This show doesn't need to be picked up, it needs to be fully rebooted. The show is far to damaged to be salvaged with what has been done. We need a fresh start and creators that actually respect the universe
He’s the director and writer of the dark knight series along with his brother on the writing team. He writes for most of his projects too so having him run a Halo project would be amazing.
They did really showed us a Master Cheeks that gets pain just for sitting on a rock, not a supersoldier, not even an introvert soldier with a stoic philosophy that silently takes off from his few flashbacks of emotion from his childhood.
When the Halo show got canceled I looked back and thought about just starting over. Simple ideas filled my mind as I thought of just starting at the literal start of the Human v Covenant war. Start with Harvest! This will easily be able to bring in new audience members and old! Make a Reach esk story! Build up Master Chief showing up in his Mark V armor. Take a few episodes to build the world. I mean I'm just spitballing here, I really enjoyed the Halo:Contact Harvest book. Who knows those are my thoughts on what they can do.
What kind of blackmail material does 343 have to keep the studio open? Cause better studios, like the one for High Fi-Rush, get closed down for less then what they have done...
Nolan if he gets it should reboot it and actually adapt the games and books. Start with Contact Harvest then to Fall of Reach, then to Flood, then First Strike, then 2, then 3 with spinoffs of Cole Protocol, Onyx, and ODST. If Disney picks it up, it will get MUCH worse!!! See Star Wars for example.
Yeah idk about Disney owning the Halo IP, as Disney have quite the monopoly already owning Fox, Marvel, Star Wars, do they really need to own Halo next? I don’t think so.
Christopher or Jonathan or both the Nolan bros can do Halo justice. Especially Jonathan as he already done Westworld and that show was great when it came to its sci-fi elements with bringing personalities to other characters, such as non-humans.
@@BIGBASSSAMA_4 well the elite armor designs were kinda of ugly they all had that old outdated look and not the cool looking high tech armor they should be wearing all the other covenant does look good tho
It seems like to me at least, the actor who was chosen to play chief was under the impression that chief and John are two different people, and he was playing John and not the master chief, even though John is the master Chief.
I don't know if Halo can recover between the TV series and infinite. That was a pretty bad blow. Kind of along the lines of don't meet your heroes. But a lot of people poo poo Halo 4 but to be honest that had more heart and quality acting that I really appreciated. And a story like that was necessary because rampancy was already introduced in the Halo universe in the earlier novels so it had to be addressed and I think they did really good with it. But then there was Halo 5 and infinite and the TV show... I'm going to call Halo 4 the last one.
It’s literally so easy to do halo right, it blows my mind how they fuck it up. YOU DONT EVEN NEED THE MAIN CHARACTER TO DISPLAY A SINGLE EMOTION. OTHER THAN CONFIDENCE BORDERING ON ARROGANCE. Cortana: what if you miss Chief: I WONT. ITS SOOO FUCKING EASY. It’s all military jargon and bad ass one liners, laced with sci fi lore. NOTHING MORE. The whole plot could’ve been summed up actually by 1 line in 4. 4 wasn’t that good of a game, compared to the first 3 but 1 line from it from cortana does sum up the plot of those games “It’s getting harder to tell which of us is actually the machine”
As much as I love Denis Villeneuve, I don‘t think his type of filmmaking will please the „average gamer“ tuning in. Which MIGHT result in the show not being successfull regarding the raw numbers, resulting in an early cancellation.
Its so good it was cancelled. What we really wanted was a live action version of the Halo games like does anyone remember the live action odst trailer are the reach live action trailer because they were epic and that is what we want like i honestly would love to see that sort if series. Like imagine seeing a live action pillar of autumn are in amber clad are even UNSC infinity that would be so amazing. I do hope that if there is ever another Halo series that it is completely based on the games and books nothing else !!
I'm so happy someone put a stop to this I'm more happy it's gone then it started, and I've played halo my whole life first game I remember is CE one of my earliest memories
Forward Unto Dawn got MC right and the vibe and the budget itself was nowhere near that price. Bring that team back to make the right HALO. Get Neil Blomkamp.
There was that one Halo film , Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, that I remember watching when I first fell in love with Halo back in like... 2015 or something. The actual film released or whatever was released back in 2012, according to the Wiki. That film seems to be more Halo like than the Halo TV show.
I think what happened was that the writers , show runners and everyone that was involved in the decision making thought they could do Halo better than bungie and 343. They wanted to stand on the shoulders of others and be like “ we did that; that’s our halo”
Considering how trash netflix disney and Paramount have made shows with the budget of more than 50 percent of the countries in the world I have no faith in them whatsoever
I don’t want season 3. I want a proper reboot series or movie. I hope Christopher Nolan can helm it. If no they should bring back Peter Jackson, Alex Garland and Neil Blomkamp to do it
Neil and Nolan and jj Abrams all make a lot of sense. I think Spielberg had involvement on the original project and Ridley Scott got so fed up and just did the solo project. Similar guys worked on fall of reach. All of that would be with keeping to the original project that was canceled because they couldn’t decide on rights agreements. But Chris Nolan would be a dream come true. Make Christian bale chief while you’re at it. Give us the halo movie we never got. Chief and Batman aren’t dissimilar. As long as it’s not ruined with DEI it would be as it was always intended.
If Christopher Nolan takes over and does a series or Movie about Halo i would love to see a Series about the ODST we need more stuff about the ODST not only games but a series and a Movie as well.
Highly recommend looking at what HBO is doing or planning on doing with the harry potter books...One season per book show. I have recently read/audio booked the halo books and think they are fantastically written and should be produced as is with the storylines of the games as well that way everything can be done, interwoven, and seasons can be more than 10 episodes long. A military, human, science fiction as it was intended. But do start the series over and properly explain the Spartan program, humanity at this point in time, and John origin and promotion to MC. Thanks!
Halo....with Disney of all things?... Oh Please no. Halo and Star Wars have been in a similar boat for a while. I'd really hate to see it If they actually became in the same boat....
Ngl Nolan would probably make a really cool interpretation of the source material. Say what you will about the man but his attention to detail is exactly what I would love for a halo show or movie. Especially if he tackled reach or even the flood as a main plot.
A fresh start, we can go from the first contact with the covenant. That screw up negotiation plot will be a very good start. The war on Harvest will be the perfect climax for season 1. They don't need Master Chief to carry it at all, Staff Sargant Johnson can do the heavy lifting as the main character and the fans will love it.
I went to ChatGPT and have been making better Halo content, ideas, scenarios, and stories than anything I've seen come out of 343 or the "Halo TV Show". But it'd be great if Christopher Nolan, Blumhouse, Jordan Peele, Zack Snyder, or other director could get a crack at creating Halo content. Create a sort of Elseworld category and let them have at it!
Id be very interested in seeing a Chris Nolan Halo. But, ive never heard of him doing a show. He'll probably be making a film. Then again, a game-based show looks more like a Jonathan Nolan thing.
Have this man make a Landfall or Reach series, even a continuation of FUD. CANON this time. The books and games are literally there. It's like ignoring gold that's right in front of you TvT
Christopher Nolan would be the perfect director. I used to think that Steven Spielberg would be great because he's done plenty of space themed projects. But Christopher Nolan would make the action feel personal, and the camera angle decisions are always fantastic in his films. SAVE HALO please Mr. Nolan!
If Nolan wants to take over, he needs to start from scratch. The human covenant war had a severe dark tone in the books than in games. Nolan can probably bring that live and give justice to the source material...he can use the other directors like Neil Blompkamp and Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro, Steven Speiberg to take in their old original ideas for content. They can just bring back Daniel Cudmore who did forward unto dawn mini series and have him keep his helmet on.
Amazon did great with the Expanse. Halo has some good foundation in the art, design, set pieces, action atc departments. Everything NOT related to story is pretty good. Throw out the writers and people who dont understand halo and treat it like they did fallout and people will be happy. Treat it like a proper military show, imagine band of brothers in Halo. 10 episodes of legendary hugh budget goodness to establish a Halo baseline with chief as we like it. Silent and badass with helmet and armor on. If you want more personal drama make spin offs with ODST soldiers.
If and this is a massive IF, If Chris does indeed decide to do this we need a hard restart, the Fall of Reach needs to be the main focus for season 1 and no skimping out on any details, the juicer the better, hell don’t be afraid to bring Noble Team to the cook out and when season 1 ends it needs to have a cliffhanger showing the Autumn approaching Alpha Halo.

I wouldn't care about money, I wouldn't care if no one liked it, I wouldn't change the source material, I'd make something that Halo fans would love. That's what we deserve, what we need.(I'm totally doing all of this in a few years btw, once I have money to make it, lol)
I'll Finish The Fight, with anyone who wants to help.
NOLAN 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
A Nolan Halo is an exciting prospect.
They did really showed us a Master Cheeks that gets pain just for sitting on a rock, not a supersoldier, not even an introvert soldier with a stoic philosophy that silently takes off from his few flashbacks of emotion from his childhood.
We could have MC as a cameo. Spend more time with ODSTs and marines. We've got tons of lore and can have other Spartans
Do a Contact Harvest movie, if they want a black lead for the "modern audience" then who better then everyone's favorite Master Sargent's origin story
@@Tallacus It even has a spicy scene for the MoDeRn AuDiEnCe
They had the chance to make the greatest sci-fi show in history and they fumbled the ball big time
When the Halo show got canceled I looked back and thought about just starting over.
I'm still stuck in 2007 waiting for a 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞. Why does it always have to be a series? Just make Halo 1, 2, 3 hello??
My man's said he is not done celebrating the cancellation of the show. LMAO. Me neither
Christopher or Jonathan or both the Nolan bros can do Halo justice. Especially Jonathan as he already done Westworld and that show was great when it came to its sci-fi elements with bringing personalities to other characters, such as non-humans.
It does NOT matter who makes a show about an IP. All that matters is sticking to the spirit/ lore of the source material.
The only one who deserves to keeps their job is the CGI artist who worked on the elites and the Covenant overall fire everyone else
And the costume designers for the Spartans
@@BIGBASSSAMA_4 well the elite armor designs were kinda of ugly they all had that old outdated look and not the cool looking high tech armor they should be wearing all the other covenant does look good tho
@@barcelo2304 well the level of realism they made was my favorite part tbh
It seems like to me at least, the actor who was chosen to play chief was under the impression that chief and John are two different people, and he was playing John and not the master chief, even though John is the master Chief.
If he does direct it. He'll probably completely reboot it
I swear we are the luckiest fanbase ever if chris nolan makes our tv show
Oh please God no don’t give it to Disney 😫😫😫😫
I don't know if Halo can recover between the TV series and infinite. That was a pretty bad blow. Kind of along the lines of don't meet your heroes. But a lot of people poo poo Halo 4 but to be honest that had more heart and quality acting that I really appreciated. And a story like that was necessary because rampancy was already introduced in the Halo universe in the earlier novels so it had to be addressed and I think they did really good with it. But then there was Halo 5 and infinite and the TV show... I'm going to call Halo 4 the last one.
honestly, as a halo fan. I don't think they should do halo movies of shows for a while now
All I've ever wanted to see is the Great Schism and battle of High Charity, that's it, I just want more of that chaos.
It’s literally so easy to do halo right, it blows my mind how they fuck it up.
YOU DONT EVEN NEED THE MAIN CHARACTER TO DISPLAY A SINGLE EMOTION. OTHER THAN CONFIDENCE BORDERING ON ARROGANCE.
Cortana: what if you miss
Chief: I WONT.
ITS SOOO FUCKING EASY.
It’s all military jargon and bad ass one liners, laced with sci fi lore. NOTHING MORE.
The whole plot could’ve been summed up actually by 1 line in 4. 4 wasn’t that good of a game, compared to the first 3 but 1 line from it from cortana does sum up the plot of those games
“It’s getting harder to tell which of us is actually the machine”
I think Denis Villeneuve would be an excellent choice for a Halo movie. His work on Dune can translate very well to Halo.
They didn’t read the books. Halo isn’t just a game, it’s a franchise. If they’re not going to play the games, they need to read the books.
Please, please, please! The Halo fans need a W, and I mean NEED
Wtf halo 4's story was amazing and well written... better than H3, definitely not as good as H2
Considering how trash netflix disney and Paramount have made shows with the budget of more than 50 percent of the countries in the world I have no faith in them whatsoever
NO TO DISNEY, PLEASE NO!!!!!
If Bloomkamp is up for it, I would definitely welcome a Nolan Bloomkamp duo!
4:53
I'm gonna have to stop you right there....... when did they write Master Chief well??
Nolan -"Bale, be prepared to use a helmet for very long periods, we are still working on how to make anne translucent".
Imagine if HBO max took halo. We’d get the quality and story we deserve!
I don’t want season 3. I want a proper reboot series or movie. I hope Christopher Nolan can helm it. If no they should bring back Peter Jackson, Alex Garland and Neil Blomkamp to do it
The only thing i hope for is that they dont make the characters SING or change their personality traits to much-
Neil and Nolan and jj Abrams all make a lot of sense.
Give Halo to Michael Bay
great shout actually, that would be awesome
Make movies, not series too
@@TheTrulynice1412 I'd rather have a few halo movies than a TV show as well
Fuck no lol. Michael Bay would give even less of a shit about the source material than the current producers do.
@@donda2111 you think?
If Christopher Nolan takes over and does a series or Movie about Halo i would love to see a Series about the ODST we need more stuff about the ODST not only games but a series and a Movie as well.
I don’t want a halo show. I want a halo movie.
Thanks!
He knows big time actors who could play Chief better than your local bodybuilder, EX/ the show actor
They need to take a page out of Nier Automata’s tv show playbook. They literally animated almost shot for shot the game and it’s AMAZING.
Halo ODST retelling would be great. The game already plays out like a tv show
I hope we get M. Knight Shamalan. What a twist!
But how is Jordan Peele going to make the Covenant a forced metaphor for Yt People Bad?
Did chatGPT make this comment too.
@@jacob818tanner Yes!
Anyone but Zack Snyder, the entire runtime for the show would be too long due to the excessive slo-mos
@@esprmusic and too dark to see anything
Id be very interested in seeing a Chris Nolan Halo. But, ive never heard of him doing a show. He'll probably be making a film. Then again, a game-based show looks more like a Jonathan Nolan thing.
Have this man make a Landfall or Reach series, even a continuation of FUD. CANON this time. The books and games are literally there. It's like ignoring gold that's right in front of you TvT
I would shit my fucking pants if Christopher Nolan did a Halo adaptation 😭😭💀
I still love his work for halo 3's marketing and wanna see Neill Blomkamp do more work for the franchise.
Jonathan Nolan did westworld and I think he's Christopher Nolans brother so if they got the Nolan's together for a halo TV show it could be phenomenal
5:12 true they did it all wrong i'm sub to you with that one
I'd LOVE for Master Chief to keep his helmet, and his clothes, on!!
I'd be curious to know if the writters or people around them didn't short paramount stock after this was going to be pushed......
Nolan would give out the super good dark feel that it needs. They have to do something to make the armor not so plastic looking
Christopher Nolan would be the perfect director. I used to think that Steven Spielberg would be great because he's done plenty of space themed projects. But Christopher Nolan would make the action feel personal, and the camera angle decisions are always fantastic in his films. SAVE HALO please Mr. Nolan!
Christopher Nolan is a god tier writer director. It would be amazing.
I could see more of his brother doing Halo. The guy just did Fallout and he did it very well.
I always thought making a band of brothers type show set in the halo universe would be such an easy slam dunk
imagine falling for obvious bait, halofollower
Nolan doing it would be great, especially since Chris’ brother did great on fallout
Damm.... Hell yeah.
Personally I'd love it if we got Steven Spielberg's version of his Halo movie/tv show. I would still love to see that finished
