I've been there in this situation, I was 5 or 6 years old. When I was seven years old, my parents got divorced, it was the most horrible time of my life. Especially if someone doesn't commit to growing up, but you still love them too much to say goodbye or that you don't want to see them because they're toxic. I'm 14 now, I just woke up having a nightmare about my dad, I woke up with a panic attack and I came right here to calm down, don't you have Ida how much I'm glad to know that there's someone who can understand me. My parents were also fighting. My mum went to a picnic so did my dad, my mum sort of had an injured leg and couldn’t walk properly she got a tiny bit drunk and couldn’t walk and she needed someone to walk with her so she is stable we all walked to the car and my parents were fighting there was this bench near the car park my mum started crying because she felt like a disappointment and wanted to also kill herself she told me and my dad to leave her there she will survive on her own and that broke my heart 💔 I sat there with her and I said your coming with us and my dad said just get in the f car we got in my dad was driving aggressively because he was mad he didn’t drink obvi he’s the one driving my mum kept saying please drive normally and my dad just started shouting so did my mum I shouted out STOP! Drive carefully please and thank you we got home my mum went to bed to sleep to get things off her mind my dad was driving we didn’t know where, so I called him and said dad where are you? Hug mum and make her feel better please ❤ and he said no she needs to apologise and I started telling him please come home and I started tearing up a bit but not fully because he hates when ppl cry it makes him feel bad, he came home and I kept hearing them shouting in their room I listened through the door and my mum said the word divorce I opened the door and took her phone and I said I’m not giving it back THERE IS NO DIVORCE!! 😭 and my mum said okay there isn’t they both slept it was night time next morning everything was okay and my parents thanked me for helping and keeping the relationship going 😮💨 I was relived (*i am sorry for people who have to go through their parents being separated I wish all best of luck and just focus on your well being and life*) ❤❤
