You sold me on the 2.5" for 65mm. Technically, I bought it about 30 minutes before seeing your video, but that will be our secret. I suspect the Nighthawk will make it to my place about 8 weeks before the Journeyman does. That's one more item off my checklist.
I got one of the first ones I think and it works Amazing. Could not recommend more. When I upgrade to an 80mm spindle in the future I will definitely get another.
Any way to show it “in action”? Also? do the brushes need to in line with the router bit so the brushes don’t over bend when plunging or cutting deep into the material?
Hi Victor. I’ll try to get a video out in the next day or two. Yes I like to keep the brushes in line with the end of the bit or about 1/8” above the bit tip. This still provides great suction with my dust collector and prevents the brush ends from bending too much on deeper cuts.
You’ll notice that the brushes on the Nighthawk only surround the bit and don’t extend way out like many of the others do. Anytime the router moves to an edge area, there’s potential for the brushes to be off the workpiece and consequently lose suction. The brushes on the Nighthawk have a slight flare to them and are less prone to being sucked inward towards the bit as it’s turning.
The model is a Dell P2314T. I believe it’s been discontinued however if you go to the onefinity forum page and search for confirmed after market monitors, there’s a list of different monitors verified to work.
Hey Mitz. I'm currently running a 2.5" system for dust collection, but want to upgrade to 4". Considering buying the 4" boot and necking that down to 2.5" for the time being. I know there are physics at play here, but just trying to plan for the future. You have any insight on this? Thanks!
I personally don’t think that would be very effective as the pressure drop going from 2-1/2” area to 4” is almost 4 times. I would wait until you get your 4” dust collection system before getting the 4 “ dustboot

Very informative video. Question? Does he make a rear dust boot? Pros and Cons if any? I have a Journeyman X-50. Thanks for your input and video.
He does not have a rear dust boot at that time. I would be concerned about clearance height under the X rail.
Thank you for the continuing insights... waiting for my journeyman--What happen to the enclosure?
Working on a new one since I got the Journeyman

I am getting ready to order my One Infinity and looking at the Nighthawk dust boot. There are so many different options. What are the difference

Hello, my question is off topic, I would like to know what model your touchscreen is. I just bought my X50 without a monitor. Thank you!
