I took it apart cleaned it put it back together, same thing. I seen your video and adjusted the peacock like you explained and she’s running like a champ again. Great video. I think I'm due for a oil change now because I've had it on PRI the last few rides trying to get a bike that was given to me road worth again. Now I know. Wish I looked up this video before
I forgot to turn it to off , and gas mixed with the oil, I didn't realize until I drove today . I ordered new honda oil and filter . Hopefully nothing is wrong with the engine , it's running but not perfect like usual . Pray for me my friends .
1984 honda silverwing 650 has 2 nipples on the back im guessing are for vacuum after watching this video but i can only see 1 nipple on 1 carburetor so i have no idea if both carbs need a hose and which hose from the 2 nipples do i connect to and what does the other do?

Is the mesh on the strainer of utmost importance. My mechanic destroyed the mesh in mine by accident and apparently I need to purchase a whole petcock at over £100 as the strainer cannot be purchased separately?

I thought I put it on the off position but just realized it was on PRI position. I put it back to on. What should I do? Did I mess my motorcycle up now. 🤦♀️ fist time motorcycle owner. 😬
I have a 1994 Honda Magna VF750. Whenever I start the engine it starts leaking gas. I suspect it is due to the petcock. The tube has a lot of gunk built up on it. How can I determine the proper petcock replacement? I've read that you can replace the older petcock with one that has a filter instead of just a strainer. If I am replacing the petcock should I update the petcock to one that has a vaccum like the third one mentioned in your video. I would love some guidance. Thanks!

The obvious is sometimes not. My 07 shadow has a small lever on the petcock but it fails to show if the lever points to say on by the long end or the short end. So I don't know if it's on or reserve...

Ordered a new petcock notice it came with these plastic inserts over the tubes of the petcock are those to be installed in a filter gas through them or do you just take them off my old fuel petcock did not have those plastic things let me know as soon as possible thanks. Installed with those plastic tubes over the fuel pet cock filled it with fuel and now fuel does not flow through the petcock I am confused?
Nothing bad will happen at all. But I wouldn’t really recommend it as it defeats the purpose of a reserve. If you run it on reserve only, then you’ll have no left over gas when you run out
If the carburetor bowl runs DRY ... because you ran it dry to store it for winter or for several months, You turn the valve to prime to allow the fuel to flow down to the carb bowl so you can start the bike up. Or you had to manually drain the carb bowl for cleaning or jetting, thats when you prime it to fill it back up.
Finally was able to find some good information! Thanks! So I have a 2001 Kawasaki BN125 and have the vacuum petcock. How should I leave it when the bike is parked? And how do I know which was to point it? There is no arrow on mine.

I have a mini bike and I broke my petcock its just plastic obviously a special plastic I see nothing really about them on TH-cam tho or how to fix them I doubt you can glue them back together

I have the last one that you showed. What should have it set at when the bike is just sitting in the garage over night or during the winter?
It doesn’t really matter, since like he said when the vacuum is removed the diaphragm closes. All the settings are the same at that point.

Can that debris cup be used to totally drain the fuel tank on a generator?

i got a bike that will on run when on pri. it bogs out within 5 minutes when on the one position or res. what would be the problem with the vacuum?

When your all out and empty. You prime when you refill to prime the carb with fuel
