The Company admitted to reading her Resume and her salary expectations before calling her in for an interview, so why would you waste Veronica's time when you were not willing to accept her worth?
That’s every job now and select resumes by AI. Employers have gotten worse and worse. They lie, lower your value and hard work and make excuses for everything. Their mindset is everyone is replaceable and it’s acceptable to mistreat people
The sad thing is they'll do just that they won't get back to the find someone else. The longhorn make them more money. Process that perfect employee every once in awhile. Why else would I reality be this horrible if they won't slowly conditioning I want to accept being paid horribly. To be in a position where you're actually invaluable. And be treated as such. Without them just getting two or three people paid a fraction of what you're asking that can cover the same job. Then as those crappy people who get paid crappy eventually become a little bit better at their jobs fire half of them. That have a system.
Dont know why she had to say the last thing. Not really good to start a relationship confrontationally. "I have worked really hard to get where i am and be as qualified as you are wanting for this role. I feel this is a fair amount for my services and welcome your response in 48 hours. I will continue my conversations with other companies at that time as they are working on offers as well and i would not want to be unfair to them. " Coming off hot in an interview is a red flag but so is being a mat to walk all over. Gotta hit that balance.
Then maybe they shouldnt have tried to lowball her at the interview. If they had an issue with the pay then thats something they could have sorted beforehand. They wasted her time.
@Sonnabend00 negotiation is pretty standard. Employees want as high of pay as they can get and employers want as low as they can get. So you do have to have the dance to a degree. She made a great point about her worth and qualifications and that if they dont want to pay what she thinks she needs, then they need to lower their expectations of her. The "shocked in corporate" moment here is telling. The person clearly has never dealt with someone who knows what they want. Now that being said theres definitely people trying to walk into 80k roles and demanding 150k of pay. Its clear when someone doesnt know the job market for their skills. And it is also clear when you have a fompany offer at 55k for that same role and are shocked to hear market rate is 80k. A lot of times they do this also to justify to hr or others to open roles in india or less expensive labor markets or get someone sponsored on a work visa and pay them cheaply as well. It all happens and it is all bs
@@philswaim392 Oh god India...a company I used to deal with tried that...can we say catastrophic backfire? Their complaint list was HUGE and they had to reopen the call centres here in Aust. What made me laugh the hardest was their actual admission that this venture had cost them more in bad PR and lost customers than the move to india had.... OUCH.
@Sonnabend00 diversifying labor sourcing can be really helpful. Especially when you need to be available 24/7. Lots of companies have no clue however how to deal with foreign countries and do knowledge transfer and training for your processes. It takes a lot longer than what is listed in contract.
She's too prickly and bristling. Every interaction doesn't require a confrontation. "Thank you but no. I'm afraid my salary requirements are non negotiable. Let me know if you change your mind." All of that other shit was unnecessary drama and off putting. I wouldn't hire her because the conflicts she produces would offset any value she brings to the organization.
I wouldn’t hire Veronica. Anyone who goes into a job interview and will not negotiate a wage that encompasses all their skills is the type who thinks they can do what they want, when they want, because they are indispensable. No one is indispensable, they were looking for an employee with your qualifications when you were hired and they will look again after you are fired.
No dude . She's very qualified and the company tried to low ball her. Plumbers , electricians and mechanics and HVAC ....all get low salary but they are very high skilled. It's very horrible out there 😔
When it comes to salary requirements in corporate America, it is understood that there will be negotiating on the parts of both the applicant and the employer. A company doesn't want to pay anyone at the highest range of what they have designated for any role at any level because it leaves them with no wiggle room for professional growth or company-wide raises. Should the company have posted a salary range instead of asking for a specific number? Yes. Should Veronica (as smart ass as she is) understand that just because they ask what you'd like to be paid doesn't mean they'll meet you at that salary point, and it sure as hell doesn't mean that you can "a la carte" your skill set. Her snark would have made me side eye her for several seconds and then tell her "You know what? I think you've shown me everything I need to see to move forward. We'll get back to you either way. Good day."
95k to answer a phone? 😂😂😂😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂 she on better drugs than we are. Guess she lives with mom n pop then. And if there are companies that would pay that, why arent you working there and not at this job interview? That would be my response, cuz baby girl, you sitting here in front of me at an interview like you dont have a job.
Too oversimplified of an approach. It depends on what she would be on the phone to do. Because if we are going by that logic we could say stuff like "$100k just to sit at a desk?"

Corporations never want to pay full price for anything.

Because..................
Because they were hoping they could browbeat or guilt her into accepting less than what she's worth.
It's worse than buying a car and trying to get a fair price for your trade-in.
Hey the company tried fishing for a bargain! Trying to see how desperate Mrs V was…….. AND SHES NOT DESPERATE!!! Hahaha
You can't negotiate if you can't say no.
Well at least she didn't lie and include the "team player" Buzzword.
I LOVE this channel!!
Is she applying for a job or relationship 😂
Hey, you didn't say that she was wrong.
@@Zebulization 😂😂😂😂
Everything is a relationship
Daym Veronika you are great. They should higher you a a negotiator!🤗🌹🌺
She could've countered with additional vacation days instead of fewer skills. Still a good vid
Companies in the US won't negotiate additional vaca days unless you're an exec level.
@@richardjarrow6004thats a broad statement and factually incorrect. “Companies in US” all companies or the ones you’re dealt with?
Where's the original audio from? I'd like to give her a sub.
same
I found this on one of the other channels that animates Veronica too: "Audio credit to @customerserviceacademy ."
Beautiful.... 😊
From this point on Veronica is my God Mother.
Be careful. You may live on the street then - I doubt anyone will pay 95k for answering the phone
@@susannpatton2893 Was it just for phone calls?

They want the world and refuse to pay for it. Then they wonder why people don't try their best lol

I wonder if this is a true story of someone and all these events happen to one person, perhaps the real Veronica?
