That is pretty steep. I hope motion capture becomes more accessible in the future. It should progress at the same rate as vfx.

So when is 343 hiring you for some animation projects
They just doubled the price for the motion cloud monthly subscription so they made it even less accessible. 500$ per month to export a .fbx file is insane.

Hey man. Your video convinced me to buy a Xsens system, the Awinda starter. Whilst waiting for delivery of the system, they jacked the $250 price to $500, and actually very recently axed the Monthly Subscription plan to a 3-Month plan at over 1500$. I later checked back on this video and noticed you're a Movella affiliate with a link making me believe you get a favored rate for the suit as opposed to consumers. I understand you aren't the company but I really feel like you should post an updated review based off of these new developments. I'm hoping I can even return the thing now lol otherwise I just wasted a bunch of money.

I used a Rokoko Smart Suit Pro II for the entirety of my Titanfall series. Absolutely love what it has to offer. I definitely put it through the ringer on that project but the fact that it survived is a testament to its durability. Really want to get around to using the Xsens one day!

this is super true, Xsens is REALLY awesome but SOOOO expensive man I hope they have like idk at least 1k for the whole package like a simple base level package? then I could probably save up and get one myself that would be fun!
Man. I just wish I had the $$$ for this. Because I’ve wanted to get into making my own Halo content for a bit now, because Microsoft and the TV series refuse to make anything that actually resembles Halo. Got the whole timeline written out, characters, places, the whole nine years. Basically everything short of a script. But because I don’t have the money to do mocap or pay people for 3D models and voice acting, I can’t actually take the next step.
Maybe one day I’ll have enough resources to start making my dreams a thing, but for now, it’s pretty cool to see someone else realize his.

On the very low end you have laser tracked VR. So a handful of vive trackers and headset and controller. Still going to be spending between $1,000 and $2,000 but at least there's no subscription cost.

It has been a while since he announced it but animations take a long time, but the longer you wait the better the animation is.

Be patient bro. A high quality animation takes time. He’s one guy, working with limited time and resources. So cut the man a bit of slack.
