Really- I remember baking a tiny pumpkin pie, using crust scraps and wee bit of filling from my mother's pie-making. And a tiny meatloaf (my mother let me add the egg and mix the loaf for family dinner, and allowed me to keep a bit for my own baking.) The Suzy Homemaker oven had an advantage over Easy-Bake: you weren't restricted to pans that fit in the drawer!
I wanted an Easy Bake oven as a child (I'm about as old as the oven in this video), but I never got one and was always sad about that. It's really cool to see what it would have been like to play with that type of toy now! The Easy Bake oven types they have now are so different. I don't know why miniature cooking is so fascinating to me and so many others. Though I like seeing mixes baked up, I'd also love to see you create miniature recipes that would work. It'd be fun to see measurements in tablespoons of flour instead of cups, and pinches of baking soda instead of teaspoons, etc. for your own cakes or cookies or muffins or what have you.
+LuckyPennyShop.com I turned on annotations and captions, and I'm on a desktop, but there's no I in the video. I know what you're talking about but there isn't one in this video (for me). As far as I understand it, cards are not shown to all viewers, so I don't think that's really fair to use that system for a poll (also it was frustrating when I couldn't find it). Everyone should be able to vote, and the people who see the poll may not be people who actually care about it. Will you still let people vote in the comments?
You need to get the 3 speed blender and larger oven by Suzy Homemaker. I grew up with those toys They were Awesome, The dishwasher and full size washer rocked!! The larger oven had 2 light bulbs, then came the super oven which had a 280 watt heating element in it, No light bulbs. Then the company closed up in 1971got caught lying to the SEC
I remember when I was little my grandmother had an easy bake oven, it wasn’t as old as this, more like one of the newer ones, but I remember doing the life saver cake. It was fun to make I think, however the one thing I remember was how awful the watermelon flavor of it was. Just AWFUL. But of course I was excited to see it in the thumbnail of this video, it brought back memories
Thanks for stopping by! Your watching really helps the channel! - I have done over 35 Easy Bake Oven videos, check out the playlist, maybe you can find the oven you had. th-cam.com/video/_LjVHDiEZ4w/w-d-xo.html
I wonder why he didnt flip the cakes over so they were in correct orientation and would be easier to frost Lol, jsut something i noticed. Still love the videos though!
My 500 dollar bike was stolen today. Guy took off lock and all with it.... today has sucked. And i gotta say Lucky, you are the bright part of my days sometimes. Thankyou for that.
the cakes turned out really pretty! a random question i have-- you own so many different rare, vintage ovens and other food making kits, i was wondering if theres one you own that you're super proud of? like any that took ages to find, that are extremely hard to come by, etc? :) and just a personal preference-- i like watching you bake sweets but, i like watching you make like "real" foods more, like the burgers and breakfasts you made! if you could try to do more of those that would be cool! but either way, i'll watch :D
i like both ovens, though i think i prefer the electric? not sure. I did do the poll, but omw i would love to see the holly hobby. i LOVE wood stoves and, i know it isn't, but it looks a lot like one =) thank you
I just realized what gels instantly at room temperature in that grainy-looking way is probably ground psyllium seed, like they use in Metamucil. I bet a tablespoon of Metamucil powder and a tablespoon of water will give you a similar "gummy candy" texture if you ever wanted to make it for other play foods. Maybe a drop of red food coloring too would help.
interesting lil oven. odd how this is from 1968 cause in 1969 topper would try to compete with the growing die cast car market with some what rip off's of Hot Wheels from Mattel with more flashy cars.
I know it's an old comment but I just hate how companies are too "careful" with their toys. No one likes a lawsuit but they're too afraid at this point.
I have many suzy homemaker toys! My grandaughters love theses. I treat these toys like gold! There from the mid- 1960s!!💖💖
I had that oven- used it for years, until I was old enough (and tall enough) to use the real oven. This video gave me such nostalgia!
Glad you liked it!
