This thing works like a charm im kinda still lerning how to effectivly play as the zerg. I just finished the campaign and as unranked won 4 games using this startegy. Now I am at gold 3 and ty soo much for techniques like this one :)))) Your videos are really helpful and helped me sooo much, ty for very high quallity content!! Very thorough and educational video! Also appropriately succinct. You might consider giving an overview of the content or time stamps of key concept in the video - I almost left the video before you explained how Protoss can counter!
finally, the zerg are figuring out that they can use the NN, to a similar fashion as the protos have the warp prism( read zealot warpins that sometimes totally destroy zerg economy when the zerg ins out in the map attacking)
Your roach speed plus 1 build is really good. I've only been playing for a week, not too many games either and I've used that build and beat a couple dudes with mmr ~1400. Idk if that's good or not but sure feels nice to know what I'm doing even though I don't really know much else! I might try this one too, after I do enough games to get on the ladder with your roach ravager build

im new at the game i like the zerg. have played one ai game and it was pretty confusing. helpful tips for a beginner to starcraft and strategy games 2.
learn a few early game build orders and try to perfect them. economy and timings are key. For beginner zerg just get a bunch of queens to defend against early attacks and try to get a roach hydra army to defend 3-4 bases then push when you have weapon and armor upgrades level one or two. If you dont beat your opponent retreat your army and transition to lurkers and ravagers to defend against counter attacks (or more hydras and corrupter against air armies). Ravagers and lurkers need micromanagement in combat so if you arent ready for much of that just keep building roachs and hydras and zerglings and attack over and over wherever they try to expand. also scout with overlords and spread creep.
You need to fight the AI a lot to get a feel of the game. When you have that, you should watch LowKo videos of "easy Zerg build orders". Try to use those against the AI - then you're ready to fight other players, and have a chance to win.
The most obvious counter I can think of to this would be zealots with a couple other units to support them. Probably immortals, but void rays might also work to deal with those queens.

Pulling the drones out of gas to base 2 with the probe scout just to replace them has to be do far beyond the strategies Blizzard imagined at the beginning of this game..
I know it's meant to be an all-in, but might there be a way to fall back onto economy-focused play if I, as the Zerg, realize that my Protoss opponent has prepared for my cheese with an immortal?
Cannon rush is a joke against zerg.. just defend ur 1 base with roaches and nydus the main. Creepspread so the cannons cant reach anything... ditch the natural
i always get cannon rushed as zerg by protoss i dont know if this is the only thing they can do please silver \ gold protoss tell me can you make any units like zealots or immortals before i storm your with a nydus full of roaches and queens and drones to steal your base in case its a base trade
It depends on how much they invest in the cannon rush. I usually just throw down 2-3 cannons and 1-2 pylons to contain you on 1 base while I get the economy advantage. In that case, if I invest in too many probes it could still work but I should be able to shut it down. Most cannon rushes I see when I play Zerg, on the other hand, build a shit ton of pylons and cannons and sometimes even put their unit producing structures in my natural. This means they are trying to kill me outright and probably have nothing at home. In this case, Nydus works basically every time. So TL;DR, the more cannons you see, the less likely they are to be able to defend a Nydus.
@@ntm4 nearly all of them build 6 cannons and 3 gateways so i have to use queens to defend and lings while getting the nydus and pretending like i cant do anything
I have tried to execute this as fine as possible, and I end up placing the nydus worm in the opponents base by the 7 minutes mark... buildings take longer to build in my game rather than yours. is it because I havent bought the game and I am using the free-to-play version of it?
Yes, very easy ai is on slow speed, if you are a new player, just practice vs ai until you can beat it on hard, the speed will increase, online games are all at the fastest speed. If you want to see the difference, you can make a custom game and set your own speed
Nope, stargate is the easiest to defend with - get some scouts and kill all the overlords near the base. Then nydus become useless. Be carefull to completely wall off though, as imitators can sneak in and give vision.

If you want to improve at the game, never cheese. Go for a macro game everytime and you will learn much more.
Cheese is honestly so good to watch. My favourite is 'TACTICAL NUKE INCOMING BOOOP BOOOP from terran ghosts

Yes if you do damege that kills 10/20 probes or els it's almost impossible

@@abbyfromirs well if those 3 gates are proxied near the cannons then they shouldn't have anyway to defend a nydus.

No, free version is the same as regular version. Are you playing ai? Is the game set on fastest speed? The building time is not different.
