I read in the book "There Was A Country" by Chinua Achebe that Nzeogwu was against the secession and Ojukwu knew it that he even asked him not to participate in the war against Nigeria, that he didn't need his help. Nzeogwu as narrated in the book secretly was participating without Ojukwu's knowledge with some few soldiers which included Ojukwu's half brother who also died in the same Bedford as Nzeogwu on the same day.
I hate it when history is distorted deliberately. -The Asaba màssssacre as they call it has nothing to do with Murtala. It was Ibrahim Taiwo's battalion which was under Murtala's division that did the alleged masssssacre. The soldiers under Taiwo went berserk but until Murtala's intervention that it stopped -You should also talk about how Murtala saved Nzeogwu's mother from same soldiers of the same Taiwo's battalion
Ojukwu was afraid of Nzeogwu that was also why he ban him from getting along with any troops. Remember while in prison Nzeogwu wrote a letter to Obasanjo (Obasanjo was his best friend in the army) revealing to Obasanjo that Ojukwu has deprived him of any military duties. He also said in his letter that Ojukwu fears he might turned his soldiers against him and conduct a mutiny to remove him just like he did in north. The Nzeogwu led coup was tagged 'Igbo coup' to cause more divisions and crisis among the north/west and the eastern regions. If Nzeogwu sees himself as a traitor of the north because of his coup, why would Gowon gave him a full military burial rite ? Not that he gave him a full military rite but Nzeogwu was buried in the middle of the war. There are something more of Nzeogwu that we didn't know. During my researchs, i found out that Nzeogwu discovered an allerged "jihad' planned by the sultan, Ahmadu Bello. Sources claimed the seat of prime minister, Tafewa Balewa was being controlled by Bello so there plans was to islamise the country and with the chaos going already in the west. What i have failed to put together was how Nzeogwu really died, there are so many controversial claims surrounding his death. And who possibly might kill him or set him up. Ojukwu foiled his coup in the east but why ? I understand he tried to protect his own brothers and had them transferred to the eastern region but there's more to it tho Keep the good work going brother ❤

Ahmadu Bello planned a Jihad and Major General Chris Ali a former COAS from Kogi State wrote it in his book entitled FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIAN ARMY page 165. Ohanaeze used this book as evidence in Oputa Panel. Read Ahmadu Bello's interview with the Parrot on 12th October, 1960 just 11 days after assuming power which he exercises through his puppet Tafawa Balewa. Ahmadu Bello was a very wicked man which was why Aminu Kano so much despised him and formed another party NEPU. The North jubilated when he was killed and that was why General Gowon gave Nzeogwu a befitting full military honorary burial in the same town Kaduna of his birth and where he killed AhmaduBello@@khalidbashir4017
