- We wandered to the Diamond Hill Mine in South Carolina to dig for some gemstones & crystals and later show you how to clean them!
Footage we thought was lost forever has been recovered. This was an epic trip to the Diamond Hill Mine. The only footage not shown is when Kathleen got ants in her pants and had to strip down to get them off. Other than that it was a great trip with a lot of nice finds to include smokey quartz, milky quartz, skeletal quartz, amethyst, mica, beryl! This is a 100% unsalted mine.

When I lived in Tygh Valley, Oregon years ago, I use to drive about 1 & 1/2 hours east southeast to dig for thunder eggs. It was a pay to dig site but as I got older I can’t remember the name of the mine now 😂
That's cool. Seems there are lots of places to find gemstones and crystals all over. They arent always well known that's for sure!
Nice haul there, surprised you did not bring classifier to sift out the dirt. That place is on my bucket list of to go to places. Thanks for sharing the journey
