Thank you for making this video. My mom bought me one of these when I was 7 for Christmas 1969. I loved it and the little cakes I baked in it. Thank you for reminding me of those memories. I enjoyed your video. You are enjoying the process and explain everything very well. I love your genuine and positive attitude.
The feature of using the plug pins to unlock the oven door is slick and clever!!!A simple interlock to prevent the oven from running with the door open.
LOL , Grrrrreat looking Tony The Tiger icing drawing!! Very cute. Watching this video made me remember when I was younger I had bought a Tony The Tiger coloring book at a yard sale that I really enjoyed coloring in.
i too believe that there is no wrong way to do things. if it's safe, not harming yourself/others, and you're satisfied w the end result you can do things however you like. for everyone!!
I got the medium sized oven when I was real young. I don't know why I never wore it out! Years later when my nieces we're old enough they used it too. Same thing with my niece's son. But, when I moved I sold it to a woman who said that her granddaughter would love it. I hope she does. I found out that a person can find all of the supplies and baking mixes on Amazon. I sure loved my oven!
Treacherous Unicorn You mean the pink riddle atrocities girls are stuck with now? Ugh I agree. The great thing about these sets then and a lot of the girl toys in that era was the didn't have to be glittzy and girly to be a girls toys although I do know boys played with these too another reason they could actually be for both.
My piping skills are about the same as your’s so don’t worry. It’s always nice to be able to laugh at yourself though! I can bake like a pro, but decorating is not part of my forte haha.
I am 55. My sister and I had this oven. One day we didn't have any mix to bake anything. We decided to try to make popcorn in the oven. We used popcorn that was packed in oil that was sold in a corncob shaped bottle. We thought in wouldn't pop, but it did, and it got on the light bulb of the oven and short circuited the oven! Years after when we became adults. . We told our mother what happened and why the oven stopped working. She was so mad!!!
Wow, holy cow, i didn't know that you were going to eat it!!! I thought you were just going to show it, like you said earlier!! Oh boy, i hope that stuff doesn't get you sick!
I'm going to have to see if you have a Suzy homemaker washing machine. It's before my time, but I don't think any working kitchen toys can compare to Suzy homemaker! I've never seen the fridge.......
I love your videos; I think I'm addicted to them! I was wondering if you might be able to help me with something related to them. In this one you show the different sizes. I did a bit of research and one article I read said that in some of the Suzy line, three sizes were available. I have just bought a 1964 Suzy doll, she's 21" and I wondered if you could suggest which size of items would be best to go with her? I've seen a washing machine but need to know what measurements I should be looking out for. Can you help at all?
+NotMostGirls American girl dolls are 18". I would stay close to that in finding items. If you check out my mini food channel, that is close to the right scale.
hey LPS Dave, a suggestion for you. Do you think using a mini powdered sugar sifter on the mixes would help with lumps? I have used them before and found it made a difference
