Great start to the month, Don. I loved this film the fiirst time I saw it several years ago. The info you provide is of such high quality I feel as if I am in film school. Thanks.
Cornel Wilde was married to Patricia Knight when they made this movie together; they later divorced. then cornel put his new wife in his subsequent movies also. unusual...
Thanks for the upload, I really love film noir. This is a gem! 👏 Lucille Watson was not credited in her part as the female prisoner's analyst psychologist.
Thanks Don P. Never sure about Wilde, certainly think he is the only not perfect thing in 'Leave her to Heaven' , just something about his acting doesn't quite click for me. Look forward to being proven wrong in this one.
Great acting. But how times have changed regarding Parole Officers. In this film, they are Steve Bannon types, who can even run for high office, while today no one mentions them, as crime and the criminal walk on their own five toes.
Yet another upload with the end credits cut off!!! Why??? There must be a valid reason as it seems to be across most channels. If there isn't then stop doing it; it ruins the experience.
No end credits were cut off. Movies did not always have end credits: Early films The earliest films didn't have credits, but instead just listed the film's title at the beginning. Production companies would sometimes include their logo in individual shots to brand their films. 1910s As fan culture grew, people wanted to know the names of the actors they were seeing, so credits began to be included. 1960s and 1970s Closing credits that listed the entire cast and production crew became standard in American films. 💥Enjoyed watching this movie!....Great story with professional talented actors. Not like today's amateur actors and actresses that need artificial enhancements for their lack of talents. No class in language or appearances. (Body piercings, implants, tattoos and auto-tune when they sing.) 😢
This is not this guy's first rodeo; bet he has a lengthy record; cost the city and state lots of resources; they just turn them loose no. Charges no fines; blame the police for harassment.🧑🏭👨🏭
SPOILER ALERT ......... Were we supposed to wonder if the girl was bad? Good? It wasn't until an hour in that I gave up wondering if I had missed something at the beginning! Standard film formula is that if the main character is identified as a murderer at the beginning then you are obviously supposed to despise the character. This seemed very confused film-making.
Everyone loves this and why not? But they apparenty don't know who Sam Fuller and Douglas Sirk were, with a couple of exceptions. If such films are good, it is because of the likes of Fuller and Sirk.
Male Parole officer takes attractive female parolee home? Starts dating her?? Asks her to marry him??? He would be fired and prosecuted for that today. Creepy if you think about it. He has the power to send her back to prison. And then at the end when they are caught the police don’t even prosecute him? He disappears for two months and doesn’t show up at his job on the run with an escaped criminal and he doesn’t even get any jail time? Very stupid movie.
@@ThePiratemachineI am sorry to hear that as I don't think any student ought to be "punished" especially in front of his fellow students.I don't think physical punishment is appropriate for anyone.
Any movie that Cornell wild produce he’s definitely going to get the girl he can be some kingpin and some organized crime with the girl is hostage still he gonna come out on top smelling sweet, but he was fine.
Pleasant enough, but not great. Marat's family is too too good. The film changes character mid way, becoming a chase movie. Things are resolved too neatly. Granted, they may have been simpler times, but in real life the couple would have done jail time. Still worth a look. C+
I really enjoyed this. Classic movies are the best. No cussing, no nudity- great storylines- I am glad I watched this one.
There’s nothing wrong with cursing and nudity but they did it creatively back then
Glad you enjoyed it. Welcome.
Just lots and lots of implied sex
Terrible B movie.
They don't make films like this anymore. I am impressed and lucky to be able to enjoy it. Thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it. Welcome.

That Harry does a great Alan Ladd impersonation.

Great ending for a dam good movie. Hollywierd propaganda didn't ruin it. I am used to their tricks of putting propaganda in a good flick.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was waiting for the maked torso shot. There is usually one in every Cornel Wilde movie.
So true. Thanks for the visit!
Of all the dresses she wore in the movie, I like the plaid one (that she was wearing at the end of the movie) the best..
Thanks for sharing. Welcome.

Good movie with an unrealistic ending- they'd both end up in jail. TY.
Good point. Thanks for watching.
Well this is sure pretty good. But it is 6:00 p.m. and I've got things I need to do
Thanks for the visit!
With a parolee like her, want to be a parole officer too! 😑
🤪😝
Its fiction, reality is Meths and Heroin addicts.

Patricia Knight and Cornel Wilde were husband and wife in real life at the time this film was made

Seamed stockings wow.

This film would NEVER be done today. ... Today, much more Cynicism, Nihilism, and too many mines in the mine field.
And that's what's wrong with today. No deeper theme.
I hear you. Thanks for watching.
Buen thriller de los 50

Not a great movie but OK. Esther Minciotti as Mrs. Marat, played a fairly convincing person with a visual sensory impairment.. Thanks DPB.
YES A BIT TOO LONG MANY REPEAT SCENES SPECIALLY THE BLIND MOTHER
It would be interesting to read Sam Fuller script before it was rewritten.
