@@1mandrywallarmytv144 I appreciate your reply. One more question, is it the same bead you would use to terminate a wall in the middle of a fix panel window?
How did you secure jt to the roof sir is there a beam running above the celing tiles ? I have to make a divider wall in a building like this and jts my first time
my 3 year apprenticeship was thru a non union source. However I did join the union like a year or two later and worked maybe 6 years there and then I became licensed in California over 13 years ago and still have my drywall company. I learned from both union and non union
Can you explain “the grid” further? Is it referring to the framing above the panels? Do you pop a panel and look above to figure out the grid or can you determine the grid from below by basing it off of the of intersecting panels?
No, I use the t-grid layout which you can see from the underside. We know that the t grid is square so I follow what is already there. That way I avoid having my walls not line up with the existing grid. It would look not so good if you have a 10 ft run of wall under the t grid where there is a 2 inch difference from end to end. Hope that helps?
Thank you for the informative video.
Question, how do you finish or terminate the drywall up to the drop down ceiling?
Zip strip it. It's also called tear away bead
