He might be unbeatable at Stage races and Mountain/ hilly Classics. But as long as they don`t change the Profil of Milano San Remo in a different way i can't see him winning. Poggio or cipressa ist just too easy to drop the bigger/ faster Guys with the likes of MvdP and WvA. I won`t ruling out him winning there at some day but imo not Mano o Mano against MvdP and WvA.
@baumann9551 i dont. I really would like him finishing the Milan San Remo Odyssey! He could not drop mvdp from his wheel with ~6,4 km to go. 2nd attempt with ~5,8km there were Like 5-6 Riders between pogacar and MvdP and Matthieu was able to close the Gap. The Point is, the Profile is just too easy and hard to fatigue the bigger Guys. Poggio ist just short distance low gradient "hill", average under 4%. Won't even Cat 4 in a Grand Tour.Pogacar has the best W/kg of all time. No doubt. Give him a course a little bit more difficult and he will ride them all of the wheel like he did in 24! But San Remo and Roubaix ist more about pure strenght, absolute Watt and MvdP ist also a total Freak and the best short effort Puncher in my opinion.
@@rafalpruszynski6129 and what is your point? The can't match pogacar at Strade, they can't match him at Liege, they can't match pogacar at Lombardia,... The more difficult the race, the easier it gets for him. In fact He got 4 times Lombardia before 1 San Remo... Mr cycling expert, how often won Prime Sagan San Remo? Even with probably the best needed San Remo Skillset: Punch, Sprint, descent/ Bike handling... So yes San Remo ist more "random" If you want to call it that way and not always the strongest Guy (pogacar) wins here all the time. Maybe you just also need some other skills... Mohoric won with a hell of a decent, JP top tier sprint, Nibali did not get marked and so on... Come on Dude!
The best cyclist of all time simple as that we are so lucky.

i honestly think youre underestimating the guy, look at 2024, mvdp only barely closed the gap in time.
Dude, much worse riders won MSR. Tell us how utterly ignorant you are of cycling
