My family just did a road trip in Canada. From NC to Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, and Saint John. Back home through Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia and home to NC. It was an 11 day vacation and we really enjoyed Canada! So sad to hear of the loss of your dear friend. I hope your travels will be soothing.
I know the pain so well as I loss my Dad to cancer January 2021. It fucking sucks and feels just unfair, my Mum struggles on a daily basis with the loss of her Husband. I was widowed at 41 & speak to many widowed daily. What to say? I'm sorry and acknowledge it's wrong and unfair. We often hear it's meant to be, God needed them, they're better in heaven, and it makes you angry. They belong most with their kids, and if someone thinks God needed an angel, they should have volunteered their spouse, not think it's fine mine is gone. Now is shock and the world feeling foreign. Be there for her husband as it's coming up to the 1 year anniversary. Most are gone then, but when the true grief hits. It almost takes you out, and I've seen people who rushed to date again, think they're fine and 'over it" (over it never happens), be then hit and shattered as that one year milestone hits and people think it's old news then. That's when shock subsides and the realoty of grief starts which we don't see coming. 💔 Prayers of strength to her family.
I lost my Dad 4 years ago but it still feels like it was this year it will never not hurt, I just get am able to not remember as frequently. I’m so thankful that you put the truth out there. People should know that their “kind” comments hurt and are stupid. I always like when I meet someone who has lost a key family member because we both know that it’s garbage.
