Generational first episode. They nailed everything from the animation and OP to the voice cast. Turbo granny sharing the same voice as luffy just fits so well knowing the type of things she says and does in the manga

Saw this in the theater when they had the 3 episode premiere.
Never heard of the manga when I went to see this. Really solid episode - quick pace and we got a lot of background stories of our two main leads.

Science Saru is the PERFECT studio to animate Dandadan. I cannot wait for episode two. To see so much love and passion for Yukinobu Tatsu's incredible series on display has me feeling like a kid on Christmas. Here's to hoping the series takes off so more people get to experience REAL SHOUNEN!!!

Hell yeah this is the vibe I thought it would be, kinda has that FLCL feeling in real time and im here for it. Finally hearing their voices and music so far, felt the same way about OPM and Mob the first time seeing them animated. We waited for this for awhile, he here now 🔥😤
LOVE the FLCL comparison! It definitely gives off a similar energy to that series and its one I really enjoyed as well. So happy to see Dandadan get the perfect start to its anime adaptation 🙏
Hey Laz. Found your channel with your JJK manga reactions (Currently at JJK 190 so 81 chapters left for me). I've read the first 5 arcs of Dandadan up to Ch 62 so I'm well behind on current manga but I'll be able to watch Season 1 knowing all the fun stuff coming. This first ep was so good and a great adaptation of Chapter 1. Science Saru are killing it with the animation. Hearing Luffy as Turbo Granny was bizarre and hilarious (i'm currently going through One Piece using One Pace). Can't wait for more Dandadan craziness next week.

i love Okarun's run in the opening he has the goofy Devilman Crybaby run lol, episode was everything i'd hoped for and more absolutely PEAK!

couldnt have asked for a better adaptation so far. if they can keep the quality of the first few eps up the whole time we are in for a generational run. Btw Laz idk if ive heard you mention it but have you read Kengan Asura?
Same if the quality can stay consistent the entire way this will be an all time run. I've read a bit of Kengan Asura but wasn't really feeling it that much to stay up to date with it sadly.
