  • Just a quick overview of how I wash my bike. I know there are many ways of doing it, but this is just the best way for me in my situation.

    Hand wash at home with a garden hose, bucket of soapy car wash, microfiber towel. Use a brush on the wheels and rims. Dry it with a Leaf Blower and chamois, then use a good quality Spray wax on the surfaces. I have always used WD-40 to clean and lube my chain. Works great and you can buy it anywhere in different sizes. It does not harm the O-rings.

    Nice looking bike. I clean the tires with vinegar and water solution. 50/50

    Great video! Wish it existed when I first started out, lol. Your bike's manual should have the scheduled maintenance noted by mileage (including chain care). Mine says every 300 miles for clean/lube, assuming it's not getting gunked up. For cleaning, I use the "foaming brush" option at the car wash, but I only use the brush to dispense the foam and then use my own cloth/sponge to do the cleaning. I found that the foam rather than regular soap got my bike looking cleaner with less effort. Any dirty spots still showing after a good wash I'll spray with Muc-Off (especially the rims), that stuff eats grime for breakfast. I've never used tire-cleaner, when I asked the guy at the local shop about it he told me just to hit the tire with high pressure water if necessary or risk busting my ass right out of the gate.

      Yea thats what mine says too. Crazy cuz that’s about how much I put on in a week. Or really close to it. That’s a good idea about the brush to get the soap from. Ima check that out

      @@CityNinja650 That makes sense then! I'm a weekend warrior, so I don't put nearly that many miles on mine. I've put maybe 600 miles on it so far this year.

    They had 2 bikes in stock and when I went to buy my 2023 650. Your paint scheme and the metallic graphene steel/ebony. I was mind F####D on which color to get 😂. That pearl is 🔥 I just figured we can always wrap it😉

      They were not sure if they were gonna get mine in or not. All they knew is they were getting one and that was it I had the same mentality regardless, I was gonna wrap it. Lol. Love white bikes. They just pop

    I dont know if this is still relevant for you but regarding chain cleaner and lubricant id recommend the videos from Fortnine for a better idea of what should be used. I dont have a bike but Ipone chain cleaner is the best based on his results and regular gear oil should be used to lube the chain. Ipone is a little pricey but it works the best and gear oil should be mentioned in the bike's manual. To each their own though, you work with what you got. Good thing kawasakis can handle a beating lol

      Yea after this I got a good system going. I live fortnine definitely one of my go to channels for real in depth stuff. That’s where I went for good tire videos too. Real good stuff

    What do you use for chain lube? Couldn't see the label when you showed it. I have yet to lube mine even though I've had it for about 3 weeks. Only have 50 miles on it and haven't ridden in rain. I know I need to start that though.

    • @CityNinja650
      @CityNinja650  ปีที่แล้ว

      Right now I’m just using regular lube. It’s called MPPL (yellow can) got it from Amazon for the mini bike and just using it till it’s gone. I wanna find a good one to use as well. This isn’t bad and if I’m being honest I probably couldn’t tell the difference between this and something else. I need to do some research on good lube

    Step one…DO MOT USE PRESSURE WASHER. 😂I MEAN I might use light pressure for on top of the exhaust bc it gets a lot of gunk on it but you have to be very careful using pressure. Just my own opinion. Everybody’s got theirs.

      I dropped mine too, twice now. Luckily just minor scratches on left faring nothing major. Gonna make a video soon on what caused me to drop it and how to prevent in the future as could have easily been prevented knowing what I know now. Been riding the 650 about 2 months now, transitioned from dirtbikes but LOTS of differences.
      Also, I got chain lube. Haven’t used any yet but it’s due as was just washed. No rear stand yet are you just rolling and spraying with some cardboard or protection from overspray? Or you get a stand?
      Btw, Great vids my dude keep up the good work!

      @@Ninja_On_Wheelz appreciate that. I actually just made a video about how I clean mine too lol. No stand. But spray, move forward, spray. I use my rag to guard the over spray. I need a stand bad lol. It would have made my oil change so much easier.

      @@Ninja_On_Wheelz I Have you're exact bike as well. Bought it 2 months ago. Went on a night ride and dropped it coming to a stop on the right. Worse thing is that there was no damage until I panicked trying to pick it up and dropped it on the left! So stupid. Had to repair my stator cover and had someone repaint the left fairing. Sucks with owning a motorcycle as I guess like everyone says its not if but when u drop..... Haven't rode since this happened a month ago as I am a little leery now....
