you! Sorry to hear about the 36kg euc cut off. I think the S16 is still a solid wheel, just a little harder too work on.

I'm going through the same thing as you on my v13 , I'm coming from a gotway monster 22-in no suspension so the height in the weight is the only thing you need to practice just like you

V13 is a beast of a wheel so I can imagine how much tougher that is to get the hang of. I’m definitely feeling a lot more comfortable on the v14 now with about 50 miles under my belt. Good luck!

Yesterday switched from my s18 to v14. It definitely will take some time for me to adapt, but not bad as I thought. Didn't have any problems with mounting tho. It's just the weight difference that I can feel. Got a very small crash, because of stupidity... slipped on wet sports field 😂

Ya the weight definitely takes some getting used to, gotta build up those leg muscles.

Whats the size of the wheel?

    • @Kev-In-Motion
      @Kev-In-Motion  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

The V14 has a 12” rim and is considered a ‘16-inch’ wheel but technically the tire is 18 inches in diameter.
