This is clean. Only problem is that you're using the factory amp side to give signal to the loc so you're sending and amplified signal to the new amp. Clipping will be a issue. Should have used the signal for the loc off the radio no the factory amp. But it's clean and looks good. Nice instal.
The radio signal coming out is digital which is why the factory amplifier has to stay in place to control the volume and Bluetooth. But yeah that would always be best when possible, and Thanks!
Yes for sure 👍🏼 the amplifier is only used if you want them to play louder or more sound adjustments and fine tuning, you can always add a amplifier later on if you’d like as well
Agreed. Labor/install would be cleaner and easier. I used one on mine and I can hear/use bluetooth with all my speakers/chimes etc. At least getting the t harness so you could tap in without cutting would have saved some time. I did same amppro optical out > helix dsp > amps
@ If you only replaced the speakers, they will play the factory frequency range as before. If it’s the Alpine amplified system they may only play lower frequencies and highs on the top dash
@@MiGo713 so just checked and I don’t have a amp. So have to figure out how to pull the radio or how to run the wires through the door. The grommet is a nightmare
@@theshark2804 yeah I feel you for sure, I would get them behind the radio it will be less work. The colors should be the same as I used here they will just be in the Radio Black 52 Pin Plug. You might just not have the tweeter wires or dash speakers if it’s not amplified. If you are doing a very high powered system running at least 16 gauge through the doors will be good also
@@MiGo713ok now I’m confused. I ran the door speakers to the rear from behind the radio with no amp and now I have no blue tooth speakers. But I still have the to dash speakers installed. I’m guessing the door and dash speaker are on the same wires? I will probably have to check all the wires now.
The front left output of the radio controls the Bluetooth audio on phone calls so you probably have to add a speaker on that wire for a separate Bluetooth audio like I did on the charger here.
I have it covered with tape not being used now, but it does have power from the back fuse box panel I tapped in. I can now use that wire to power an accessory in the future if needed
@@luisolguin9409 The front signal is separate mids/highs and the LOC is not a summing device. So I used the rear channels to get the full range signal. You can use a different signal processor with summing if you want to use the front signals.
@luisolguin9409 You might have to look at your rear speaker wire output from the amplifier, it might not have signal from your rcas or a setting on the amp
You can use the high level if your amp has the input for it. The there’s no gain for bass on a LOC unless your using a high end model like from audio control or similar
Great video. I have the Harmon Kardon system in my challenger. Thinking of switching all speakers out. Any recommendations on speaker sizes in the car. I plan on replacing the ten inch subs in the trunk with Jl audio w6’s since they don’t need much volume space
Nice! I would recommend staying with the factory 6X9 size to avoid modifying parts in the car or extra adapters, and the 3.5 factory size on the dashboard. Not sure on the subs but if you have them in the proper box should sound good, I’m not sure how they will sound if you have them free air
Hey...I have 2 2012 dodge charger se...I looked for the factory amp every same that this car doesn't have one or am I missing something... Sometimes my 2 front speakers will cut off...and other times they will sound loud with bass...trying to do a aftermarket radio..
Does it have the Alpine badges or other name? You might not have a factory amplifier, it should be under the driver dashboard. Sometimes they have them in the trunk top in the middle of the 6x9s underneath
Car Toys wanted to charge me +$1,300 if I brought everything and they just did the wiring, smh. Is the process the same for a '19 scat pack with the upgraded audio system? And is it possible (since it's the upgraded factory sound system) to just throw in better-quality speakers/subs or is the factory upgraded system not strong enough to handle that? Thanks in advance.
Wow high prices! If all the wires and pin locations are like on the video it should be the same, you can use a multimeter to check all of the wiring. And it’s possible to just upgrade the speakers if you want
Thanks! It will power them and will work but not to their full potential. You can try them out and if you want more loudness or clarity you can upgrade to a aftermarket amp, so you can certainly start with changing the speakers first 👍🏼
I have the 6 speaker setup. Is it possible to get a better quality sound just by swapping the speakers and using the connectors at the endpoint instead of messing with the wiring by the amp? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Yes you can get better sound with aftermarket speakers since the stock speakers, most aftermarket speaker will come with better material and tweeters which you will hear a difference, if you want it louder you will need a amplifier 👍🏼
@MiGo713 so I replaced the deck speakers, and those sounds 10 times better, but the dash still sounds like crap. I tried Kenwood kcf-something, and I also tried jbl328. It still sounds yucky. It's a little bassier up front, but the treble sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Any suggestions?
@hurrdurrr ah that’s good, maybe you need something with more treble up front you could try some of the kicker cs speakers they are factory replacement style or maybe adjusting you radios equalizer
@@vintageluna9870 I feel you bro👍🏽 you can if they get wired to the 2ohm stable resistance, but if you want them to play louder you need a bigger amp for 2 subwoofers since the amp is only giving them about 300-400 watts rms on that channel at 2 ohms

Wow... Really impressed. I got the pac amp pro which made things a lot easier with the wiring. Never tried my subwoofer box to the side. Will try out.
Glad it helped out, yeah the orientation of the box will change the sound and Thanks!!
Idk if you'll know the answer but I'll ask. I have a 2019 sxt charger without the amp. Would the wire colors be different for me?
Also how did you figure out which speaker wire went to what speaker??
Yes they will be different since your wires will be at the back of the radio and no factory amplifier
I have wire diagrams and tested them out on the car
@MiGo713 I been looking for a wore diagram and can't find one. If you know where I can get one that would be great.
