    Great video ... thanks for posting! At least we can work on these cars! I'm restoring my deceased brother's 63 Impala hardtop that he had since high school back in 71. These cars were quality made back then. I've also learned to re-install quality/original parts when available as they'll give you the best life. Replacing both rear body mounts on the 63 as they were fairly rusted...not a fun job, lol. Nice 64 ... keep on cruisin!

      Thanks for watching the channel. It's great to get to work on these cars and satisfying to do it yourself. I have a few more projects for mine it's just finding time. I hope to have new videos soon. Thanks again.

    What size bolts are those that bolt in the bottom end of shock to lower control arm

    Awesome video. 👍🏼👍🏼 question, what’s your opinion on air shocks for the rear? Do u prefer stock?

      Sorry for not responding sooner. I see nothing wrong with air shocks. I thought about putting them on my car but just haven't. I would like to bag it one of these days. Thanks for the support of the channel 👍

      Thanks for the support 👍. I use to have straight exhaust when I had my 283 but once I got my 350 I had to get glasspacks for it. It was just to loud.

      No not really because I have 1 1/5 lowering springs on the 64. But it helped with bottom ing out. Thanks for the question 🙂

      @@Dadlifeprojects ok was wondering cause I put stock springs in my 64 from a 63 cause previous owner cut them it was way too low wen I put on 13×7 but I left the shocks out cause they were bad an it still sits low but I can at least get the jack under it now thanks for responding back appreciate it 👍

    How did those shocks turn out?

    • @Dadlifeprojects
      @Dadlifeprojects  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shocks were great. The only problem is the car is so heavy and lowered they just don't last long. Thanks for the support 👍

    I don’t know if you’re gonna get this comment because of how old the video is. I just replaced the front shocks on my 64 but I think I’m over tighten in the top bolt because I noticed one side is bouncy or than the other I go to loosen both I noticed the car lifts up higher on one side than the other unless I got a bad shock in the brand new kit, but how far should I tighten the bolts on the top?
