If I had a penny for every peak anime analysis channel from an indian guy that I follow I'd have two pennies. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice
Something mankoman would say
@@myintzukyikyawaung5675 funny how weve never seen pretentious and mankoman in the same room
@@hoshangmerzanazar2317 if they collabed that'd be crazy I would love to see that and just them talking about animation
Yeah. And there are probably hundreds of white American peak anime analysis channels.
@@maimunturzo I don't think so you understand what I'm saying. I'm saying it's not weird that they discovered two of these types of channels.
It really does look like a perfect middle ground between the cinematic realism-vibes of season 1 and the flatter, vibrant rawness of look back. Very interested to see how the whole film looks
This is exactly how I feel. As a lover of season 1 and big fan of the manga I am all for the changes made to the movie. It replicates the charm of the original much more than the first season even tho I respect Nakayama's vision.
with regard to the kobeni mouth 'drawing error', Yes its not super anatomically correct but it is very manga accurate, Tatsuki Fujimoto's facial expressions are often bizarre but tend to get emotion across very well thanks to that
great call out I was guna say this but I saw u 1st lol
9:57 I was gonna say it as well but you said it better than I would've
9:54 manga reader and artist here, this is specifically fujimoto's artstyle, he does the mouth like this when it's open
@@konkon_ye1058✨ thank you bro being an artist exposes one to constant criticism.
I love to hear the blissful ignorance from critics. I'm a manga reader and artist myself, I can already tell you I'm far from your caliber just from your knowledge of fujimotos art style
you being an artist really adds credibility to this. I'm a manga reader but never noticed this because I'm not an artist. Guess I'm just blind haha
Finally an actual animation breakdown and not just some dude saying "peak" and "hype" while having no idea what they're talking about
That's probably pretentious for you. He does his stuff well
Thank you for the message at the end regarding Season 1. I think the experimental animation style totally paid off, and it's my favorite season of anime ever. This looks good, but I'm also sad to see the old style go
So far based on the PV, it looks like the key animators working on the film (besides the known core staff) are:
Vercreek, Kaito Tomioka, Shuu Sugita, Daniel Kim, Shun Miyakawa, Tam Lu, Hayato Kurosaki.
Also Faure and Amoji confirmed they're on the film. While Niinuma had tweeted before he would be working on a MAPPA project, surely the film.
Yoshihara becoming the new director was the best thing that could have happened. I like that it still maintains the feel of S1 while still bringing something new to CSM.
Honehone being the action director is a gods miracle.

Thank you! Ppl act like S1 was a travesty, when it was beautifully animated all the way through. I adore this new direction they’re taking-it’s a nice middle ground, keeping the grounded and cinematic vibe of the first season while replicating the chaos and illustrations of the manga. I adore both versions!
absolutely, people are acting like s1 was the worst thing ever when it was actually a feast for our eyes. Sure, there are absolutely somethings that could've been done better in S1, but turning criticism into hatred is just abhorrent.
Social media anonymity has given people the idea that they can hate whoever they want (in this case nakayama) and get away with it.
They have 0 respect for the actual humans working on the show they love, instead only agenda pushing for clout.
Yeah even though it didn't match the artstyle as much as the movie do S1 is very cinematic and beautiful. The movie seems closer to artstyle of Look Back movie and Fujimoto's artstyle. I am loving the way effects are animated.
If yoshihara is gonna be the director for s2, I hope he brings nkym to direct 1 episode.
@solty_ 100% Agree. I've noticed most people only start focusing on animation during action sequences, but chainsaw man is filled to the brim with beautiful and fluid quiet sequences that almost everyone just looked over.
Season 1 was perfect, I’m gonna be so pissed if the darkness devil ends up looking bright and colorful I don’t like this new style
5:44 they're the same thickness, it's just the color that's different
Oh damn you're right. The lines were uneven internally so I ended up comparing a thin spot of one line to the thick spot of another. The lighter lines look a lot less pronounced so both points of mine still stand.
I was geeking so much during S1... the style was just unlike anything i had ever seen. This also looks amazing though, so i cant be mad. Just happy this masterpiece of a story gets a continuation. Peak
Brilliant video man🙏🏾 and I love what you said at the end about people learning to appreciate creativity even when it’s not their preference. Good stuff.
13:27 The way they are slandering Nakayama is so Sad
It was bound to happen. The man was catching strays when the first dandadan trailer came out. And the fact that he got replaced by Tatsuya Yoshihara of all people added on top of the slander he got from some people
@@ronel7836 wait...
DandaDan was first directed by Tatsuya?
Bro why did they change I honestly love to see DandaDan on a realistic way
@@MyNamesMegatron no
@@MyNamesMegatron No people were comparing Dandadan to Chainsaw man and getting mad at the director for no reason
@veryrandomvideos ok theyre not mad for no reason per se. But their reactions are excessive.
13:32 My thoughts exactly. I think it's a real shame Ryu Nakayama left but it's still absolutely gonna look great. I will say though, it's funny that the TV show tried going for a movie aesthetic but the actual movie doesn't haha
Really incredible and exciting trailer. This is my favorite arc in the manga, and everything you broke down for the trailer looks so phenomenal!
I definitely hope it gets a global release alongside its release in Japan… waiting is going to be awful.
curse you. i was about to go to sleep. now i have no choice
It kind of annoys me when people say that they're ditching the cinematic approach. This IS cinema
Look at the depth of field on these shots, and those beautiful painted backgrounds, and the careful shot composition. Just because there's more color now doesn't mean this is all of a sudden not movie-like
9:54
That's kinda just how Fujimoto draws mouths lol
Yes, so I've been told. I read CSM years back and I haven't read any Fujimoto manga since, so his artistic nuances are mostly lost on me lol.
@@ProbablyPretentious It's already a signature style of his. Like every character will always have this funny open mouth look whenever some unexpected sht happens.
Talking about the schedule, is Manabu's rapid growth gamble paying off? To reach 500+ employee so fast, to the point now where there's so many IPs and employees to sustain the studio without having to have bad schedule no more? since all their upcoming work have at least like 2x more time.
Wait HUH???? Mappa has 500 employees???? How in the hell
@@ronel7836 400 now, but they are growing like 80 every year rn
More then 500
I assume it dosen't hurt them money Wise now if they do it since they already make more money than Most studios combinded since they are always in production committee or producing it by themselves. Maybe now they want to Focus on strengthening their production lines and management issues they had with their projects (which kind of Shows with new people on the management side like hasegawa). And the Quality of each line shows, getting better every year. (although they are too generous with jigo lol, The director and animation producer are not that good and they get a lot of time, while not showing much in the teaser even after this much time lol)
The way I see it is that there's no other way than up from here, it's a good thing for everyone
12:35 just saying this ahead of time, this looks so much like Kosuke Kato and if it is I’m so hyped to see more of him. CSM is the type of series that would benefit from Kanada-style animation
3:17 🥶 transition
I don't know why but when I watched the trailer for the first time...I was SILENT!!!
Like I was in complete negligence HOW ANYTHING CAN LOOK SO DAMN GOOD?!?
Really excited to see the new KA Yoshihara, Seshimo and co could pull for the movie
Completely agree about all the hate being thrown at Nakayama. Severely hate this sort of elitism.
How the frik can you be an art enthusiast if you think that every other art style apart from the one you prefer is bad ?
I didn't hate nakayama for direction but his pretentious dialogue outside of shows production about imitating western shows & cinema, while his direction did help in calm & slice of life scenes, it totally detracted from the humour & absurd tone of the show which was majority of the show this clash of directors vision & show's tone led me to hate him, if he had worked on any other serious seinen IP I would have liked his self serious art style but irony is mappa put all there faith in shounen show & that lost them money while Vinland Saga elevated there status
Lot of the so called "sakuga" community are just pretentious assholes that think all animation should be the same and that being too consistent in style is a bad thing. (Unless the style is hyperstylized or loose & goofy of course, then it's "creative" and nothing's more important than "creative freedom" right?)
@@line4169 This is a take that I never really understood, because outside of Denji ( and Power ) what about CSM is absurd ?
It's not even like Fujimoto's humour is wacky like most anime humour is. Most it not all of it is because of how unpredictable he is that you can't help but laugh. ( eg : Aki getting kicked in the nuts )
This isn't Dandadan where characters are being unserious and cartoony for 90% of the time. Chainsawman always takes itself seriously, both manga and anime, and always plays everything straight
( Not throwing shade on Dandadan btw. I love it for how wacky it is. But I'm tired of people describing CSM as if it's Dandadan )
@@line4169How was his dialogue pretentious? All he said was that he wanted a cinematic approach to the way he directs it and you and other internet wackos are calling that pretentious? If you don't like the art style, that's fine, but stop saying bullshit out of nowhere, just because he decided to comment on how he thinks it should have been made.
@@badpiggy4177 What I can’t understand how anyone can read CSM and not notice how absurd it is, starting with the name of the series itself and the design of the main character’s transformation and even the mascot for the entire series.
Almost everything in CSM is supposed to be absurd. Denji is not just poor, he is absurdly poor. His goal at the very beginning is deliberately absurd. The way Denji beats devils, all of the hybrid designs, the fiends, the American brothers, Nakamura, the car scene, the burger scene, Kobeni dancing, the actual motivation and underlying character of the main villain and even the way Denji defeats it. I really can’t understand how you can read the stuff like Himeno puking in Denji’s mouth and not notice how deliberately trashy it is.
Fujimoto’s humour is very different from most manga’s but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t whacky or absurd, he is just way better at set-up and pay-off than most mangaka that are not making a straight up comedy.
The appeal of CSM, at least to me, is that this absurdity leads to genuine heartfelt moments and makes its deliberate melodrama more palatable. CSM doesn’t take itself seriously, I don’t know where you got the vibe that it does, CSM is like a comedian playing a joke completely straight. It doesn’t make light of the absurd elements that it introduces but they are still clearly meant to be a joke to the audience. Denji wanting to touch boobs being not just another way to show how fucked up his upbringing was, but also a way for him to learn how hollow the act itself is without a romantic connection first as well as a way to make a point that what makes a dream important is not the dream itself, but how much are you willing to fight to achieve it on top of a way for Aki to start realising that his own ambitions are not any better as both of them are fighting for personal gratification, which becomes the first step in both becoming not only friends, but family is beautiful and proof of how good Fujimoto is as a writer and how tightly written is the story is, but it’s also, very clearly, a joke.
Denying that this aspect exist is taking away so much credit from the series and from Fujimoto itself. CSM to this day is classified as a comedy amongst other genres and it has absolutely earned that title.
Fujimoto described how he saw CSM as “wicked FLCL/pop Abara”, and I think he nailed it.
God damn, this guy knows ball
Thank you for the breakdown, I've only seen 2 of your videos, but both have been of very high quality. Definitely sticking around to see more :- )
3:30 Hone is not the Action director but the Action AD, it was a miscredit and wrong translation.
I was waiting for a community post but got a video instead🥳
Finally Chainsaw Man teaser breakdown.
Yo, awesome breakdown! Absolutely loved the trailer, so it's awesome to see the positive reception online
I feel you on the season 1 hate, though. It’s always disappointed me how polarizing it wound up being, considering how much I enjoyed it. It just felt really fresh and new to me, so I was surprised how many people didn’t like it. To each their own, I suppose
Personally, I REALLY like the new direction. While I’m not gonna say I think it’s better art than what Nakamura gave us, I’m inclined to think it’s a better direction for the show. My impression is that the character designs are simpler and easier to draw, and (like I believe you mentioned) there seems to be a greater tolerance for inconsistency from cut to cut and frame to frame. Seems like that might make it easier for animators to flex their creativity and skills, and might even reduce the overall workload since there’s just less to draw and fewer details to keep track of? I dunno - I know very little about all this, so I’m really just speculating haha
Regardless, great video! Got me hyped!
10:03 I believe the notch is there to imitate Fujimoto's manga style
I'm fine with them taking all the time they need if this is what they're gonna be putting out. Phenomenal looking animation.

11:52 I dont wanna be that guy, but as a Reze fanatic she isnt suppose to have clothes here😭 I get censorship bc she literally runs around naked that chapter, but her body is just regenerated from her head entirely so manifesting panties would not make sense unless they add an exclusive scene mid fight
she literally manifested panties in that chapter so they just censored it more early then what he did. I think we just have to admit that some stuff in csm just doesn't make sense
Twitter is so shit man it's so full of negativity
Season one was exceptional, even with the rushed production at the end. However, after watching Look Back, I realized that for all season one did right, it didn't capture the Fujimoto character style or the eerie nature of the manga. This new approach looks promising for both of those criticisms I had.
2025 will be the year of animated movies. I can't wait for both this and infinity castle part 1 next year
There so many other interesting things like dan da dan trailer or sakamoto days or blue box will you do a separate video
"he's like really good"! Lol
The man is an battle anime Diety
This movie is gonna be 🎥🔥
If there's one thing I hope they keep going into the movie and onwards, it's the clothing/drapery animation from s1. Sure it's a movie, things will generally still look really good, but I really love the overt emphasis on flowing drapery and detail on the character's suits and jackets from Nakayama's direction and I hope this new simpler style doesn't take too much of that away.
I wonder what MAPPA's production lines look like rn
They have pushed back Jigo and JJK, so far only CSM movie being their only big IP in 2025, and only one show in 2024. I feel like Manabu has slowed down and decided to polish his production process.
Rose of Versailles, Zenshu, Lazarus, Ranma 1/2 s2 (80/20), Dorohedoro s2 (50/50), Campfire cooking in another world s2 (50/50) and probably one or a few other unknown shows but yeah, it seems "better", maybe an effect of the new management?

@@critterchamber Should be in 2025...whenever Adult Swim wants to release it lol
13:35 So true, some people you used to respect having such a narrow & elitist view of the art form is so disheartening. (Also the ones that don't openly say anything but they're still taking part in the discourse/shitting on S1 indirectly if you read between the lines at all.)
Too much of the community is arrogant, elitist pricks that think that their idea of "creative freedom" of is the only valid approach to the medium while snidely dismissing certain creative approaches (Because creativity = less variety, right?)
I like individual artists too but not every show needs to be a personal portfolio showcase for every random mf involved in the project, it's ok to have a strong/cohesive vision and sometimes "limiting" individual artists is not a bad thing. You wouldn't say that about an auteur director working in live action film so what makes animation any different?
I don’t think anyone who expresses disappointment with S1’s approach and prefers the movie’s due to the latter allowing for creative freedom are being elitist. You can very well express your opinion about a person’s creative vision not being something you preferred (or found not to be the strongest choice) and not be a snob. I think some people boiling down the criticisms others might have of S1’s vision as them just outwardly/passively shitting on a cohesive live-action take is a bit reductive of the points they’re genuinely trying to make.
Yes, there are absolutely people out there using the film to besmirch the value of S1’s approach, which is a bit immature. There are also people who are using the film’s direction as a way to clarify to those who gave them grief for criticizing S1’s vision what their ideal adaptation of chainsaw man would have looked like; there’s nothing wrong with expressing that opinion, I think. Of course doing so means pointing to what didn’t work for those people in the first season, but that doesn’t make the act of doing so elitistism; there’s nuance in this conversation I feel people are overlooking due to escalated emotions
@@sonicsenryaku6205 Thank you for sayin this. Ppl jus make up stuff when they find an opposin view they disagree wit & it's so stupid & annoyin

It's a movie though so it's just gonna have 1 song
I'm pretty sure Denji will still be 3D for closeups where they need to show his chainsaw spinning
In fact, that's something I was a little sad to see in this trailer. His chainsaws didn't seem to be spinning at all
Anyway, everything else looks great.
They can get away with it with some tricks, i assume some people are also that good to be able to it in 2d
I think most people wouldnt have notice or cared as long as it doesnt look CGI-ish.
@globurim I get that but .....
If his chainsaws aren't going to be spinning, then he isn't Chainsawman anymore
He may as well be ..... Sawman lol
who tf cares? i don't care if the chainsaws are spinning or not i don't want cgi chainsaw man neither close up nor zoomed out
@heisenberg3206 dude it's going to happen you might as well get over it now
I'm kinda disappointed with the art style change, I really like the realism style from before, but damn the animation is still just as good so I'm hyped!!
It is a completely fair and reasonable take to prefer the new style over the style of season 1 because you think it fits the Chainsaw Man series better and is closer to the manga. But to say that S1 is badly animated is one of the most absurd and ignorant takes one could possibly have. From an objective perspective S1 of CSM is one of the best animated anime ever. For example S1 of CSM and Mob Psycho are visually both 10/10 shows from an objective standpoint, but if you switch their styles and make Mob Psycho be ultra realistic like S1 of CSM Nakayama style it won't work despite the actual animation still being a 10/10 objectively.
Grahhhhhhhhhh 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
I'm glad that the movie allows for more stylised artwork, causes I do think that it was a shame that Ryu Nakayama's vision didn't allow for stylised animation considering the absurd amount of talent that worked on S1. I don't hate S1's strict desgin reinforcement, hell I loved it a lot and I appreciate that Nakayama wanted to do something different. Animation is a medium to for experimentation afterall. So it was sad to see that people basically wanted coloured manga panels with sound. As happy as I am that this movie will allow for more creative freedom, it also leaves a sour spot because it gives the S1 haters more ammo to hate Ryu Nakyama even more😔. It's just disheartening that the medium that affors the most creative freedom is also sometimes the most restrictive due to "fans" happy. But at least this movie (and potentially the upcoming seasons) are in good hands. I just also hope that rhis movie doesn't put too much strain on JJK S3, I hope it releases in mid to late 2026🙏🏽. But given Mappa's track record I don't have high hopes honestly...
The way I see it, the season 1 strict character design is in itself, very unique and I can't imagine chainsaw man in any other art style. It sucks to see that the reception for trying something different is this bad.
I think the realistic approach is not bad. But I think its better done on other shows. Maybe Goodbye Eri since its not as energetic and more fluid character animations.
I couldn't have said this better myself. I really wish we had gotten to see his vision through the series
Checking Japanese Twitter and seeing all the Ryu snake memes is so sad for him but lowkey funny. I just didn't realize how much they hated him
Bro make a video on Bleach episode 38 Friend. Everything from art direction, voice acting, action animation, layouts was picture perfect.
Does anybody know if they added another AniP or moved him to mainly csm or jjk?
Or is it just that they will just widen the gap between the 2 shows?
They will probably add another aniP to JJK
Rumours r there they will promote one of the prod desks as 2nd aniP for jjk (chances for this to be true is high ig)
Liked it (I'd rather get JJKS3, but we have to alternate). Curious to see how they adapt certain moments. How much time did they get to work on this? Hope they didn't have to restart with a director change
this is what chainsawman should look like
I think what especially sours S1 for people is that the final fight isn't a banger. And people tend to equate that with the "director's vision" when most of the few "problems" with S1 are consequences of time constraints.
I personally would have loved to see the 'cinematic approach' in....cinema. But just hope Nakayama can move on from all the hate he's been getting.
Kanade vs Honami the movie...
yeah it's tragic that people are using this trailer to continue the hate against nakayama. you can have your criticisms of s1, but turning criticism into blind hate is terrible. all people do nowadays in anime/sakuga spheres is just agenda pushing. people tend to forget that there's real artists who put hours and hours of their life into making the content they watch
So depression Season 1 was so unique and beautiful. This is technically fun but at the loss of some that made it special to me
At 1:10 of the trailer, i was like tanjiro????
I was so worried about the movie and season two when I heard they got rid of the guy responsible for the style from season one. Season one was absolute perfection and I thought the movie and season two would have a significant tonal shift that it would be off putting as a fan of season one but I gotta say this trailer got rid of all my worries.
You should do a breakdown for coryxkenshin's monsters we make animation.
I am not trying to be negative or anything but people need to realize that this is a movie so ofc it looks better than s1. But what people also need to realize is that this is a movie and season 2 won't be as good as the movie. Yeah it might look similar but don't expect the season 2 to look as good as the movie. Specially in animation aspect. We might get some episodes with incredible animation but don't expect the whole 2nd season to look as good as the movie when it gets animated.
I mean I don't think I need to explain any of this to anyone but I've seen a trend where you tubers are so hyped about this movie and there's a chance that they will go into the 2nd season fo chainsaw man when it gets animated with the same mindset.
I hope you understand what I am saying.
Ngl i didn't like that makima shot. The rest of the drawings looked really good and the action is gonna be better than season 1. Wil miss ryu nakayama story boards and his realistic approach but eh season 2 action will be bombastic

As a wise man once said: "Some people don't deserve anime"
I dont care what people say season 1 was still a masterpiece, people also fail to realise that tastsuki fujimotos works have a cinematic framing to them which season 1 adapted perfectly, a shame it wasn't realised well by the fans
That tracking shot on the train right before they run up on public safety was pure Wes Anderson. Loved that shit.
The match on action with the cig before they cut to the work party.
Just the atmosphere in general

i liked earlier animation more looked more next gen
This look like just big budget classic anime like aot when witt studio was making it, but not like next generation animation
I mean csm season 1 reminded me a lot of season 1 aot
Feels closer to the manga now
damn... I loved the grim atmosphere in the chainsawman season 1, but it received poor critics (mostly from japanese). Hopefully it still, even for a little bit, keep the same feeling.
I feel like some people forget that Nakayama is an actual person with feelings. It's perfectly fine that people dislike how he directed season 1, but there's no need to be mean-spirited about it
do not redeem it 🔥
I haven't seen saucelot in a while on the buroo. Has he been doing things?
Saucelot retweeted the CSM pv on twitter 🤔
@ThisKid50 cool hopefully he's in it
I was very here and there about s1 but overall it's a good adaptation and good animation. But this. This is more than I could have ever imagined
Isn't honehone the action animation director?
The credits at the end of the trailer credit him as "アクションディレクタ" which literally spells out the English words "action director" so I think it's that, and not action AD.
There is one concern for me:
Non action scenes
From what ive seen from the movie its just 1:1
There are a lot of Character acting cuts dude
It doesnt have as much character animation as S1 but its not a 1:1 either. Theres animation from here and there.
@globurim it's pretty had Character acting on near every cuts. How you're comparing it to The whole s1? While some episodes were a bit flawed too
@@A1000-b9s my concern isnt the animation. Rather the framing its like 1:1 to manga with minimum changes.
You don't know that yet. We just had a teaser, not even a whole trailer. We don't even know the whole content. Perhaps they'll have bonus character acting that we'll see only in the whole movie
Man it's going to suck thinking of the greatness we were robbed of just because a bunch of tik-tok brainrotters speedran through all the fights in part 1 of CSM and blasted the anime for not being 'schizo' enough, whatever the hell that means... I have high hopes for Yoshihara, but Nakayama added something you don't really get with other anime, where Fujimoto has a knack for exploiting paneling to it's fullest (the curse devil's fingers flicking in from off page for example) Nakayama understood it was pointless to replicate that, and instead looked to taking advantage of the perks of visual media through the frames of cinematic shots... Hitting you with visuals that linger with you, that can illicit emotion even, and had he been given the chance to carry that into the bomb-girl arc I think we'd all be having a different conversation, but unfortunately he got stuck adapting the most boring arc of the manga because of course the series has to start somewhere, with one of the most forgettable villains and plotlines not only in the series but arguably in general, Katana-Man is established as a fodder character on his introduction when he gets merced by regular human Aki, despite being an immortal weapon-hybrid that's supposed to be the first direct rival to Denji, and we all saw how that turned out, (Spoiler alert) we don't even know his name and he's brought back for part 2 just to continue to be useless fodder 😭
So yeah, I have high hopes this gamble works out but I see no way they make a return in the investment they've put into this, it's taken 3 years of dev-time to make stylized animation changes you honestly need a magnifying glass to see, or to have came immediately from season 1, and in regards to the action shown a brief look at peoples reactions isn't really a good sign as nobody can even discern what the hell is happening throughout it, and I noticed Denji's chainsaws are barely revving throughout a lot of his scenes, guess the difficulty of that wasn't just a cop-out to use CGI after all huh? Just please don't let people screw this up again, this story deserves to be experienced 🤞🙏
Маппа-боты наконец-то получили новую методичку.
Manga readers have been vindicated. Season 1, instead of elevating the source material, actually detracts from it.
Incorrect, manga readers will taste qrow when the movie bombs in theaters and dvd/bluray sales because, look at the reaction to the trailers, it's a mess, and nobody can even tell what the hell is happening in the action now, and Denji's chainsaws aren't even spinning half the time, (guess that wasn't such a copout after all huh) all this money being put into this movie with 3 years of dev time and hype building, we'd better all hope it's a blowout or it might sink our chances at experiencing the CSM story for good, not like the manga is doing much better with part 2's artstyle practically coming apart at the seams.

The animation for s1 is great but directionally it handled an unfittin style in an incredibly amateur way. This feels so far like a much better balance of the things that worked in it wit somethin that inherently fits csm more & it's all much more expertly handled as well. I don't have anythin against nakayama & like most of his work but he did a poor job in adaptin this work(which WAS on purpose) & was incapable of provin Y that should be ok to do. Yoshihara was 1 of the ppl I praised in s1 & I kinda hoped he would be on the list of candidates to get picked for continuin csm & so far it seems mappa agrees for the most part so I'm glad. It actually makes me excited for csm again cus watchin look back made me somewut more frustrated wit wut was done for s1 but the shift here so far seems really well done & makes the anime actually feel like some representation of the source. This is mostly bout animation, color, line art & wutnot but even the VA sounds like he's been uninhibited by the old direction.
You’re calling it amateur and there’s nothing amateur about it. The compositing of S1 is some of the best ever made. I love the light of that show. You may not like the style choice but there’s nothing amateur, it’s extremely impressive
@@jmiquelmb compositin & wut I'm talkin bout R 2 diff things. I didn't say anythin bout compositin y r u makin shit up? U only say it's impressive cus the animation is good but that alone doesn't make the execution of direction of a high quality
@@nightlydata2181 That was just an example. The direction was great, Idk what problem you see with it. Camera, tone, editing
INCREDIBLY AMATEUR, words from the master himself
@@jmiquelmb it was not. I've seen tons of anime & other works outside that do it way better. it jus wasn't handled well by nakayama. I'm not jus sayin this nor am I the only 1 who recognizes this
