This tail was made as part of a partial fursuit commission, and as such is not for sale.
I wanted to go more in-depth with this one, but due to lack of motivation and just general bleh weather affecting me lately I didn't manage to film as much as I wanted.
That said, I still think it came out pretty cool and easy to understand!
I also intended to (and made several times) add the Patreon and Fanart Feature screens. But since upgrading my graphics card I've been encountering issues with certain programs that may need a fresh install.
Which does mean I'll lose all editing on my current tutorials. ;-;
Things will be a bit slow-going as I find my stride with this whole Verified TH-camr world I've entered.

@@yourlocaltherapistfriend5091 exactly, I’ve been making fursuits for two years and I still have a long way to go before I’m good, being a furry is a lot of work, time, head, hand, and backaches. and I’ve seen so many amazing furries get nothing but hate because people are very uneducated and out of the know. I would *very highly* recommend to research anything for this matter before saying anything.
@@BeautyBySierraa well, I can't speak from experience, I have yet to create anything of the sort, but I have seen my sister try and fail to create paws, but she's trying really hard to get the shape correct. I do have some small scale plush experience though, and just from that it's obvious that larger scale projects take enormous amounts of effort, time, material and motivation. I haven't watched as many furry creation videos as I have other content, but I assure you I have seen enough to know that unless I underwent creating a suit myself I cannot fathom to what end one will go to through all the pain of sewing and continuous effort for such a beautiful and rewarding product. I made a tailbase (too lazy to fur right now, but ye) using one of your tutorials like 2 months ago, and since I don't have an electic knife, I had to do it all with scissors.
It took me like 4 days just to carve it and I still hurt my hand even though I took a lot of brakes! I really recomend getting an electic knife, even though I don't have one of my own!

a knife is literally the first thing I bought lol i hear all these stories about horrible hand pain and i was like ye fuk no and i immediently went and found a cheap carving knife online and ordered it with what little money I had
I know this was months ago but if you still dont have one, I recommend looking in Ace Hardware! They have some really good high quality ones.

Honestly couldnt have asked for better timing on this video! I have been struggling so much with the idea of how to create a long tail that would move this way and then i saw the way you put the elastic on the moving parts to strengthen it and it was like a lightbulb moment ! I have been following your channel for a long time and watching as much as i could to do my research and finally i think i am ready to start my first fursuit... *stress*

wow super early for this! Im wondering where she gets these huge blocks of foam as I've been looking around but maybe not hard enough. I want to make a super motion avali tail and my fursona tail. :)

I find loads of four inch and three inch foam in Walmart, Joann’s, and hobby lobby. I recommend Joann’s because they have different amounts
this tail is STUNNING. I cannot put it into enough words at how inspirational you are to me. I very much admire how you were somehow able to make all those stripes line up with that tail. let alone have the mental capacity to do all that sewing XD I've used your tutorials for some paws and tails, and I absolutely can't wait to make a sergal fullsuit! all the best :)

I think a lot of people overlook just how much goes into every piece of every fursuit. The craftsmanship on this is out of this world.

My Fursona is a White saber-tooth tiger and i haven't been able to find a feline tail tutorial anywhere! Thank you so much, this is why you're my favorite fursuit tutorial makers. Not to mention you're a creative and wonderful human in general, so-
Keep in mind smilodons (sabertooths/saberteeth) usually have small tails. Like a dog tail that has been cut. Not telling you how to make your own oc, just giving fun facts ^_^

It was a floor dragger, and the strategy you use for the base of your fursuit tails helped me find a way I can make them so they aren’t wonky. Thanks for the amazing detailed videos! Years ago I wanted to make a costume, but because it would have involved sewing fancy fabric , I just gave up the idea. Seeing your videos makes me want to try it again after all! I wanted to make a dragon Outfit with a shiny scale tail but I couldn't figure out how to make it dynamic and not just a floppy piece of stuffed fabric. Costume design has come a long way and this is fabulous

Haha, the 'big mess' made by scissors is something that happens to me a lot. I totally haven't had a giant mess on my floor while carving a rounded muzzle-
Little tip: I glued a bunch of old plastic bags together (not the cheap cvs ones, I use ones that are thick enough to hold their shape) and make a mat. All the mess I make, I keep it on the mat. After I’m done, I fold it and dump the scraps in the trash, shake out the mat, and it’s reusable. Dimensions are usually somewhere around 5 by 5 feet. It’s saved my floors multiple times 😅

When me and my dad are woodworking and we have to glue something together we use all the clamps "ALL THE CLAMPS"!!! Even if some of the clamps are too small for the current project he will still use them😀
