MORE MOTORCYCLE DETAILING CONTENT PLEASE. Caps intentional... this was awesome. Personally, I enjoy cleaning my Aprilia even more than my car or van. Do you have any videos detailing a sport bike? A couple times a year, I go so far as to strip off the fairings, and remove the wheels to give my bike a crazy deep clean.
This is perfect timing. I have a friend's Harley FLHTKL Limited to do a full detail & coating next weekend. I have a few ?'s... 1. After pre-soak with All-Clean and rinse, I'm thinking that your Rinsless, sprayed out of a foam sprayer, would get in between the engine fins and crevices better than the incredible suds foam would. What do you guys think? Rinseless or foam it? 2. Is your DIY Coating heat resistant to where I can install it on headers and chrome exhaust pipes? 3. Will it even bond well to chrome with chrome not being porous like clear is? 4. Without a door jamb to take a paint depth gauge reading, how can one estimate the amount of microns of clear are avail. on tank & other paint. 5. If it has the rear trunk & hard side bags, what's the best way to coat the trunk, remove it, or leave it on?
Great video! I’m getting ready to my best friend’s 120th anniversary edition Harley, full clean and ceramic! I wonder if MJJC would make a limited edition incredible suds logo foam cannon?! 😊 Another idea how to clean an e-bike? Ty as always!
Last question on spraying ceramic, I promise. 😄 When sprayed, will the coating (metal or regular) self-level? Can I spray it with my airbrush and leave it on the fins and hard to reach chrome parts and leave to dry, self-level, without wiping? I would still be hand applying as usual to the larger reachable parts. Thanks for all your advice as I wrap up my first Harley correction & coating.
I wouldn’t spray a coating unless you’re wearing a full PPE suit, and in a paint booth. Coatings are easily absorbed into the skin. When I see videos of Detailers applying coatings with a cheap mask, in short sleeves I feel sorry for them, it’s a very real health risk when they are atomized so finely. For the engine etc, apply DIY Detail Quick Beads everytime you wash. Yvan
@DIY Detail I do have all the necessary PPE, including the suit with hood and commercial quality, OSHA approved, 3M dual cartridge respirator & goggles/gloves. I'm only spraying the main block area in under a minute, but yes, I will be fully protected. So in my situation, can you still let me know if your metal coating will self-level after spraying or need wiped? 🤔 I hold you & DIY Detail harmless and assume & accept full responsibility for my actions & alternative application of the product. 🤓
Well Ivan , im inpressed. But a black out HD is so easy to clean. Maybe take it to the next level and detail a Chromed bike like a boxer engine, that is very difficult to clean…👍🏽
So did y’all use r/o water for the whole detail or just to rinse off the quick beads, with the pressure washer what kind of water did y’all use regular ?
I just came across this video. I've been using their techniques to detail my scooter. I think they should do a video washing a scooter. Their techniques and products are very versatile.
What a great video! Really loved how you explained every step, in detail. I wanted your opinion on ACF-50. I have seen some videos using it as a last step for rust prevention. Also, you mentioned not to get quick beads on the seat, do we also need to avoid the breaks with this particular product? Many Thanks
I have a bottle of your Metal ceramic coating on its way to coat paint & chrome on a 2015 Harley Limited. I've seen others (DPC) spray their ceramic coating using a gravity fed, air brush sprayer with a .5mm or 1mm tip to get in-between all the cooling fins & engine nooks & crannies. Can I do the same with your Metal ceramic & would I need to wipe between all the fins to level or just leave it? All the other larger areas I would apply by hand applicator & level as usual. And being only driven during summer months in OH, could he realistically expect 4+ yrs. coating longevity with proper care? Thanks for all your help & awesome products!

Nice video, thanks. What is a good method or product to keep seat soft and pliable. Seat on my bike is has some sections that are stiff and I found small tear on a seam. I saw some recommendations online to rub on mineral oil to soften vinyl.
Just a bit of a tip. Most open filters on harleys come with a rain sock. Next time use that to better protect to filter. It should withstand the force of a waterhose but not anything more powerful than that.

Motorcycle stereos and speakers aren’t typically “marine grade”. Be as careful with audio/visual/dash/ control components as air cleaner. Pressure washers operate at a bit higher pressure than rain water hitting a bike.

ACF 50 is for corrosion on electrical components. DIY Detail Quick Beads is fine on brakes, the first few seconds of application wears it off.
