My #1 weapon wish is the magnum. Feels wrong having a Halo game without it. Only ODST gets the pass because you're an ODST in it and the pistol fits but the sidekick doesn't fit as a main pistol for a spartan.
@@armstronggaming8566 nope all of the knock back and gravity effects were not working last season if they were around. If anything they probably fixed the netcode a bit and it works more consistently and better

I agree and I do think this season is the best one yet but... I gotta say, I think it's silly that people keep bringing up "The Flood" as being back in the game. It's just some customization, nothing more. When I first saw the thumbnail for the presentation of season 5 I though maybe just maybe it had something to do with that Flood mode that got leaked long ago. Or maybe an overhaul to Infection or just something gameplay related, not just some ugly cosmetics lol. But overall I still think S5 is a huge W
It probably would have if the story wasn't cut, as the story set up infection with the banished ai and clearly was heading in a flood outbreak direction.
One of the best things about campaign AI in forge is that when you have friendly elites in your map, you can actually trade weapons with them like in Halo 2 and 3!
Lots of great Forge improvements! File size cap increase as well as node cap increase are huge wins for me. My PT map has been stuck working around that cap for months. Hope 343 brings back Dee Bradley Baker for the Gravemind. Dude was iconic.
Season 5 is just so refreshing, I've finally been able to get some of my buddies on the game who I've been trying to convince to play for two years now. The Forge mode really leads to infinite possibilities, and cross core helmets creates so much immediate creative freedom. The next thing I would love to see added to Forge would be an ocean Forge canvas, Halo 2 Anniversary style. And a remake of Forge World would be awesome lol.

You said they need to add a proper grav hammer but the physics on it have been tweaked a lot this season to make it more in line with its older counterparts. Not quite exactly the same but it’s getting there
I swear the hammer in infinite is screwing me over in purpose. I hit people at less than a meter and I just knock the shields.. BUT whenever the enemy has it they hit me from the other half of the ring and instant kill

been playing infinite with some of my friends the past few days and its been a blast, most fun ive had playing halo since any of the 360 games, feels great!
Wasn't it lore that upon a Flood infected Spartan, All UNSC ships are to fire their MAC Gun upon the infected Spartan? Not only MAC Guns but also Nukes. They are to fire everything they have in their aresenal to eliminate the infected Spartan, to prevent UNSC secrets from being shared to the Hivemind and elimination of possibly the most dangerous Flood to exist. What would the lore implication and story be considering season 5 has the flood infected Spartans? Of course they can just say its for Halloween and thats it so none of that is canon but if it is Canon, the story implications are scary
I used to watch all your videos because halo was my favorite franchise, you were my audio stimulation when I played through every game on legendary. After Halo Infinite released and I played it I stopped being active in the halo community. Seeing you on my recommended again is a blast and hearing you talk about halo again is something I certainly missed and I didn’t even realize. I love your videos! Dude, holy fucking shit, NO. It's not happening. This is why Halo failed before. You need to be able to be realistic and admit successes and failures. The world is not coming back to Infinite. What you're seeing now are HALO players who quit Halo coming back. Is that a good thing? Yes. Is the "original player base" coming back? Absolutely fucking not. Never. It's. not. happening. Please, for fuck's sake
Personally I don't think I'll go back unless they rework the campaign or add a single player DLC. The story felt flat and unfinished, it was unsatisfying to play after the first few hours, and the map just felt empty. Yes the multiplayer is getting better now, but it still feels like it's missing something compared to past Halo's. If 343i wants to draw back the casual players and try to get some more new blood in the multiplayer, they'll need to have something other than cosmetics and battle passes. We were promised 10 years of infinite but taking almost 2 years to get to this point makes me feel cheated.
They’ve screwed the pooch with this game as they have for every release 343i has put out. You’d think they’d learn what makes a good launch but they never do. All of this should have been in the game at launch.
What do you mean by a “proper gravity hammer?” I think the gravity hammer is perfect in the game, especially with the new update. It seems much more consistent and has actual gravity effects now.

This season was the season i’ve been wanting! I took a break from Infinite from random crashes to server instability but it looks like its been shaping up! Can’t wait to get back into the fire

Me and my friends have been hopping on and playing in parties together, something we haven't done in months and months. To quote the actman, I can't believe I'm saying it but I'm having fun playing infinite! This is legitimately the most fun I've had since the game dropped and I was experiencing the multiplayer flights for the first time when everything was still fresh and new
The way I would fix the pay wall problem with armor and stuff is you make it available through like season challenges or something like that and after the season is over you can place it in the shop, that way people who want it but couldn’t get the challenge done could pay for it but for the players would want it without buying it, you have to grind the challenges
Something wasn't sitting right with me with the Flood Aesthetics and you nailed it on the head what I couldn't put into words, it's those pustule things, looks fine but looks off to me and would love to see some variants at least more in the original style.
Touching on the unlocking armors through challenges and mind you someone might have already made this point but I just didn't read the comment. I don't think it would be a problem to have unlockable armors behind a paywall, while also being able to unlock them through challenges or achievements

The multiplayer is free So it's not a cashcrab Every game has Microsanctions Look at Modern Bungie with Destiny Nobody cares about skins. You can't see the skins while your playing anyway What matters is Forge, Maps and multiplayer gameplay
The Bandit Evo was something I thought wouldn’t be that big of an edition, but it’s my new favorite gun. So damn satisfying to use, I wish they would add a weapon drill for it.
About the orange boils... I think it would stick perfectly if they were a dark green tone instead of a bright orange, since I remember the flood in CE (especially the infection forms and carrier forms) emitting a weak green light similar to those boils (similar to the plants in 343 guilty spark), so I don't think they're that far appart from bungie's aesthetic (just made them green and not so brightly please, otherwise they look more like the lambent from gears 3).
and some things in h2 also have the green glow although hw2 was more yellow instead of orange but they got rid of the green glow in h2 and h3 for the most part
I'm SOO glad you touched on the orange boils for the flood armor, on top it being used as a generic template, glowing eyes and pores are also overused, probably emulating Fortnite and the way Fortnite zombies looked. Also, the tendrils should be coming out of the chest piece.
I think the next big step is to have more reactive armor, I like the Flood concept but its a little sad that its all so static. Having those parts pulsing and moving around would of been the cherry ontop.
I think Halo YTers just overreact to everything. They all overreacted to Season 3 getting delayed and got half of the Halo community screeching that the game was dead, now they're all like "wOw are these fucking armor skins actually the thing Halo has needed for years??" Can't stand it. Game fun.
I haven’t had this much fun on halo since reach, with firefight and custom browser, I really want to play halo like constantly. I want halo to surge again. The lore videos, the tv shows that don’t suck, the audiobooks. I might even renew my audible account for halo books.
I don’t think the flood store armors are a problem cuz there’s also flood armors in the pass which look great and even come with less orange boils MY problem with the aesthetic is that it doesn’t go enough into body horror. You take these same designs but slide the head down behind the body to make room for a bulbous flood growth, and shove the hand limply aside like an unwanted obstruction in the way of the flood arm tendrils that hold the weapons instead. THATS the flood I want to see. S5’s aesthetic for flood looks more like the flood is growing ON the spartan rather than transforming them from the inside, but the growths themselves look rad
Playable elites by adding invasion, imagine Season 6 titled “Invasion” and its halo reach theme with max rank giving you the haunted helmet and then you get the Invasion game mode then realize holy shit I can be an elite then they give us revamped halo 3 elite armors along with reach ones then we can go off that and make our own. This update would bring Infinite where it should’ve been from the start and on top of that 90% of the player base will be back for this update to play as a elite.
Honestly I would love to see the spartan laser it's just iconic and I always found it to be quite solid and fun you knew what you were getting with it despite it being a big as laser gun.
I’m really particular about how I customize my Spartan. I realized a while ago it makes no sense for a Spartan with no visible ammo pouches to be able to reload, so I always put on mag holders and stuff like the tac/recon package. I didn’t like using Mark 7 core cause I didn’t have any ammo stuff for it, but I love the Mark 7 helmet, but now I can just put it on Mark 5B and be happy, lol
Biggest issue I have with Gungnir is that they decided to gut the attachments the same way they did with Stormfall. Why make the faceplate/visor locked behind an attachment and make the weird skeleton of the helmet the default?
20:15 343 seems to make it a habit of squashing in the front of the helmets. Kinda wish scout wasn't so short, agree that gungnir shouldn't be so short, kinda wish a lot of helmets weren't so short that it looks as if the helmet is replacing the front of the spartan's head.
I completely agree with you on the armor being locked behind paywalls. More of them need to be earnable, because of this it still feels like customization is insanely restrictive.
I feel like adding the flood in a upcoming season would be perfect. I really thought that’s what was gonna happen in the campaign dlc… sadly we never got any… but I’m still holding out hope. They drop some flood firefight or something… but I think they are holding back the flood for the next game maybe?
FloODST: Zeta Halo On the other side of the ring, Helljumpers are the first to discover that a Flood sylix has been opened by the Endless. Communications are knocked out, and it’s a gritty and dark race to reestablish comms to contact chief and the weapon to cleanse the outbreak. When they can’t be reached (for some reason), and the flood are closing in on the three surviving ODSTs, Jerome drops in to save them and tells them that the Spirit of Fire heard their distress call. The SoF crew hold back the flood, while the ODSTS and a small detachment of Spartans journey across the ring to reach the remaining crew of the Infinity and Chief.
The biggest thing for me is that the store doesn’t have a catalog. It should have every item up for individual sale. I hate going to the armoury and seeing “unavailable, released during season 2 etc” They all should be available for purchase. Miss a weekly from coating? Drop that in the store for 3-4 bucks and I might buy it if I like it enough. The store itself doesn’t do Halo any favours by just being a terrible store.
Season 5 is incredible and I'm happy 343i have finally hit their stride with Infinite. I sure hope this means they can shift a bit of focus to expanding the sandbox now. I miss my boy the Plasma Rifle. The Pulse Carbine doesn't compare at all lmao I'd also love to see the Rail Gun and Mantis return. Some love to the Reclaimer Saga would be really nice to see :)
Unlocking armor by completing achievements? Brother those days are long gone. 343 doesn't care about that anymore. Play our limited time events or be stricken with fomo, and BUY BUY BUY those cosmetic packs. It's all a big money machine now. The good days are over.
I much rather just have a single Flood core with every armor having a flood variant for it and it being a battlepass or something. And yeah, the flood stuff looks... eh. I would like to get the one with the skull showing through the helmet. Also, it's pretty good. I will play a lot more once Firefight releases, and hopefully once Firefight is fully out, they can get that Campaign DLC working.
Speaking of skin unlocks via achievements.. in Uncharted 2 for PS3 they had a multiplayer skeleton skin with a cool red beret and scarf you unlocked by getting Platinum (all achievements). It was such a cool skin and I felt like a badass having it. That kept me playing for a long time.
Agree on the cosmetics bit. I know every game is doing it but one of the best parts of the glory days of halo was unlocking cool ass armor by earning it in sometimes the most difficult ways in game. As many things they’re stuffing in the cash shop they need to be making in game unlockables that are on par with the paid cosmetics
I disagree I don’t really have the time to be doing a bunch of challenges just to unlock a cool set of armor. Let me pay for it so I can play using it already.
I was hoping that 343 could do some sort of thing like destiny does with its raids cause you can certainly make a “raid” in halo to continue the story somehow and put lots of lore tidbits. My idea was making it into an operation, but instead of all the rewards being in the battle pass, half of them are unlocked through achievements, and the other half through a 10 tier battle pass. Maybe some achievements would just be very simple like get a full clear of this raid/dungeon/excursion activity, to even something like complete it without any deaths on your team

im not saying it should be a grind, it should be something like a complete this a few times if you want some helmets or armor, no rng drops, literally just do the achievements, and get some rewards such as helmets, coatings, emblems, effects, etc, just basic drops from seasonal events, but lock some of them behind achievements instead of just battle pass xp. Achievements shouldn't be like do this 100 times, but something more challenging than tedious like a flawless raid.@@aztumtheknightofwumbo7060

10:55 it does. As someone who had 4 world records in kovaaks aim trainer couple years back, i still couldnt lock onto a target like you did here with a roller. It completely neglected his strafe, eliminating need for prediction adjusting, and having 100% crosshair uptime on the target, for the lowest TTK

I’m part of the player base that left with season 2… I am currently redownloading, I pray that 343 keeps this up, I love halo, i, like many others grew up on it
Fun custom campaign idea: The Tower First floors map description "A splinter group from the covenant discovered a forerunner tower on an otherwise desolate planet. The behemoth would've been visible from orbit, but the tower was hidden underground until this group activated it and saw in awe as it rose higher and higher into the sky seemingly never-endingly until one day it finally stopped and the entrance opened. It is said the splinter group is still climbing the tower to this day passionately curious to uncover its secrets at the very top and discover the reason such a structure was ever made. Just to use it against us, you must stop them." The first map you have to fight your way into the tower that is as tall as will fit in the map creator, and at very high up made narrow to a point so from the viewpoint of the ground it just appears to be jutting into the sky forever, and as many floors chock full of enemies, vehicles, weapons, and varying level design as it will allow. Then you can make "The Tower (floors 30-40)" Or whatever and have consecutive maps where you start in the tower on the floor just above where you ended on the last map. Someone could in theory make it go on as long as they want since you just start a new map once the forge limit is reached. Enemies get harder, stronger weapons become available, and more complexity is added to the level design as you go higher up, they don't need to be confined office building floors either they could be super tall floors that allow for flying vehicles sometimes even. Map descriptions moving forward could slowly reveal piece by piece the purpose of the tower from various objectives completed on the previous maps allowing our spartan to know that. The forger could even write their own lore on the splinter group and how they found the tower to begin with.
I feel like Dominion was the coolest mode of Halo 4. If they were gonna bring back a mode from H4, I feel like they should've brought back Dominion instead of Extraction, which just feels like a variant of KoTH.

Showing my age here but custom A.I. is something me and my buddy were talking about on bungie forums back in the halo 2 custom map days. This really is a big update for the forge and modding community. Never a bad thing to have more tools.
I still believe that the story is being progressed, just no longer the main idea, like the story will be happening in the background and stuff, maybe events tell or expand some parts of the story, heck we even have hints to this with the little flood thing in the news in infinite
I agree. the forerunner ruins/temple aesthetic is fucking amazing. the sleekness in ce, later parts of 2, 3, 4-5 is well and good but I just love the whole aztec vibe from the temples.
Because they still have customization locked behind a paywall, I am still not interested in playing. One of two things needs to happen to get me back into Halo. Either, options for custom armor in campaign/coop Or removal of customization from the paywall. Or at the very least give me other options to unlock some/all of it beyond just grinding the PvP clusterfuck like you USED to be able to do in prior Halos.
I’m not playing that game again until they add more story content into the campaign. Fuck 343, some people aren’t interested in the pvp, I just want an actual story.
Season 5 brought me back after not playing for well over a year and some change. I'm super excited for the stuff they have in the pipeline, mainly firefight. I've been waiting for firefight FOREVER since this game came out and that's definitely going to keep me coming back for more. I'm not as young and skilled at PVP heavy multiplayer games like I used to be, so having some time each night to go to town on some banished without constantly worrying about my competitive KD is going to be soooo refreshing. That aside, the cross-core helmets have changed everything for me. Something as small as that has made customizing so much easier and fun. I now use my Mark V helmet from my Mark V[B] core on my Mark VII and it looks so cool. Things are, at long last, looking up, it's exciting to feel this way after how the game's been for so long.
All we need now is: - Live Service Story - Campaign DLC - More Blood (M Rating) - Full Cross Core - Battle Royale - Arcade Games (Grifball) - Spartan Ops - Playable Elites Then we Gucci.
So, the way that I have looked at it in Halo Wars 2 is that those flood have that orange bio stuff because they were dormant for so long in the dark High Charaty so they just did like most things and started evolving. (note that I don't know how to spell everything)
I hope they bring old vehicles back as well. Especially the falcon, but I’d love to see the specter or the prowler come back as well. And of course the gauss hog
Ok ok hear me out when you complete the campaign if you stay for long enough you start to hear marines, reporting parties going missing and then you hear like audio of like flood, screaming the distance and then eventually you see like flood biomass starts slowly coming into the map and then combat forms start to be in the map

The Hammer is totally broken now. I played Slayer on prism and got killed in one hit from like 20ft away back to back

The flood being as a part of customization, and not in the infection game mode is quite weird.
Infection Flood was just horrible. We need to stay away from that.

Wasn't it lore that upon a Flood infected Spartan, All UNSC ships are to fire their MAC Gun upon the infected Spartan? Not only MAC Guns but also Nukes. They are to fire everything they have in their aresenal to eliminate the infected Spartan, to prevent UNSC secrets from being shared to the Hivemind and elimination of possibly the most dangerous Flood to exist. What would the lore implication and story be considering season 5 has the flood infected Spartans? Of course they can just say its for Halloween and thats it so none of that is canon but if it is Canon, the story implications are scary

Personally I don't think I'll go back unless they rework the campaign or add a single player DLC. The story felt flat and unfinished, it was unsatisfying to play after the first few hours, and the map just felt empty.
Yes the multiplayer is getting better now, but it still feels like it's missing something compared to past Halo's.
If 343i wants to draw back the casual players and try to get some more new blood in the multiplayer, they'll need to have something other than cosmetics and battle passes.
We were promised 10 years of infinite but taking almost 2 years to get to this point makes me feel cheated.

What do you mean by a “proper gravity hammer?” I think the gravity hammer is perfect in the game, especially with the new update. It seems much more consistent and has actual gravity effects now.

Hey man, great to see you back. The only two things I wanted to tell you, they fixed the Mangler and the went and fixed all versions of the gravity hammer- you can actually kill people with it and they have physics.
This season was the season i’ve been wanting! I took a break from Infinite from random crashes to server instability but it looks like its been shaping up! Can’t wait to get back into the fire
After sinking the equivalent of 5 days worth of hours into Starfield, Halo infinite season 5, just stole all of my gaming attention. Me and my friends have been hopping on and playing in parties together, something we haven't done in months and months. To quote the actman, I can't believe I'm saying it but I'm having fun playing infinite! This is legitimately the most fun I've had since the game dropped and I was experiencing the multiplayer flights for the first time when everything was still fresh and new
Season 5 so far from what I’ve played has been really good, really hope they could bring the flood back to Infinite within Firefight
The way I would fix the pay wall problem with armor and stuff is you make it available through like season challenges or something like that and after the season is over you can place it in the shop, that way people who want it but couldn’t get the challenge done could pay for it but for the players would want it without buying it, you have to grind the challenges
Something wasn't sitting right with me with the Flood Aesthetics and you nailed it on the head what I couldn't put into words, it's those pustule things, looks fine but looks off to me and would love to see some variants at least more in the original style.
Touching on the unlocking armors through challenges and mind you someone might have already made this point but I just didn't read the comment. I don't think it would be a problem to have unlockable armors behind a paywall, while also being able to unlock them through challenges or achievements

About the orange boils... I think it would stick perfectly if they were a dark green tone instead of a bright orange, since I remember the flood in CE (especially the infection forms and carrier forms) emitting a weak green light similar to those boils (similar to the plants in 343 guilty spark), so I don't think they're that far appart from bungie's aesthetic (just made them green and not so brightly please, otherwise they look more like the lambent from gears 3).
and some things in h2 also have the green glow although hw2 was more yellow instead of orange but they got rid of the green glow in h2 and h3 for the most part

I'm SOO glad you touched on the orange boils for the flood armor, on top it being used as a generic template, glowing eyes and pores are also overused, probably emulating Fortnite and the way Fortnite zombies looked.
Also, the tendrils should be coming out of the chest piece.
I think the next big step is to have more reactive armor, I like the Flood concept but its a little sad that its all so static. Having those parts pulsing and moving around would of been the cherry ontop.
I think Halo YTers just overreact to everything. They all overreacted to Season 3 getting delayed and got half of the Halo community screeching that the game was dead, now they're all like "wOw are these fucking armor skins actually the thing Halo has needed for years??" Can't stand it. Game fun.

I haven’t had this much fun on halo since reach, with firefight and custom browser, I really want to play halo like constantly. I want halo to surge again. The lore videos, the tv shows that don’t suck, the audiobooks. I might even renew my audible account for halo books.

I don’t think the flood store armors are a problem cuz there’s also flood armors in the pass which look great and even come with less orange boils
MY problem with the aesthetic is that it doesn’t go enough into body horror. You take these same designs but slide the head down behind the body to make room for a bulbous flood growth, and shove the hand limply aside like an unwanted obstruction in the way of the flood arm tendrils that hold the weapons instead. THATS the flood I want to see.
S5’s aesthetic for flood looks more like the flood is growing ON the spartan rather than transforming them from the inside, but the growths themselves look rad
Playable elites by adding invasion, imagine Season 6 titled “Invasion” and its halo reach theme with max rank giving you the haunted helmet and then you get the Invasion game mode then realize holy shit I can be an elite then they give us revamped halo 3 elite armors along with reach ones then we can go off that and make our own. This update would bring Infinite where it should’ve been from the start and on top of that 90% of the player base will be back for this update to play as a elite.
Honestly I would love to see the spartan laser it's just iconic and I always found it to be quite solid and fun you knew what you were getting with it despite it being a big as laser gun.
I’m really particular about how I customize my Spartan. I realized a while ago it makes no sense for a Spartan with no visible ammo pouches to be able to reload, so I always put on mag holders and stuff like the tac/recon package. I didn’t like using Mark 7 core cause I didn’t have any ammo stuff for it, but I love the Mark 7 helmet, but now I can just put it on Mark 5B and be happy, lol
Biggest issue I have with Gungnir is that they decided to gut the attachments the same way they did with Stormfall. Why make the faceplate/visor locked behind an attachment and make the weird skeleton of the helmet the default?
20:15 343 seems to make it a habit of squashing in the front of the helmets. Kinda wish scout wasn't so short, agree that gungnir shouldn't be so short, kinda wish a lot of helmets weren't so short that it looks as if the helmet is replacing the front of the spartan's head.
I completely agree with you on the armor being locked behind paywalls. More of them need to be earnable, because of this it still feels like customization is insanely restrictive.

The SoF crew hold back the flood, while the ODSTS and a small detachment of Spartans journey across the ring to reach the remaining crew of the Infinity and Chief.

The biggest thing for me is that the store doesn’t have a catalog. It should have every item up for individual sale. I hate going to the armoury and seeing “unavailable, released during season 2 etc” They all should be available for purchase. Miss a weekly from coating? Drop that in the store for 3-4 bucks and I might buy it if I like it enough. The store itself doesn’t do Halo any favours by just being a terrible store.
Season 5 is incredible and I'm happy 343i have finally hit their stride with Infinite.
I sure hope this means they can shift a bit of focus to expanding the sandbox now. I miss my boy the Plasma Rifle. The Pulse Carbine doesn't compare at all lmao

I much rather just have a single Flood core with every armor having a flood variant for it and it being a battlepass or something. And yeah, the flood stuff looks... eh. I would like to get the one with the skull showing through the helmet.
Also, it's pretty good. I will play a lot more once Firefight releases, and hopefully once Firefight is fully out, they can get that Campaign DLC working.
Speaking of skin unlocks via achievements.. in Uncharted 2 for PS3 they had a multiplayer skeleton skin with a cool red beret and scarf you unlocked by getting Platinum (all achievements). It was such a cool skin and I felt like a badass having it. That kept me playing for a long time.
Agree on the cosmetics bit. I know every game is doing it but one of the best parts of the glory days of halo was unlocking cool ass armor by earning it in sometimes the most difficult ways in game. As many things they’re stuffing in the cash shop they need to be making in game unlockables that are on par with the paid cosmetics
I disagree I don’t really have the time to be doing a bunch of challenges just to unlock a cool set of armor. Let me pay for it so I can play using it already.

I was hoping that 343 could do some sort of thing like destiny does with its raids cause you can certainly make a “raid” in halo to continue the story somehow and put lots of lore tidbits. My idea was making it into an operation, but instead of all the rewards being in the battle pass, half of them are unlocked through achievements, and the other half through a 10 tier battle pass. Maybe some achievements would just be very simple like get a full clear of this raid/dungeon/excursion activity, to even something like complete it without any deaths on your team

im not saying it should be a grind, it should be something like a complete this a few times if you want some helmets or armor, no rng drops, literally just do the achievements, and get some rewards such as helmets, coatings, emblems, effects, etc, just basic drops from seasonal events, but lock some of them behind achievements instead of just battle pass xp. Achievements shouldn't be like do this 100 times, but something more challenging than tedious like a flawless raid.@@aztumtheknightofwumbo7060

It completely neglected his strafe, eliminating need for prediction adjusting, and having 100% crosshair uptime on the target, for the lowest TTK

Fun custom campaign idea:
The Tower
First floors map description "A splinter group from the covenant discovered a forerunner tower on an otherwise desolate planet. The behemoth would've been visible from orbit, but the tower was hidden underground until this group activated it and saw in awe as it rose higher and higher into the sky seemingly never-endingly until one day it finally stopped and the entrance opened. It is said the splinter group is still climbing the tower to this day passionately curious to uncover its secrets at the very top and discover the reason such a structure was ever made. Just to use it against us, you must stop them."
The first map you have to fight your way into the tower that is as tall as will fit in the map creator, and at very high up made narrow to a point so from the viewpoint of the ground it just appears to be jutting into the sky forever, and as many floors chock full of enemies, vehicles, weapons, and varying level design as it will allow. Then you can make "The Tower (floors 30-40)" Or whatever and have consecutive maps where you start in the tower on the floor just above where you ended on the last map. Someone could in theory make it go on as long as they want since you just start a new map once the forge limit is reached. Enemies get harder, stronger weapons become available, and more complexity is added to the level design as you go higher up, they don't need to be confined office building floors either they could be super tall floors that allow for flying vehicles sometimes even.
Map descriptions moving forward could slowly reveal piece by piece the purpose of the tower from various objectives completed on the previous maps allowing our spartan to know that. The forger could even write their own lore on the splinter group and how they found the tower to begin with.
I feel like Dominion was the coolest mode of Halo 4. If they were gonna bring back a mode from H4, I feel like they should've brought back Dominion instead of Extraction, which just feels like a variant of KoTH.

Showing my age here but custom A.I. is something me and my buddy were talking about on bungie forums back in the halo 2 custom map days. This really is a big update for the forge and modding community. Never a bad thing to have more tools.
The Flood boils should have been green to reference the glow effects in Combat Evolved.
I still believe that the story is being progressed, just no longer the main idea, like the story will be happening in the background and stuff, maybe events tell or expand some parts of the story, heck we even have hints to this with the little flood thing in the news in infinite

I agree. the forerunner ruins/temple aesthetic is fucking amazing. the sleekness in ce, later parts of 2, 3, 4-5 is well and good but I just love the whole aztec vibe from the temples.

One of two things needs to happen to get me back into Halo.
Either, options for custom armor in campaign/coop
Or removal of customization from the paywall. Or at the very least give me other options to unlock some/all of it beyond just grinding the PvP clusterfuck like you USED to be able to do in prior Halos.
I’m not playing that game again until they add more story content into the campaign. Fuck 343, some people aren’t interested in the pvp, I just want an actual story.
Season 5 brought me back after not playing for well over a year and some change. I'm super excited for the stuff they have in the pipeline, mainly firefight. I've been waiting for firefight FOREVER since this game came out and that's definitely going to keep me coming back for more. I'm not as young and skilled at PVP heavy multiplayer games like I used to be, so having some time each night to go to town on some banished without constantly worrying about my competitive KD is going to be soooo refreshing. That aside, the cross-core helmets have changed everything for me. Something as small as that has made customizing so much easier and fun. I now use my Mark V helmet from my Mark V[B] core on my Mark VII and it looks so cool. Things are, at long last, looking up, it's exciting to feel this way after how the game's been for so long.
All we need now is:
- Live Service Story
- Campaign DLC
- More Blood (M Rating)
- Full Cross Core
- Battle Royale
- Arcade Games (Grifball)
- Spartan Ops
- Playable Elites
Then we Gucci.
Microsoft fired the campaign team
So we won't get any form of story or PVE except firefighter until earliest 2027.
Nobody wants Spartan OPS
So, the way that I have looked at it in Halo Wars 2 is that those flood have that orange bio stuff because they were dormant for so long in the dark High Charaty so they just did like most things and started evolving. (note that I don't know how to spell everything)

Ok ok hear me out when you complete the campaign if you stay for long enough you start to hear marines, reporting parties going missing and then you hear like audio of like flood, screaming the distance and then eventually you see like flood biomass starts slowly coming into the map and then combat forms start to be in the map
