I think that the recoil of Blastoise's cannons is the least concerning thing when there are lava snails, sea serpents that destroy towns when angry, mountain-eater dinosaurs.... Not to mention the legendaries
this is my favorite fan rendition of the pokémon soundtrack, by far. each piece has so much care to keep the feeling of the original games they came from. route 27 is still that triumphant, uplifting feeling of being the both the beginning and end of your journey green’s theme has the same intensity and panicked feeling of the original, but still with a sense of power and control iris’ theme has that energetic, youthful feel to it, and how it’s still adrenaline inducing and powerful. cynthia’s theme always will be that “oh man, i am SCREWED” song, and it was encapsulated perfectly with the instrumentation here diatha’s theme is as elegant as the original, and honestly? i think it sounds better and more “final boss” in this rendition than the original (the original is still an S tier champion theme, but this is just so insanely good) steven/wallace’s theme has to be my absolute favorite of your renditions, though. the main melody has the EXACT same feel but pump the emotion up a thousand times, with the insane drums and feeling of exhilaration. and of course, red’s theme is as absolutely terrifying as ever, and you really know you’re dead when the main melody kicks in. kudos to you, i have never relistened to anything fanmade as much as i have relistened to this. wish that there were full versions though 😩

Red because of the symbolic return of the original protaganist 2. Cynthia for it's difficulty 3. Giovanii for the sign that the battle is over, and red has no more obstacles from stopping him to his goal of champion 5. Blue, just because I can't think of any one else.
Iris was so satisfying for me. After Haxorus' outrage had (somehow) one shot my level 68 Hydreigon, my level 60 lucario (again, somehow) tanked an outrage. I was amazed. I proc'ed focus sash and confusion by using one dragon pulse (lucario can learn it), she used her full restore next turn, and I dragon pulsed once more and then...I'd won. I still remember seeing Lucario by my side as I entered the hall of fame for the first time. The team had been: Hydreigon Lucario Zoaroark Darmanitan Samurott Weavile
I come back and listen to this every now and again and I still love that you get the Pokemon Center healing sound before "Pick a god and pray because here comes Red."

My thoughts on all the gens champs: Gen 1: your rival wants to battle you gen 2: lance= kaiba, red= atem/yugi (2 pinacles of monster battles that compliment each other) gen3: steve stone=tony stark, wallace= good version of ghirahim (his gen 6 design screams ghirahim) gen 4: cynthia= samus (both were raised by ancient tribes, whilst learning to be both powerful in battle & in knowledge) gen 5: alder= gouki (an elder badass who was beaten but survived their encounter to teach others), iris= madoka gen 6: diantha= aqua
