I drive through here most nights and its definitely far more dangerous now than anytime I can remember, the dereliction and abandonment definitely bring out the strange characters and roaming friends from foreign lands after midnight
I was in this area recently and was shocked how grotty it has become, Bradbury Place, Great Victoria Street particularly so. Not the place it used to be.😢
Your walking down the well know student area of Belfast, just as al the students have left for summer. Then picking random alley ways to walk down. You could do this anywhere and make it look terrible. Not a great video and not a true representation of the city
I'm walking down an area that was once well known as a student area, it is now known for it's large migrant population, pop off and read the census for the area. I reference the student aspect of the area in the video. "Picking random alleyways to walk down ", as opposed to set/designated alleyways, not sure what you are waffling about, I went down a couple of alleyways in the video. I've filmed loads of area in the city, and this is a true representation of the botanic area which has turned into a complete dump. Cheers for the critique Barry Norman, sure you do a video and we'll compare
It's sad to see this. I can remember this area back in 2017, and visited it last year (didn't even entertain a return visit this year). What a dump. Tat shops, crappy takeaway shops...just sh*t.
Very empty looking city 😮
Very run down and neglected looking empty city😮☹😕
Sadly true. Also very expensive
The words on the advertising poster 24:50 seems to send out a certain subliminal message to the native population. Great walk and vid.
Well spotted and apt indeed....cheers for the comment 👍
Saw that too, and thought the same thing.
All by design, The Irish north and south will be a minority in less than 40 years.

Agreed, the deterioration has been rapid. I did a walk around it around midnight last year, not great vibes

In the 80s/90s it was a fantastic place to be. Now it's filled with young foreign men, graffiti riddled buildings and empty units

You know it's become a sh*thole when even the taxi drivers have 'factaff'.

Fair summary. Sadly
I'll be back later this year for the first time in 10 years. It's sad to see it so run down when it used to be so alive.
Dublin Rd seems ok.
It's passable in parts lol. Definitely has a run down feel to it. I'm old enough to remember days of pips and the elbow rooms 🫣🤣
You might be older than me lol
Had my 18th in the elbow rooms. Think bouncers carried me out lol
