    I'm just now finding this but I literally just bought the same bike with plans to build it and finding you has been so immensely helpful

      Thanks man! It's a really cool bike so you will enjoy it, I haven't done an update on mine in a while because I have been busy with a lot of projects all vying for my attention, but I will be updating you all with new videos on it soon and focusing on finishing it within the next few months 👍

    Looks good so far
    HT\\LL. I'm enjoying the different camera angles I find it difficult to critique this kind art ("art I like" . 🤣😂😅). This is a very interesting build. Thank you man... 👍

    The build is really coming along now I think for me I would put on the scrambler style handlebars on the bike only because i have back pains plus i like to sit in a raised position and they'd look good 👍🏾

    • @hightech-lowlife
      @hightech-lowlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man!! I totally get it, that riding position is undoubtedly so much more comfortable than the leaned over position, but to me it doesn't look as cool and I'm willing to sacrifice it for that (at least for now 😂) Thanks for watching!

    Excellent work as usual, I am inspired to do one day soon do something similar, we just have to work out how to make alternative fuel now ! cooking oil or maybe water

    • @hightech-lowlife
      @hightech-lowlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man! You should totally do it. I'm confident we will have alternative fuels in the future (cold fusion maybe), plus battery tech will be making leaps and bounds as well. Might even be able to run indefinitely off solar energy as things scale and get more efficient and more energy dense 👍

    Rad man , dont stress on the welds ...they stuck and dont break right ? Thats the main thing to worry about.

    • @hightech-lowlife
      @hightech-lowlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks man!! I just see all these people laying down things that look like absolute jewelry and I see how far I need to go 😂 Oh yeah stuck like crazy, I have the hardest time even dealing with tacks, trying to tweak things banging them with a hammer and won't budge - so fully welded out, it's strong. 👍🍻

    Always love your videos. You’re pretty much doing things I hope to do one day. I’m not always great at responding to reply comments because I get like this weird reply back to people anxiety. However, keep up the good work! Also, in my mind I also over complicate things but I feel like we that do this tend to look at the big picture of things. It’s like “what if I want to remove this later on or add something to it later. How much of a pain in the ass will it be?” Lol might as well do the hard work in the beginning than to have to damn destroy the whole project later on to remove one part lol

    • @hightech-lowlife
      @hightech-lowlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much for watching and commenting man, much appreciated. You don't have to respond as I'm kind of the same way, I try my best to respond to everyone that leaves a comment, but sometimes I honestly don't know what to say to people. I'm always overcomplicating things, I know that simple designs are almost always better, but there is something about the building process that if it's more complicated then it's more interesting to me. Oh yeah, I've made a lot of things before where I was kicking myself for not making it easier to get access or take things apart, so I try to foresee what could be an issue down the line, but I don't always get it right the first time 👍Thanks man!!

    • @En3rgyLee
      @En3rgyLee 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hightech-lowlife I’m glad I am not the only one lol I too over complicate things. My mind does a spider web thing. It goes from one idea and then it breaks the idea into little miniature parts almost like connecting the dots and you’re welcome. I’ll always tune in for some good builds. That is good that you try to foresee the issue because breaking down a build after you’re almost finish sucks! Also, I have my welder but I haven’t been practicing where do you mostly get your metal from for projects? Home Depot and lowes is kinda pricey for some metals and they may not always have what you need.

    • @hightech-lowlife
      @hightech-lowlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@En3rgyLee Yeah, that's how my mind is too, always fragmenting things into smaller pieces! Thanks for watching and following along on these longer builds, much appreciated. For practicing you can use just about any scrap metal you can find, I usually just get metal from local hardware stores, but it is a lot more expensive than it used to be. The two larger tubes on this bike came out to be like $60 which is crazy to me, but if you order online with shipping it's about the same. The pandemic really inflated material prices (and everything else). Just get what you can or find and keep practicing, you will get better the more you do it!

    I think I would have scrambler style handlebars on your bike only because I have back pains plus I like that style

    • @hightech-lowlife
      @hightech-lowlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah those are cool as well and much more comfortable, just not as fitting with the style for this build, but depending on how comfortable it is I may change up the bars later 👍

      @@dubbleA100 Are you looking for the template file for the laser cut parts, or the 3D model?
      I completely overbuilt this thing, and if I were going to do it again I would simplify it a lot. Not only for ease of building it, but also be cheaper and much lighter.

    The guy on the chopper with the ape bars couldn't control his steering as good as you so he couldn't lane split I've never Understood ape handlebars why would you have your hands above your head I don't know why the movie was called easy rider because it doesn't look easy 🤔

    • @hightech-lowlife
      @hightech-lowlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah same here, I think for that it's all about style because there is no way that is good for comfort nor performance, I think aesthetics should only be sought after to a degree, at some point if it's all form and no function then that's where I start to draw the line. If other people like it and think it's cool then that's good for them, but for me personally not a fan 👍I've never even seen Easy Rider but I know it's a cultural icon of a movie, I should check it out.
