Hey Dave. My 8 year old daughter and I practice are bushcrafting next to Spring Meadow Golf course in New Jersey. I'm sure u remember the spot. We love your videos. Thanks
Great video, just a question though, are you recording with a phone? is it possible to get a wider shot if you film horizontally instead of vertical? thank you
Awesome Video Dave as always. Thank You for all your hard work and dedication to the Woodcrafting and Survival world
We used pine tar on horses when they'd injure themselves on the barbed wire. One gelding would seek me out whenever he got a scrape, lol.
I can't believe how much the yield was. Great video Dave....you are a huge asset and inspiration to us all.
hey DAVE!!!!! BRINGING Back dirty rotten survival, that show kicked ass!!!!!!
I never thought about doing it at that grand of a level. Outstanding guys!

Wow! Never seen anyone get that much pine tar all at once. Thanks for the video brother!
Very clever use of the old popcorn tin! always innovating something out there .
JB Weld works wonders
I should try making this out of the jackpines we have here up north. Great for wood projects. Thanks for posting!
It has healing properties??? So cool. I look forward to learning about that. Thanks Dave.
hay Dave just was wondering if you would make some more fishing videos I love you channel thank you for all you do
That was awesome. Never knew you could do that.
Great video! Thank you gentlemen!
O-H
Could you also use white pine , here in the northeast is mostly what we have. Luv the videos, Ben.
Awesome series, well done thank you!
Awesome. I'll have to give this a try in the near future.
Pretty damn cool. I never would have thought you could extract that much resin. I was expecting a couple inches in the bottom of the catch jar, tops.
Love It
Impressive results!!
sweet I hope we get to see the soap making.
Excellent video good sir.
Wouldn't you get more tar if wood was all vertical
Good to know. Thank you for this.
Amazing video. This is all new to me, does anyone know if this works for all pine trees or just North American ones?
Very useful skill to have if you need to live off grid
Can you use all of the pine of the tree or just fatwood
and from there straight onto the wood? or boil it first
I would love to make some of that but unfortunately I am limited on resources and a place to do it, I really would like to have some bug dope
Will the pine tar harden over time?
wow that was freaking cool
so is that end product similar to creosote oil?
Hey Dave, think you could do a Journal of the Yurt Season 2 sometime soon?
what would the charred fatwood be good for?
Amazing...thanks for sharing.
very cool learn something new everyday.
Works as a great fire starter
amazing video as always my friend 😇
How big did you have to get the fire & how long did it burn? Did the wood turn to charcoal, or does it still need more cooking?
How do they make turpentine then?
dang dude! how cool is that!
So, it's kind of similar to making birch oil. Cool.
What happened to the video where he made the egg sausage and I think stuffing
Awesome I have to try this
How long did that take?
Handsome instructor
Excellent
Great video, just a question though, are you recording with a phone? is it possible to get a wider shot if you film horizontally instead of vertical?
