I was thinking the same thing.i like the turning and it looks great but coating it with chemicals kinda defeats the purpose..made to be functional not fancy..

I love how translucent fat wood is in the sun. Know a lucky guy who has a Helle Utvaer with actual good fit an finish but most of all, it had complete fat wood scales on it (which isn't a feature/option, his just somehow were fat wood pieces from the factory)
