Love this game. The graphics are still very decent after more than 20 years. It has a special vibe. I love the sound effects too and the gameplay. It has some very tricky maps tho! :D
I agree (trigger warning) I wasn't a big fan of playing this game but loved watching my brother play it the dark vibes all the light off at 3am just hanging out seeing the great atmosphere of this game
It's fantastic seeing you dance around bombs and enemy AI so easily. The way you deactivate those alternating colour bombs so fast, too! Amazing to see! A few times I went "WHAT HOW??" Out loud haha Great to see people still run this game!
This is absolutely mind boggling how you are able to run through the levels so fast. At some point I thought you were running cheats but obviously not. I see some of the commenters asked for a verbal talk-through of how you do some of these godly moves. I've recently started playing this game again after 22 years and I still enjoy it. I've found so many more secret levels compared to when I first played it back then. Please keep the content coming.
I can assure you no cheats were used lol. I still haven't got around to talking through the run but I do hope to in the near future. I'm still speedrunning Oddysee and Exoddus on Twitch so all my best times will be uploaded here.

@@Hard2TheCoreForLife The sligs killing themselves can be explained, you can achieve this because certain sligs don't have an end path set when they chase you, so they'll run right off the edge or into a bomb. But the boulder thing is actually pretty weird, I never noticed that before. I still think they're legit though :)

This might be the most impressive speed run ive seen of any game. I played this game when i was younger and never finished it, let alone save all the others. Even now i couldn't save them all with no time limit. The game is extremely difficult and unforgiving on its own, so this is crazy. Im a good gamer too, I had a full ride scholarship in college to play overwatch. Maybe ill finish this game onw of these days, seeing this crazy speed run brought back memories lol. You should stream more of these oddworld speed runs
Amazing run. Interesting to see the ai manipulation used, some of which I'd never seen before. I'm always learning something new about this game! And what amazing art in this game, some truly brilliant environments. I'm curious what patch of the game you use, as some art looks a little different (but maybe I'm misremembering) and whether the AI tricks used are present in all versions. Cheers!
We save and quit a couple times during the run because the game experiences memory corruption after so long, we’re not sure why it happens but the Relive project has fixed it so the devs of relice may know why.

Saw at least 9 times when you needed to die. Like the enemies cannot attack you but chase you. Also saw multiple times when the bullet needed to hit you or the slogs needed to catch you. What the heck?
Is this done all in one take or is each stage attempted multiple times until you clear a segment with perfect timing and then edit everything together at the end?
I've finished this game with my friend when we were 10 years old. It took us countless hours and we died hundreds of times. Doing it with all secret rooms and saving all of mudkons makes this five sicker

I never claimed this was possible on the PS1 version and most speedrunners run on the PC version because it is faster. You seem very obsessed with telling everyone that I cheated in this run. Maybe you should go take a 10km hike and think about life. Is this the best use of your time? Maybe try to speedrun the PS1 version and show us all your skills.

The slig survived because I left the screen too early. Some sligs will not die if you are on another screen and some will. This was the biggest mistake in this run.
Chanting while being chased by that first scrab so he falls down the gap is hilarious. I've always done that hidden area the hard way - gonna have to try this one!
Hi Teelo, the game was badly ported from PS1 to PC which causes crashes and missing assets (missing lifts, bombs etc). Restarting prevents memory corruption and random crashes. That's why we save and restart at certain parts of the game, in this case at the beginning of Scrabania and Zulag 1.
@@teelo12000 It doesn't crash on console (the system it was created for). The PC version is just ported from the console version so it was not really tested as far as I know. You will have issues unless you save and restart. But if you're doing a console run you don't need to do any of this at all :)
As a kid I've played this many many times on Sunday with a snack or something haha. It's amazing to see anyone play through what I remember as one of the most difficult games ever this fast and accurately. Amazing job. Also the graphics (especially backgrounds and transitions) are still beautiful IMO

This is the most staggering and impressive speed run of any game that I have ever seen. This game is exceptionally hard to play.

I have learnt by watching walkthroughs, it's all about blowing up cameras and Activate bombs.
what are those random diamonds that float onto the screen every time you go through a door or transition a screen?
The diamonds show when you have hit a checkpoint. They are only on the pc version so if you only played on ps1 you wouldn't have seen them.

Definitely not fake, if you hop at the right moment you trigger the floating mine and just get out of the blast radius in time.
