Very interesting thank you. I was aware of a little bit of the Jewish history of Belfast thanks to my grandmother who was from North Belfast and who would have talked about the Jewish people. I know that during the 80s and 90s there used to be a Jewish GP who was also a dentist apprantly that served as a private on call doctor for the hotels in Belfast namely the Europa if any forgien guests took ill during their stay... can't sadly recall his name and he may well be dead now. I also remember watching a local BBC news program one evening about a young Jewish Belfast fella that went and served as a paratrooper in the Isreali Defence Force.. was very strange seeing this Isreali paratrooper on deployment in Isreal with a broad Belfast accent.
