  • Hi Kindred Spirits,
This video was fun to make! I just talked to the camera like you were right in front of me and it felt so easy!
In today's video, I show you my perfume collection, talk about the fragrance notes and share some memories with you because after all, fragrance IS a memory keeper...
I hope you enjoy watching/listening as much as I enjoyed making it for you.
Have a good sleep and as always,
    Thank you for watching!
    xoxo,
    Lindy

I love how you share little pieces of your life with us here in the ASMR community... thank you!! My current, favorite perfume is Dolce by Dolce & Gabana. My signature fragrance, from age 16 til now (almost 52), is Paris by YSL. My Momma never sold Avon, but she sure bought a good bit of it. I have such fond memories of her getting her Avon order in, the crisp white paper bag, and all her little goodies. ❤

Oh! That is so wonderful that you've had a signature fragrance since you were 16. I am writing down the fragrances that you mentioned, so that i can sample them the next time I am at the store. I am always looking for a new fragrance.
      I love your Avon memory.
Thank you very much for watching and taking the time to leave such a fun comment!

My mom just passed away from an 11 year cancer battle. She was diagnosed at 45, I was 16. She passed in February. Immediately after her passing I was reminiscing on my childhood and I remembered how in the summer time we would drive through the park with the windows down and she would have her warm vanilla sugar hand sanitizer from bath and body works and it would make the entire car smell good. I recently bought the old warm vanilla sugar from bath and body works on eBay and every time I smell it, it feels like she’s right here with me. It’s so special and feels like a hug from my mom.❤️ I loved this video so much, it was so comforting. Thank you for sharing bits of your life with us Lindy🙂

I am so sorry to hear about that. It is devastating to lose your Mama.
The warm vanilla sugar scent combined with the visual of you two driving with the windows down was a lovely memory and I am so grateful that you shared it with us.
I'm sending you a big hug, dear one!

Hello! Just found your channel. I love the stories you share! ❤️ For me, there are some scents that I will always associate with people I love. My grandfather smoked a pipe, and he would always have a zip leather pouch full of cherry tobacco. It isn't common for people to smoke pipes today, so when I smell that sweet, unsmoked tobacco scent, it immediately takes me back. My grandmother used an Estee Lauder body powder all her life, so when I smell that, which also only happens once in a blue moon because people don't body powder anymore, it takes me to thoughts of her. My mom always has had Jovan Musk among her fragrances, and when I smell that, I think of her. ❤ Thank you again for sharing your stories!

Another great video! I agree that certain smells can really bring back memories. I’m more of a scented body lotion person than actual perfume. I love the Fall scents since it’s my favorite time of year. I have to say my biggest smell trigger is cutting into a cucumber. I know it’s odd but for some reason it takes me back to being little, getting off the school bus and walking into my house with my mom canning pickles or tomatoes. I sure miss those days.

Lindy!! I love any scent or fragrance video and this was great - I love your stories.
I did not know that it was my perfume leaving those grease marks on my shirts (I’ve been blaming our washing machine lol - I do know how to fix it after the fact. Put any powder (I use baby powder) on the grease marks and leave it for a few days and then wash it - they usually come out.
Sweet honesty was my first perfume! I have an old Avon bottle shaped line a telephone, I also collect avon men’s cologne bottles if they are shaped like pipes.

Great video! I have never tried any of the Tom Ford fragrances, but I will look into it the next time I'm at the department store. As for my favorites fragrances: in my late late 20's I loved wearing spicy scents such as Opium (YSL) and Cinnabar (Estee Lauder), and now that I'm over 60 I wear Wood Sage & Sea Salt (Jo Malone), Cool Water (Davidoff) and Chanel #5. Each of the perfumes/colognes that I have worn throughout the years have each had special memories,

Hey Girl!!! Loved this content. Fragrance is one of my passion’s I wish I could elaborate more but unfortunately, I am having blood work done today due to my facial issue, but I have to say sweet honesty was a perfume I wore as little child and I wore that all the way up until I was 19 years old, my aunt used to buy it for me. I should not have been wearing fragrance to school for sure like second third grade all the way through and then at 19. I started wearing Aromatics elixir by Clinique my signature fragrance for many years. But since I work for that company for a long time, they did change the formula so I don’t buy it often anymore and still have not found a signature fragrance so I’ve been actually using sweet honesty again, but I have to buy so many of them because it’s a cologne and it doesn’tlast, but I know a lot about fragrances attended Manny classes on it and launched many perfumes over the years and men’s fragrances and I wanted to share it with you but unfortunately I can’t do it today due to these tests. I hope you have a great weekend and thank you thoroughly enjoyed your collection of perfumes and I know all of them, though I have not tried Tom Ford fragrances the only thing I have tried is Louis Vuitton that was a gift, but I’m wasn’t too crazy about it so I’m still looking for that perfect fragrance since they changed the formula of Aromatics Elxir. Don’t get me wrong aromatic still smells pretty much the same but not exactly the same and if you wear for years, you know it and it’s sad but nothing you can do about ingredients that can no longer use I’ve been hunting down my signature fragrance for the last eight years and still can’t find one that I find suitable. Oh well they’ll make one soon ❤❤❤❤❤Hugs Esme’ you are always so so sweet Lindy☮️✌️🫶

Oh my goodness, I remember aromatics elixir! That was so good! I didn’t realize they changed the formula. It’s been a long time since I wore it.
I hope your blood work gives you some answers!
I was just speaking to a friend of mine last week who sold everything and moved onto a houseboat with her husband. She had an extreme case of rosacea, but after being on the boat for a year, it’s completely gone away, along with many other health issues.
She thinks it’s the salt water and the sunshine that helped her skin.🌸

    • @Esme0285
      @Esme0285 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@@Southernladyasmr Lindy. Funny you say that about the salt water? I have literally been considered driving down to the shore. Going into the ocean and keeping my clothes on because it’s still very cold. Of course I would look crazy. It would be very cold to get into saltwater in the ocean up here. The only thing stopping me is because I know people will think I’m crazy and also I don’t like going into the ocean up here because you can’t see it the bottom at all it’s not like it is down in Florida. Jersey if you ever been to the shore here you can’t see anything so it scares me I have not been in the ocean up here in many years. I figure I’d be OK if I left my clothes on and went into my waist and just like put my head under the water but I guess I have to stay in it pretty long so it is kind of a crazy idea but I am so desperate I was getting and am getting desperate. My dad use to tell us as kids go into the ocean it helps many ailments. If we had poison ivy etc.
I am afraid that they were going to put me on Accutane. Everything read about Accutane scares me because there’s so many side effects and I after being on medication and antibiotics for four months and no change. I’m thinking what is gonna do to my body I am literally thinking about stop eating altogether and drinking liquid food like ensure or something in the realm of something like that with a meal to give you just the vitamins and minerals you need to survive because I’m scared it could be something I’m eating you know and I don’t know. 🤷‍♀️. The dr is going to do a number of biopsies again on Wednesday when I went to the hospital yesterday and I saw my face out in the sun with no make up on. I couldn’t believe how bad it actually is because when you’re inside your house , you don’t get that really bright sun. It got me so depressed. I had to come right back home. I’m wondering if fractional laser was dirty and they hadn’t cleaned it well and also broke down and they had to restart it’s funny the way this rash is going is right where they started the laser across my forehead down the left side of my face And then itbroke for a few minutes. They couldn’t get the machine to work and it finally started up again. It seems like the laser wasn’t as strong as when they started.she swears that’s not true but at this point I don’t care I just want to get rid of it, is destroying my life. Not being able to do anything for a year and a half is a big chunk out of your life that you’re never get back, but I don’t know what else to do. I guess the reason why I’m telling you because I know you understand and a lot of people don’t they just look look at you like oh, you don’t take care of your face and I feel like people saying, I don’t take care of my face I taking care of my face and I was young. I started using oil of Olay like sixth grade and I used to slug with Vaseline at that young age not knowing what it was called. I just used to do it and then I switch to the three step program by Clinique when I got my first job after I got out of school people has nothing to do with the way you take care of your face because there is nobody that took care of their faces as good as I did because I went to school for first when I first got out of high school anyway have a great day!!! 💛🌻💛 it was great hearing from you. I can’t believe you you use aromatics elixir. It’s not as popular as it was in fact I didn’t really know about it until I work for the company because they only sold one perfume at the time, but it did become my favorite sense and it’s very hard to get a scent like that, it was a very distinct smell, but I still have a half a bottle sitting here on my vanity and I still use it occasionally what I can tell you is that I used to get a lot of compliments on it and it doesn’t smell the same anymore so people don’t even notice it Was that kind of fragrance that people know what I’m gonna find but I have not found anything I really like…. take care. Have a good weekend with your family.💛🌻💛
Ps. Once again delete some of the words out of it. I dictated it and I don’t wanna keep having to edit it. I know you’ll get what I’m trying to say.

Hi Lindy. I also love the scent of sandalwood, although funny enough I don't think that any of my fragrances contain it. 🤔☺️ I remember when the avon lady would come to my Mama's house and show her the latest in makeup samples and leave the newest avon book to peruse through. Very warm memories.
One of my go to fragrances is 360° by Perry Ellis, it's a soft, fresh out of the shower scent. I, like you have several scents that depending on the mood, I like to change it up.
I love the story about how and when you met your husband. My story of how I met my husband is very similar (we met at the age of 14), similar with a few added twists. 😉 We have now been together for 34 years and even more in love with each other.
