I'd say clown killifish have more pros, and I quite like how they look too, but yes I think both of them together would be great, maybe with some pygmy corydoras if you have a ten or twenty gallon tank, so you have colorful nano fish occupying all three different layers and each having their own distinct look
Chilis for sure!! I have them with Endlers & they get along fine. I've got 16 rasboras & 4 male endlers in a medium-ish planted 8 gallon, dark substrate. They're like little birds flitting around in an emerald forest. I've had them for about 3 years now... I LOVE watching them more every single day! Bonus: they eat the same sized foods & they're low maintenence as well. Thanks for the vid ;)
So glad you're posting videos again! I've learned so much from your videos. Thanks for the great info in this post, I have shrimp in each of my tanks, so I'll be going with chili rasboras. All the best to you!
It was great that you posted this video when I decided to set up a full chili rasbora tank in my 11 gallon tank. You explained the differences between the two fish very well. Thank you so much for those informations :)
WOW it's been a minute since you've posted! SO Happy to see you again. I hope your health is much better. Really missed you & your informative videos. Tanks look Great by the way. Always look forward to your videos! Blessings ❤️🙏🐟🐠🐡
Love Chiles. I just added 20 chilies to a 14 gallons cube in my office. When they are out they mostly split into two groups and chill in different areas of the tank. When they come together for feeding, they fill in the middle open area. Almost seems like too many in there. Most of the time though, it looks like an empty tank with just a few little fish. The older Chiles in my community tank are an amazing red color. So fun watching them. They are very beautiful.
Yay she's making videos 😄 Happy new year Irene mam We were waiting for your videos Irene mam Glad to see your doing good More power to you ❤from india 🇮🇳
Nice to see you again Irene! For some reason I've never been attracted to killies, but that's just. I'd go for the rasboras but my first choice for a small tank would be Ember Tetras, great fish.
Happy New Year 🎉 I love the look of the clown killifish, they are definitely on my fish to own someday list. Good to know about the cooler temperatures with them!
I'm so happy you're back , love the content, I have a small 5 gal bedside aquarium and I'm wondering what to stock it with , I'm not sure how to make a tight fitting lid so chili rasboras it is
I like the clown killifish. Thank you for sharing the video. And wow I'm loving your realy green plants in your 20 Gallon aquarium behind you. Gosh, I wish my plants looked like that
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing. I'm very glad you shared it with us. May this year be a great year for you. May you only be blessed with good health. I found myself going back to so many of your videos. Great content 👌🏻. Hope to see a video soon again! Happy New Year, Irene, all the way from South Africa. You have a fan here 🤗
Both of these fish are actually really difficult to find amongst my multiple local fish stores. They sell out very quickly. One of my LFS has the chili rasboras, but they mixed them with other boraras species and nobody can tell which is which since they're so washed out in the store.
I've got a 33 long with my first school of about 20 chili rasboras. They share the tank with 17 pygmy corys and a single panda loach. I've got 4 more panda loaches on the way as well as some Paskai blue-eyed rainbows.
I currently keep spice rasboras due to me having cherry shrimp in my tank and I would like to try and breed my shrimp a bit (the tank has tons of hiding spots for babies) but I'd love to try and keep clown killifish one day in a different tank. Both types of fish seem very cool to own!
Right. Killis are bold ones. They swim up all the time when they see me. And they are pretty territorial. Even females chase one another to the other corner of the tank.
When you had the clown killifish with the shrimp did you have a dense ground cover? A few shrimplets might be able to hide in thick cover, if not it's still good food for the killi's
You make feeding Clown Killie fish sound easier than what I’ve heard from other people. I’m going to try them. What type of black substrate are you using? Where did it come from? Thanks
Since I found clown kili fish exist I've been wanting them, but I have my lovely blue velvet shrimp that tank and their population isn't growing much due to planaria that was there and probably other things. Now keeping some platy babies there that are probably also eating the babies, but also ate the overgrown daphnia in a few days so eh. Either way I love the shrimp and little shrimpies, I don't want kili fish to eat them all.
Congo Tetras in the fish store also look bland without a background or dark substrate. I tell people when i am shopping at the store that they are the most beautiful schooling fish. They do not believe me.
Clown killifish can get super feisty in groups of less than 6, even having only females doesn't negate the chasing+nipping in my experience. It seems like it only takes one territorial clown killie to rile up all of the others and create an endless cycle of chasing
I am keeping a group of clown killies! They are very tough, exploratory fish. Most of my breed has turned out to be females, with a 2 male: 19 female ratio. Only 1 male was born versus 17 females. Unfortunately, the males do not get along well and are separately raised, with each having a harem of his own.
to be honest I love both. Actually I have an 8 gl with a lot of chilli rasboras, 2 clown fish, pigmy corys and 2 Sparkling gouramis all amazing, definitely use something to keep the clownfish from jumping, used to have like 6 now only 2. Curiously though, it's been months since I removed the lid and they haven't jumped. I even changed them to another tank with almost full water level and they're fine, I guess they need need to acclimate for a while and keep away molesting fish like guppies or platies. They bother a lot slow fish like these
My class got to do a thing called teacher takeover, where the students taught about different things, so I decided to teach about gold fish, and some kid asked if you put bleach in the water to change the water page.
We go to heaven because Jesus paid for our sins not our works we have all done wrong But Jesus took our punishment so that just by trusting in him. We do not have to pay for the things we have done.❤❤❤❤
Romans 15:13- “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
In your opinion, which is better - chili rasboras 🌶 or clown killifish 🤡?
Wow youre back😊
Thanks for the vid! I got 10 chillis they are great amd hardy but sooooooo shy!! Took almost a fortnight for them to all come out from hiding!
I'd say clown killifish have more pros, and I quite like how they look too, but yes I think both of them together would be great, maybe with some pygmy corydoras if you have a ten or twenty gallon tank, so you have colorful nano fish occupying all three different layers and each having their own distinct look
Eish... difficult. Both are beautiful 😍

The most enjoyable fish youtubers!
Does anyone know how to get khuli loaches to breed?
Both are great! Thanks for the post!!!!!

Great video never seen that flaming tail before now the name makes sense. I’ve never been able to get chilies actually red myself.
I love clown killis they are highly inquisitive goof balls, and if you have enough cover for them they do breed, found three babies by total accident
SHE'S BACK!!!!!!
I just made the decision between these two a couple weeks ago. Waiting for warmer weather for my clown killifish to ship!
We love your videos so much can you recommend a good LFS in the Denver area ?
2 of my favourites!
Right. Killis are bold ones. They swim up all the time when they see me. And they are pretty territorial. Even females chase one another to the other corner of the tank.
I've always liked clown killifish
You're alive wow
Clown killifish all the way! I do want to try some chili rasboras too.

I'm dying to fill up my 10 gallon with rasboras only! I love them so much
Hey good to see you again
Whats that tall plant in your aquarium?
Ella Soma evergladi eye. Pygmy sunfish. Picky eater but great in a small tank.
Can you keep killifish with a betta?

WHAT WAS THAT LONG EEL LIKE FISH AT 0:32! I need that fish!
Freshwater Pipefish

I love mine I have 7 in a 50 gallon they should have been named rainbow fish.
i love the red from the chillis but those tails from the male Killifish
